Independent Carpet One

We recently bought our first house! The former owners had all of the carpets cleaned, which was awesome except it brought up all of the nasty pet smells that had been hidden in the carpeting. We have a 15 month old little girl who loves playing on the ground, so we decided to get new flooring so it was clean and safe for her to play.
We chose Independent Carpet One based on reviews that we read on Unilocal.When we went in to the showroom in Westland we met with Cathy. We told her the specifics we wanted with our carpet — durable, comfortable, green labeling/​low off gasing, and relatively inexpensive since we just bought a home and still needed furniture.
Cathy went through all of our «wants» and told us what we could get in the store, she explained to us about all of the different products they have and then made a great recommendation for us to start looking at the Lee’s brand of carpet. She let us know that it would be a great carpet choice because it had many of the properties that we were looking for in carpet, plus so much more. And at the time it was 50% off, which allowed us to get a higher quality of carpet for a great price!
We chose to have Carpet One do all of the labor, which raised our overall price, however it was worth EVERY penny we spent! David and Ali did a phenomenal job of safely & efficiently removing the old carpet and pad, sanitizing and cleaning our space and then laying down the new pad and carpet. I know that there are seams in the carpet, because I saw the schematic drawing of how they were using the remnants of the carpet and yet we cannot find a single seam! Great care was taken with our home and we are very appreciative of that!
The entire carpet experience was fantastic and effortless on our part. Carpet One will be getting all of our flooring business in the future and will be the business we recommend everyone going to for their flooring needs. Thank you Cathy & Carpet One for making our home safe for our little girl to play in. We have a great warranty and look forward to living in our new space. Carpet One was upfront with all of the fees and expenses so there were no surprises on the installation day, which happened about 1 week after we picked out our carpet.

Just had carpet installed yesterday from Independent Carpet and we are very pleased! I thought for sure I would find a better deal than what Bob (One of the owners) offered us a 13 by 15.5 foot room was like $ 500.00. They even had the carpet in the back room so we supposedly got a better deal. I then went to Home Depot, Lowes and some other carpet store on Ford Rd in Canton in hopes of beating the deal we got. Nobody could beat the deal we got. The guys that installed the carpet were right on time and we are very satisfied customers! Thanks again Bob!!!

My husband and I bought a house in Clawson that was a total tear-​out, including needing all new carpet on the second floor. We were DONE with all the renovations and simply wanted the carpet in before Christmas.
I was referred to Bobby at Carpet One and had an amazing experience. We were in a hurry and not picky — we basically knew the color we wanted, but were open on texture/​style — we just wanted it installed yesterday.
Bobby was quick to understand our needs and took us right back to the warehouse so we could see what was in-​stock. We chose a carpet and he gave us a great deal — even negotiated the price down several hundred dollars.
The cherry on the sundae was that after a quick phone call, we had the carpet installed the next day! We just had our house-​warming party and all our guests were impressed with the installation and quality of the work.
