Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport

Few things are as pleasant as the sound of an F-​15 Eagle roaring down the runway. The great thing about Barnes is that you can enjoy that while eating a nice meal at the restaurant right on the airport.
Barnes is a joint civil/​military airport shared with the 104^th Fighter Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard. As part of the 104^th, the 131^st Fighter Squadron operates the F-​15C Eagle and is responsible for providing defense of the northeastern U.S. airspace.
This is a really nice airport that’s kept in great shape and is staffed by very competent and friendly controllers. The restaurant at the airport, called the Runway, is definitely worth checking out. It’s right next to the AirFlyte Executive Terminal, just behind the airport’s control tower. Fuel prices at AirFlyte are pretty good (they’re actually significantly better than the airport that I fly out of), which is always a plus.
