I’ve been here several times in the last 3 months. Typically I go to wineries with my friends because they want to go. But Giessenger Cellars, it is not by accident that I come again and again. Mind you I am not a wine person really. Hard Liquor & Craft beer is really my type. Giessinger is the exception. The whites really surprised me. I’ve tried 3 of them, and they are pretty darn good. I don’t care for whites at all, but Symphony I must say, it is excellent! The reds are good, the Barbera is the best of the bunch. The dessert wines are quite tasty. The raspberry and the apricot dessert, are very unique! What blows me away are the ports. The syrah port, is crazy good. The first few times I had a little, I enjoyed it but didn’t think it was special enough to buy. Told myself it’s too sweet, and I wouldn’t want anymore than just a tasting. One of my friends bought the port, and a few weeks later opened it when I was over. I had a small serving and it was good. Poured another, and tasted better! Between the 3 of us we killed the bottle. After that night, I was determined to come back again, and not without empty handed. On my last visit I was very happy to come back! It not only was the first time ever I bought a bottle from a winery(I bought 3), but I also signed up their wine club. I will continue to come back, and will be back with new friends and family. If you are in the area, you will not be disappointed !

Love this place and love the generous owner Edouard! We bought 3 bottles: port, petite sirah and the barbera. My picky husband really loved this place too and he does not like port but bought the one from here — amazing!

This has to be the best wine I have ever had. Completely got me into wines in the first place. For the reds I prefer Barbara, Merlot, and the Petit Sirah. I love all the deserts(Forgiveness, Raspberry wine and Apricot wine.
