We had higher hopes for this place. My friend ordered the minestrone soup. It had square carrots and peas that resembled frozen veggies. Not seasoned and kind of blah. He had homemade pasta with red sauce that was probably a 4 out of 5. My Chicken Marsala was probably a 4 as well. It would have been a 5 but I couldn’t cut the chicken with the knife on the table. They definitely need knives with a bit more serration. We also noticed there wasn’t any salt or pepper on the tables to aid the lack of seasoning. We had the flourless chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla gelato. It was a bit dried out and although I can’t say it was definitely the cake, the chef did take something out of the microwave just prior to us being served. That brings up the biggest disappointment. Service was next to none. We were sat by the hostess and moved to another table as music was coming to take that spot. The gentleman, who appeared to be the owner, took our order. I’m not even sure who our server was because we saw different people each time we interacted with someone. There were lots of sitting and waiting periods of time. Dinner was done and at least 10 min came and went, after the dishes were cleared, before we were even asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. After dessert is when we finally saw who our server must have been because that’s when we started seeing the same guy again. The food was ok, just nothing special. The service is what was lacking.

Fantastic Italian. We eat here once a week, and every time we go, the food is fab. Service is outstanding. The meatballs are the tops. Haven’t had anything bad to be quite honest. Truly worth a visit.

Romanticism is not dead! I strongly implore you to take a date, your mother, or the whole family here. The authentic Italian hospitality and knowledgeable and attentive staff will amaze you. The atmosphere and service is only half of what will make me a frequent and preferred patron here. What I really want to mention about this place is the food. The food is incredible. Gourmet isn’t a word I would use to justify this cuisine. It just wouldnt do the dishes justice and although the chefs are modest i couldnt help but feel they receive the praise I gave them everyday. From the appetizers down to the desserts it was all phenomenal. Best Chicken Picatta I’ve ever had. Bella.

We loved this little place! The ambiance was nice and our food terrific. We also had an absolutely fabulous server, Chelsey! Very patient with us when trying to pick the right red wine. Will definitely go back!

Just had lunch here and this was our first time. I had the grilled salmon and my mom had the chicken panini and both were excellent! But it was the«Custard de la Nona» with lime,(Grandmother cake) that was truly spectacular. Served warm, it was so delicious we just ordered two to go! Go on to purchase a $ 25 gift certificate for $ 10. But do it a day before you come, as it needs to be in the system 24 hours before you can use it. Service was great too… a tall, dark and handsome man with an Italian accent. Décor is well done and very comfortable and even the bathroom is gorgeous!

I recently got take out from Bellini Osteria and I will be back! The pasta was absolutely delicious. I got the vodka sauce with sausage in it and it was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. Homemade noodles are amazing here. I was disappointed in the Cesar salad, so next time I will skip that and go straight to the entrée! I also had crème brule for dessert and it was divine. What a wonderful place to have so close by, and it’s very posh inside. Next time I will eat there :)

I would definitely come back. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked. Tuna tartar was wonderful. My wife has the special pasta and loved it. Service was great. Wonderful ambiance. I wish we could have eaten outside… Next time.

Came here last week for our company Xmas lunch. Not my first time here, been here before because my friends family are the owners. Well anyways I recommended this place to my boss because the food is delicious. But now I’m so embarrassed I chose this place. The service was horrible. The waitress with the blonde hair had a snobby attitude she was really rude since the beginning just wasn’t polite at all. Made very little small talk. Most of the time she was just hanging out at the bar on her phone. She totally ruined our Xmas work lunch. Will definitely not be returning.

I have been coming to Bellini for years, since they first opened. Initially, I was ho hum about their food but enjoyed the ambiance, service and friendly people at the bar. I decided to give the food another try a few years ago and they won me over. Osso Bucco and Grilled Calamari are a few of my favorites. Management is awesome and always says Hello and makes sure that our experience is pleasant. I started taking my entire family recently and the service and attention to our needs is noticeably better than the other restaurants in the area.

Felt like I was back in Arezzo, Italy! Reminiscent of those authentic Italian meals, Bellini Osteria is where I will be going for my taste of Italy. Fresh homemade pasta, Veal Piccata served butterflied and not in the typical scalopine style. Fresh diver scallop truffle risotto with al dente asparagus. Everything buonissimo! Bravo al Cuoco! Lots if new restaurants opening up here in Westlake, but they are mere distractions and shiny objects of the moment. This place is a classic and precious gem! Our meal, second only to the company of the owner, John of Italy and to me, the epitome of Italian taste and style. Mille Grazie, sono gia pieno!

I love the atmosphere of this place. I sat outside on the patio and the service was great. The food was wonderful and the drinks were fun. The outside seating booths had a nice swade finish. The inside of the place looks extravagant with its marble finished bar! Its a gorgeous place with wonderful food, drink, and service.

Such a shame. Went here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Decent food for mass production. Great atmosphere in the lounge/dinner area. Even a decent wine selection. So why the single star? Simply because while sitting at the dinner table, with the entire wedding party in the room, some gentleman(I use the term lightly) with a ponytail decided it would be appropriate to do a sales pitch for a future event. Inexcusable. I alerted the host paying for the event. He walked up and Mr. Ponytail said something to the effect, «I’m sorry, I’m interrupting your event.». Mr. Ponytail continued the sales pitch after the host walked away. Rude. My wife stood up and told Mr. Ponytail’s visitors, «He’ll do this to you too.» Ponytail spent a total of 15 minutes pitching. His actions overshadow any positives this restaurant may have. We said our goodbyes and left. There was no reason to stay. Thankfully I’m out a minor bar bill. Small price to pay.

Wow, Happy Valentine’s Day! My SUPER-Special date and I went to Bellini’s last night(again) for an excellent Valentines day meal. We expected good service and good food, we got fabulous service and the best possible meals anywhere. The Valentine’s Day menu was not just two or three things, but a full-page loaded menu with so many dishes it was almost hard to choose. Somehow we managed. The house salad was fresh, flavorful, and nothing short of wonderful, plenty to share. Candied nuts, feta cheese, lots of other treats you would not expect in a house salad. The lobster stuffed squash was incredible. Flavorful, plentiful, so elegantly prepared and bite after bite just exploding with flavor. The surf and turf dinner was perfectly prepared. The lobster tail seemed almost too big and the filet mignon absolutely perfect, not a spot of fat, and just plain melt in your mouth delicious. Oh, and super smooth mashed potatoes complemented everything. And a nice shot of Limoncello was like dessert on the taste buds. Decorations? The entire place was full of Valentine balloons, ribbons, lights, everything to make the most romantic dining experience imaginable. We spoke to the owner, Joe, and told him how nice it was. His casual response? «Baby steps.» Thanks, Joe, for a spectacular Valentine’s Day outing!

Unexpectedly nice. Upscale yet casual, great dark lighting, expansive menu, and very nice patio! With a connected bar to the dining room, you can order drinks/appys and watch football, if you so desire. Dining on a Sunday night was easy-peasy to get seated immediately. The server was a rare breed of appropriate bother, smiles, and efficient — Rechelle. I like. 1. Dover Sole($ 25, special) — lightly breaded and pan-fried, it was absolutely perfect, couldn’t have been better — totally non-fishy! Served with a side of mixed squash and spinach, it’s a total winner and should be added to the regular menu.(5.0 stars) 2. Ravioli di Funghi($ 18) — 5 good sized, 3 bites worth each. Homemade ravioli with mushrooms, ricotta cheese in a butter sage sauce. Absolutely delish.(4.5 stars) It’s close to 5.0 stars, but not quite. Missed the buzz/atmosphere; mostly, families and older clientele. Maybe for Happy Hour? I’ll be back for sure, with meatballs on the agenda.

The atmosphere here is cute so good for date night or girls night out. My fiancé and I came here for a Redfin event(housing market event) and the food and drinks were hosted. We ordered three entrees(yes all three for the two of us cause we are fatties): 1. Mushroom Ravioli(18 $) 2. Butternut squash and shrimp Risotto(20 $) 3. Gnocchi with three cheese and ham(17 $) And a dessert: Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream(7 $) They were all pretty average; probably because we didn’t order the right dishes! I regret not ordering the Chicken Marsala with veggies and the New York Steak because when they walked out with those for our neighboring tables, i was drooling a puddle over at my table. If they tasted half as good as they look, that would be a win! The chocolate cake was nothing special to mention sadly. If we ever go back for those two entrees, I will update my review accordingly!

I kind of feel like Karen L in that I wanted to like this place much more. I mean it was good, but it wasn’t great… and I wanted it to be. The menu read like it was going to be amazing, but the kitchen wasn’t able to execute. Some aspects warranted 5 stars… 1. really comfortable chairs that were nice and cushiony… so many times, I sit in chairs that I hate… but here, they were divine. 2. in the Bellini salad, there were far more kalamata olives(my favorite kind) than I have EVER seen, along with generous dollops of goat cheese. Some were worth 4 stars… 1. sautéed spinach was flavorful 2. pizza had a really good thin crust. Nice flavor. 3. ample food portions 4. nice ambience 5. friendly wait staff Yet, there were other things that bothered me that knocked it to 3 stars… 1. iceberg lettuce in the salad… while I eat iceberg lettuce, I expected a higher quality from this restaurant. 2.(this should be 1 star worthy) mediocre Caesar salad dressing… not much flavor… same with the croutons. OMG… ICEBERG lettuce in a CAESAR salad??? That is thoroughly unconscionable. NOONESHOULDEVERDOTHAT… and especially NOTANITALIAN restaurant. Commmmmmmmme onnnnnnnnnnn. 3. the bread had way too many air bubbles, thus, no real substance. Plus, there was no garlic bread offering. It’s an Italian restaurant… how can there be no garlic bread? 4. disappointing lamb w/artichoke sauce entrée … no appreciable seasonings added to enhance the lamb. Roasted potatoes were a nice texture, but again, no real flavor. For $ 37, I expected much more. 5. very noisy when full. Dining room doesn’t absorb sound too well. Overall, it was good. Nothing was bad, but I definitely expected much more for the $ 109 we spent(incl. tip).

The Service: EXCELLENT! Our server, Gerardo is the best! He is so professional, super friendly. He is with the restaurant since day one. He knows the menu very well. All the staffs are very attentive, water is always filled, dirty plate are taken away the moment we finish last bite. The Food: Solgliola alla palermitana — Canadian sole, lightly breaded with fresh herbs, finished with lemon dressing. Sauteed vegetables. The fish is so fresh. Even it is breaded, it doesn’t taste oily at all. Margherita A delicious thin crust with tomato, mozzarella, basil and prosciutto. Very simple pizza dish but so delicious. The pizza dough is freshly made. The crust is thin and crispy at the edge. Just enough tomato sauce to taste the sweetness. The Parking: Private Parking Lot(FREE!!) Lots of parking space.
