I came here with a friend and really enjoyed the ambiance, the food & the wine selection. The prices are fine — not super expensive, nor cheap. It’s the sort of place you’d go for a celebration when you don’t mind spending a little extra. I had the Rigatoni Quattro and added shrimp. The sauce, the pasta and the fat shrimp were delicious, but you only got 4 shrimp for an additional $ 3.50. At almost a dollar per shrimp, I found that a little steep. My date got the Grilled Salmon with Tortellini in a Dejourden Sauce. The server warned her that this was a mustard sauce, and said some patrons don’t know what«dejourden» means and are startled when the get it. The server made appropriate recommendations for wine to accompany our meals, as well. The service was prompt and attentive without hovering. It’s nice that this restaurant is attached to the Electric Stick; my friend and I ate dinner at Marvaso’s and then just walked over to shoot some pool. I like this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a classy dining experience in Westland.

The service was pretty good, granted we were in there at 6 oclock and it was not very busy. The food wasn’t great. The lobster bisque I got tasted decent, but I wasn’t quite sure where the lobster was? The calamari fritter was pretty solid, although the calamari pieces were a tad too big, which were pretty chewy. The main reason for the 2-star rating was the tough, small piece of veal parmesan. I am almost positive that this was a 4 ounce round steak. The meat was a very tough piece of meat. Usually, you can cover up any less than ideal cut of meat by adding a half pound of cheese. This was not the case. For $ 4 more, I would definitely recommend heading 5 miles east to De Lucas. Much better veal parmesan. I do like the fact that they have a handful of large screen HDTVs above the bar. If only they could get the food right, it could be a fantastic spot.

Oh, Marvaso’s what can I say? You are one of my newly found favorite restaurants! The wait staff is very friendly, the food is marvelous, and the restaurant is not only very nice, but really quite lovely! The only thing is I wish that instead of being in a strip mall that your establishment was a stand alone, oh well, can’t have everything! This time had ravioli pasta with Italian sausage. Mwah! Deliciouso(if that is a word). It is right next to the Magic Stick or I think that is the name of it — this place is a pool hall and a card playing establishment. I definitely will be back Marvaso’s — keep my seat warm for me!

Still very happy with Marvaso’s. We go to the more and more popular Wednesday $ 9.99 filet special and this week was as good as ever. I like a little Lobster Bisque to start it off and then we plunge into the tender filet. It is excellent. The service is excellent and everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. 5 Stars.

I have been here multiple times and am continually underwhelmed by the food. The service is fine for the most part, but it is mediocre Italian cooking at a price that makes the meal leave an overall bad taste in my mouth. The atmosphere is a lot nicer than you might expect of a strip mall establishment. Lots of dark wood paneling give the place a very cigar room feel. I could see myself coming here for a drink and a quiet conversation. From overcooked pasta, to lackluster offerings on the menu, you can do better. The setting is cool but the food really make this a forgettable restaurant. I am glad i tried the place but will endeavor to not come back again.

One thing I hate the most is when a restaurant doesn’t abide by their hours of operation. I just called Marvaso’s to order a carry-out but after being on hold for a few seconds the man on the phone tells me that they are closed. I made the call at 8:44pm and according to their website they are supposed to close at 10pm. They just lost my business for good and I live a stone’s throw away so if I would’ve enjoyed my food they lost a lifelong customer.

I want to give this place a higher score, but I just can’t. We’ve come multiple times, and actually stopped coming when they instituted a rule that you cannot take anything off their specialty pizza’s. So, if you don’t like onion, too bad. So, we opted not to go here for a while. We had been going weekly since our boys love the fries here. You run a 50⁄50 chance in getting good service. Most often something goes awry. Bill is wrong, they’re out of something, they forget part of your order … the list goes on in my own personal experiences. Even despite this, I find myself coming back. Your best bet for a good experience would be to order a pizza and salad. Lobster bisque is good and probably why I keep coming back, but must have the rolls with it. The atmosphere is nice, darkened, lots of wood work, and a ton of TVs to choose from. Overall, I don’t mind coming here when it’s suggested, butI hope one day the service improves.

I have never been so upset in my life… I’ve had to live 26 years without this place! Five months ago I created this account just so that I could let people know how terrible a restaurant is. In fact, most of my reviews are about how bad my experience was at an eatery. However, this place is OUTSTANDING! Not only was my rigatoni cooked perfectly, covered with a delicious creamy cheese sauce, and baked with a layer of heavenly tasting mozzarella, but the experience of just being there was gratifying enough. I, as I explained, ordered the Rigatoni Quatro, and added grilled chicken and asked for it parmigiana… oh geez, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I ordered the«dinner» portion because I was absolutely starving; this size was far too much food for me to finish but boy did I try. The rigatoni was al dente, the way I like it, the cheese sauce was creamy and simmered thoroughly so that there was no trace of grittiness or clumps; the baked cheese, oh the baked cheese, was quality. When I bit into it I could taste the bit of saltiness and the right amount of grease. it was a cheese that I never wanted to stop chewing. I also got the house salad to begin my meal and even that was incredible. The lettuce was fresh and even slightly sweet. The shredded carrot, which I normally hate on salad, was a perfect texture and complemented the homemade Ranch and thin shredded cheddar. In fact, it was so good that some of my salad disappeared and somehow reappeared on my 3-year-old daughter’s plate. Hmm. My daughter and hubby split a pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. The pizza was a special that evening so with whatever size pizza was ordered, a second was only $ 1.99…which we took advantage of so we could have something for home The crust was a little sweet, slightly yeasty, and chewy and crispy in all the right places… PERFECTION! The cheese, once again, was that awesome cheese that sends me to the moon. The sausage was exactly what you would want but the pepperoni was the star. The pepperoni were those kind that curled and cupped as it baked so that the ends were a little crisp and the centers chewy; it held just a bit of a porky grease in the middle that made every bite just as good as the first. Thank goodness we bought the second pizza because only an hour after we got home, my fiancé gobbled up four more slices… and I’m probably going to do the same for lunch today. Oh Marvaso’s Italian Grille, how I wish we had met sooner. I could have saved myself so much disappointment and aggravation from all of the sub-par and shoddy restaurants. Your atmosphere, service, and management were enough to satisfy me, but you topped it off with your sovereign dishes. I yearn for the next time I can walk into your doors and try something else from your menu. Maybe a special of filet mignon on Wednesday, Thursday when I can get a buy on get one for 99cents burger, or Friday when I can have your never-ending fish and chips. Until next time Marvaso’s…

I think Marvaso’s would have gotten 3 stars from me if it were anywhere but Westland. We have a sad lack of decent, independent restaurants in the area. That being said, I really liked it here. The décor is more bar than restaurant, but it worked. What really impressed me was Dave and I walked in at 10:30pm on a Friday night. We were told they close at 11pm, even though their website says 1am. Anyway, we were greeted so warmly and the service was excellent. It would have been very easy for the staff to rush us and try to get out of there, but that wasn’t the case. Dave ordered fish and broccoli, both of which were cooked really well. That also says a lot about the chef-just because it was almost closing time didn’t mean we got food that had been sitting around. Everything was fresh and hot. Oh! I almost forgot the best part! Great Ranch dressing!!! We’ll be back, especially to try some of the specials they have going on.

I like Marvaso’s it is decent food and deals abound. Marvaso’s has happy hour Monday through Friday 3−6pm. They feature $ 2.00 domestic bottled beer or 16 oz draft, $ 2.5023 oz domestic draft, $ 2.75 well drinks or $ 5.00 select martinis. Fun. Daily specials include buy any pizza, get the second one for just $ 1.99 on Mondays. Buy any drink, get the second for $ 1.99(excludes happy hour specials) on Tuesdays. Wednesdays all domestic bottled beer only $ 2.00 open to close. Thursdays get a classic Big Stick Burger meal at regular price and get a second burger for 99¢. I like the lobster bisque in here. The sandwiches are predictable but reliable. The salmon was surprisingly good. They use Mama Mucci pastas which I like, my fave is the Italian sausage and rigatoni with the peppers. The pizza is decent as are the burgers. They give you a bread basket too which I always like. Carbs are always my friend. Speaking of which they have a Sanders hot fudge cream puff for dessert. Ahhhhh so nostalgic.

Where to begin? This place is just a guaranteed win on all fronts. It’s a nice mid-sized restaurant with some good seating. The décor and setup here is very tastefully done. They have multiple projectors and TV’s setup to play the sports, but even with many of them on it doesn’t give the vibe of a sport’s bar during the day. I haven’t came in the evening, so haven’t checked out the connected pool hall, but I hope to be back again someday and give that place a go as well. Service is outstanding. Fast, attentive, and helpful. They seated us quickly, took orders quickly, kept the drinks full, got all the food out in a good time, and basically did everything that should be done in a decent restaurant. The food is pretty much excellent all around. It’s advertised as an Italian place, and while it does have an excellent standard for that there is much more than simple Italian food on the menu. Burgers, pizza’s, there’s a good variety for anyone. The best part is, it all is well prepared and tastes terrific. Drinks just need their own special mention. Great beer list, a surprisingly robust wine list, a fully stocked bar, and a great martini drink list. This place is in a class of it’s own on this front. The atmosphere here is very family friendly during the day. There is a small stage and lighting setup for live entertainment and events, which looks to give a good room view while not dominating the place while there is nobody performing on it. I suspect they have some great entertainment in there, on occasion, and would really like to hit this place up next time I’m in the area to check it out. Overall, I’ll be honest, it’s definitely in my top 3 of Italian restaurants. I’m out of Sacramento, CA, and good Italian dining is pretty easy to come by there. This place is up with the best in food quality, and their restaurant setup, drink selection, and service easily puts it into the top tier. I only wish there was someplace like this in Sacramento, with the connected pool hall. It’d instantly become a regular stop point for me.

A solid, well-run and respected restaurant in Westland. Here you’ll find a family run restaurant connected to one of Westland’s pool halls«The Electric Stick.» It’s a great place for Italian dishes that have monsterous portions. They’re well known for their Chicken Marsala, Lobster Bisque and those delicious buttery, garlicky bread rolls. This is a quiet, dependable restaurant that my wife and I frequent when we’ve had long days and want food that we always know will be consistently prepared well. Hand-made pizzas, great drink specials and minimal wait if any make it a regular stop for us.
