I came back for overseas deployment with a weird rash that was going, very dry skin because of the heat. I was treated by Dr. Goos. He looked me over and gave me the medication needed with a follow up in a year. My skin is much better and my rash has almost cleared up. If you have a skin problem go there. Great staff too

I’ve had a number of appointments with the health care professionals at Westford Adult and Pediatric Dermatology. Each time I’ve visited the experience has been consistent; greeted by a kind staff member, attentive care providers, and excellent follow up. How many doctors do you know call their patients to check on them! The staff are thorough and truly committed to wellness. Unlike some doctor appointments I’ve had, I’ve never had to wait more than a 10 minutes to be seen. I appreciate that when I’ve had to take time out of work for an appointment. I definitely recommend Westford Adult & Pediatric Derm.

Went there to have some weird skin stuff looked at — I won’t give you the details, because I don’t want to give them, and you don’t want to hear them. Regardless, I don’t have anything wrong, and they were pretty nice, and understanding of a deranged hypochondriac like myself. I’ll go back there.

I have been a patient of A&P for about the last two and a half years and have always been incredibly happy with my service. The nurse practitioner I see is thorough, prompt and always so kind. Even though lots of time might pass between appointments, she always remembers key details about my life. The technicians make me feel secure about my treatment decisions and needs. I have never had any negative or disappointing experiences.

I called and scheduled an appointment to have some skin tags removed. It wasn’t until after I waited for my appointment, drove to the office, and filled out all the new patient paperwork that I was told that insurance no longer covers skin tag removal. Since my insurance is paid by my employer and only administered by an insurance company, I asked if they could call my insurance and verify that skin tags are not covered. The nurse told me they couldn’t because it would be a violation of HIPAA(which is a lie); when I questioned that reason, she continued that they would be on the phone all day if they called patients’ insurance companies to check their coverage. Funny-my previous dermatologist’s office did call my insurance before my visit to verify what was covered. It turned out that one of my skin tags was actually a wart so my insurance would cover that. It took the nurse all of 2 minutes to treat it, including the minute and a half it took her to find her liquid nitrogen. I spent a total of about 15 minutes between telling the medical assistant what was wrong and that I had no allergies, talking to both the medical assistant and the nurse about what was and wasn’t covered by insurance, and removing the wart. Even though nobody took a medical history from me or did anything else related to a new patient doctor’s visit, the office billed my insurance and me for a new patient office visit and the removal of a wart. Their bill was $ 441 for the removal of one wart. My coinsurance for the visit is $ 83 whereas at my previous dermatologist’s it was $ 32. When I called the office to discuss how ridiculous it is for them to charge $ 400 for 15 minutes with a medical assistant and a nurse, the billing person, Denise, told me that they had the right to charge for a new patient visit because I was a new patient and I had filled out new patient paperwork. Seriously? You can charge me more because I filled out your paperwork? Next time I’m not filling out the paperwork! I am upset that nobody told me in advance that my insurance would not cover skin tag removal even though I specified from the beginning that that was why I was coming in and gave them my insurance information. I am upset that the medical assistant and nurse spoke to me rudely. I am really upset that the nurse lied to me about it being a violation of HIPAA to ask my insurance if a procedure was covered. I am extremely upset that they charged over $ 400 for my visit simply because I was a new patient. And I am outraged at how rude the billing person was on the phone to me. I would NEVER go back to this office and would discourage everyone else from doing so as well.
