KFC

The fried chicken is the usual KFC fare, but it’s never ready when you are. I’ve been there multiple times for some KFC and they always say it’s going to be a 5 to 15 minute wait. There seems to be enough traffic to keep chicken ready and the chicken we get isn’t particularly fresh or crispy, so I have a little problem with that. Sometimes I go to the Garden City KFC and get back home faster than waiting for this one. Go figure, 2 stars on the service!

I stopped by here to get a small meal to take with me to a reunion picnic since I couldn’t make anything homemade and I got a good meal. The clerk at the drive thru window saw I was from California and asked what brought me here. When I said it was for a Franklin High reunion she got animated and said that was where she goes! Considering I was in a neighboring suburb, that was a coincidence.
I asked for a 2 pc meal but discovered later they gave me, and charged me for, a 3pc. Oh well, only a dollar more I think and I shared the third piece with someone who was hungry later so it worked out.
The friend I’m staying with said her family no longer patronizes that location because they once had a large order get messed up and were given a hard time about it even tho it was the clerk’s fault. They ended up just getting a refund after being given grief and won’t go back there. I didn’t know that but went there because it was only a couple of blocks from her house.
I suppose I would go back, though I have since found places with much better chicken, like the Mr. Chicken on Plymouth Rd in Livonia.
