Stayed in room 9 and woke up with about 13 bed bug bites, they were not apologetic in the slightest. Smells like most motels which you come to expect. Shower curtain was moldy and there was hair on the toilet when I first walked in. Also, the internet was so slow they might as well not have it. Skip this place.

Much has changed(for me at least) when I used to travel here for family visits in the fall for apple picking. I’ve no problem w/retro amenities and the like, I guess it was the overall«FEEL» and tiredness of age catching up on the building. You get what you pay for…

My thoughts on the Elm Motel mirror most of the other reviewers’ remarks. I’d save it for a last resort… it is clean, that’s a plus. But the bathroom sink faucet fixture wobbled like it was going to break any second. You had to hold down the lever for a while to get a good flush. Shampoo supplied was a single-use packet. No hair dryer. The room was quite small. The lock on the door was minimal. Not even a «do not disturb» hang tag. The A/C unit was so loud that we couldn’t sleep with it on so we sweated all night. We’re going back to the area soon but darned if I’ll stay there. Worth it to me to pay another $ 50 or whatever for a normal motel or hotel.

I’ve stayed at the Elm Motel a number of times. No, it’s not the Hilton, but it’s definitely adequate. Beds are good, it’s quiet. The green porcelain bathroom fixtures in our room were a bit alarming, but that’s no reason not to stay there and save some money. We stay here whenever we go to the Berkshires as it’s only one(very long) turnpike exit away.
