Just visited for the first time, for my sister’s 13 birthday. We had a group of twelve and the staff was amazing. The kids loved the hibachi and the hibachi chef was awesome! He interacted with everyone and cooked all the food to perfection! My sister was also very happy with their sushi. All in all a great experience!

My husband and I usually like to be at the bar. We had a great meal here a few months ago sitting at a table near the back of the restaurant. The sushi was tasteful and filling. The service was great considering the slight language barrier which was still not a problem. It was a bit chilly in the restaurant but we could deal with it. That would be my only down fall. Because I prefer to be warm while enjoying my dinner. Overall great experience.

Sushi is authentic and delicious. The staff are very friendly. When you go out for any sushi, expect it to be a little pricy.

Did the hibachi dinner with some friends today. Portion size was pretty big. It was tasty but I found it to be a bit pricey for this area. Didn’t try the sushi but a friend got some rolls and they looked delicious. Can’t say that I’ll go back anytime in the immediate future, but wasn’t disappointed with my meal either.

I just moved to Westfield and I’ve had sushi from numerous places in the Boston and the Worcester Area. First we had the cream cheese bites. I thought it was going to be crab rangoons but I guess that’s why they named them cream cheese bites lol it was legit cream cheese with a bit of crab. Still delicious tho because I love cream cheese! I then had the heaven roll and it was pretty good! I’m going to try a different specialty roll each time I come since I only live a few minutes away. I did ask for no avocado but she forgot. It’s ok tho it still tasted great! The roll was a bit smaller compared to other sushi places I’ve gone to. Other places seem to really pack the roll and I’m usually stuffed afterwards but theirs left me yearning for more. The waiter was pretty quick and very attentive as she asked my husband how his food was a few times. Maybe, because she thought he was cute ;) lol jk idk but he ordered the chicken hibachi which he devoured. But back to the waitstaff. It was nice to see that they worked together because we had multiple waitstaff/host maybe even the owner stop by our table. Our business felt very appreciated by then. Great atmosphere as well. I will be back!

This was our first time here. We were with a larger group. We were seated right on time and the water quickly got our drinks. Salads and soups were ordered but didn’t end up coming out until they were cooking our meal. Really not a big deal. They were very good though. We all ordered our meal and our cook Ben came out and dos a few tricks and all the kids loved it. The food that was prepared was very hot and tasted delicious. I got the Steak and Chicken. The steak was prepared perfectly and had a great taste. Chicken was perfect as well, very moist and has a very good flavor. We will defiantly be returning as a family in the very near future.

Staff is very pleasant and food is always very good. The waitresses frequently seem to put our order in wrong but always fix it… hence why I gave a 4.

Great sushi and friendly staff. Take out orders are always ready quickly within 10 – 20 minutes. Dine in is good too. Waitstaff are attentive and they are accommodating to people with food allergies.

The bartender on Saturday evenings is extremely rude and complained when we sat at the bar for drinks while we waited for our table and when a drink was made incorrectly she came and yelled at us for sending it back — my advice don’t send a drink back The rest of the night was awesome and the only reason I give 3 stars is because of Sam who made our night awesome afterwards!

Great place! Good sushi and eclectic selection. I always get a house salad at every sushi place, and this one has one of the best dressings around. Service can be a little slow, but usually because the place is packed.

I’d have to say– just so so. I was impressed by the menu which had pretty color pictures that showed the food choices. And the food that came out was equally as pretty. Service excellent. Prices reasonable. But the food– just so so. Not the best Edamame I’ve ever had. I’m used to sliding the beans out easily and these didn’t. I ended up having to break the shells to get the beans out. Problem with the beans or the cooking? I don’t know. I didn’t finish the seaweed salad because it seemed stringier than I am use to. Again, problem with the food or the prep? I don’t know. The spicy tuna roll and the king of sea roll were quite good. Not the best sushi I’ve had but not bad. Most likely would not go back just to eat there, but I would go if in the area again.

The food is good, I love the appetizer ikamaru(grilled squid)… Service is good, better then other asian restaurants I’ve been to. Inside décor is ok but they need to remodel the outside completely.

Have been here a number of times and it’s always very good. The hibachi is definitely something I recommended for a special occasion or just a fun night out. It’s great for all ages and even picky eaters. The guys that do the hibachi are all wicked friendly. Everyone speaks English really well. The sushi here is some of the best around. I recommend the spicy crab!

Decent food/sushi… However after spending 50 $ of takeout of an entrée, 2 appetizers and 3 rolls between 3 people I would expect to be full but I am not. Quantity/quality does not match the price.

Food is probably the best in Westfield. You have the option of hibachi or table seating. You can order the hibachi from the table seating as well so unless you are with a group I’d suggest that. The Hibachi side could use the same décor that the table side has. Overall a great place for dinner!

Disagree with those of you who say the sushi is awesome. Either you haven’t gotten out much or you haven’t had good sushi. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura — which is my go-to roll — and it was probably the worst I’ve had. Palatable, yes, but no flavor, and the shrimp tempura was soggy. The whole point is the crunch! I also ordered some other roll and it was flavorless and disappointing. The miso soup is heavy on the fish sauce, which some people really like. The edamame was good but also not hard to pull off. I ordered green tea and it arrived cold. After asking for them to warm it up it was hot, but my refills were not. And not reasonably priced, either.

Service was friendly… I had my meal to go but ate my salad there and it was lunch with 3 people total. Tempura was good but a bit greasy. Sushi was great and price reasonable.

Food is pretty good, but I can’t say the same about the service. The entire meal they are trying to rush you out of the restaurant, even when if it isn’t busy. As long as you can ignore the crappy/rude service then you will have a good time and a good meal.

Surprisingly good Japanese Steak House, Hibachi & Sushi Bar in Westfield, Massachusetts out along Highway 20 between Westfield and West Springfield. Sushi bars seem to have sprung up in every little town across the country, and Westfield is no exception. What separates K’s from many other small town Japanese restaurants is the fact that their food is extremely good! It was a chilly & rainy night so I went in search of some hot soup and hot tea, and I found this place sitting out along Main Street, across from a shopping plaza. The restaurant is divided into three distinct sections… the requisite seats at the sushi bar, some booths along the wall for intimate dining, and the separate room for the Hibachi chefs to dazzle the crowds with their spinning spatulas and flashy knife skills. I sat at the sushi bar and ordered a pot of green tea along with a cup of miso soup — the traditional broth made from bean paste, tofu, seaweed, and scallions. Both were served hot, and they were quite delicious. I tried a couple of their house specialty rolls including the Black Pepper Tuna roll which was spicy crab, seaweed salad, and cucumber slices inside with seared sliced peppered tuna and avocado on top with wasabi mayo. My other roll was their Crazy Roll which was spicy tuna, yellowtail, and salmon with tempura flake and avocado, wrapped with slices of mango, and topped with mango sauce and red tobiko. I also had two servings of sashimi — Striped Bass and Yellowtail Belly. The fish was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the chefs did a marvelous job plating the rolls and the sashimi in a very artistic way. 10 points for presentation from the Iron Chef judges!!! It helps to know just a few words of Japanese if you plan to frequent sushi bars. The basic«hello», «thank you», and«good bye» will really work wonders on your servers, and they immediately stop treating you like a dumb gringo. That’s just my opinion, and your mileage may vary… This is one of my go-to restaurants while in the area. I’ve never had a bad meal at K’s.
