Plato’s Closet

I prefer this location over the one closest to my house in Reynoldsburg, but that’s honestly not saying a lot. They still don’t offer you a lot for your clothes regardless of the brand and how great of a condition they are in.
Still, I’ve found that the people here are friendlier than in Reynoldsburg and the store is a little bit neater but that’s about it.

Very little selection that does not change often. Whoever takes the clothes does not check them well because there are a lot of stained and damaged products. Prices also seem higher than other stores.

if I could give this location a negative rating, I would. do not go here! I haven’t been to this one in a couple years because I remember the last time I was there I had new tags on almost every single piece of clothing. hollister, express, forever xxi, rue21, American eagle etc. just clothes I lost the tags to or received as gifts but never wore. clearly still in style though and they didn’t buy a single thing! said they were too old and appeared ‘worn’ are you kidding? brand new never worn never washed items. so years later, (today) I call back hoping things had changed. guy answers the phone I ask if they are still accepting items especially new items with tags remaining because last time I didn’t have any luck. he explains to me that you have to be 18+ years, they hold your license and that it’s «worth a try». I said okay I just wanted to make sure you guys would consider these brands before I made the trek up there and he said very rudely «yeah I don’t know but it’s worth a try» and hangs up on me. like are you serious? THIS is the kind of customer service you get from plato’s closet. not to mention everything they DO have in the store is old, worn, faded and way more out of style than anything I’m bringing. honestly so annoyed I’m just going to dump my things off at goodwill. horrible. horrible! never again.

Horrible location. Just went in for the 2^nd and last time with a bag full of forever 21 clothes with tags on them and 4 pairs of hollister jeans in great condition and was told that they couldn’t purchase anything. Will not be going back especially after looking around at the horrible quality of things they did choose.

I don’t know why I sell to them, I always leave angry. This certain location always buys strange items from me. I had them buy all my Target & Kohl’s items, but rejected Nordstrom, Saks & Macy’s items that weren’t ever worn? I guess I’ll turn around and Poshmark them. This location proves why Poshmark is in business. Get it together Playtos.
Also they’ll say they only buy «in season», but reject luxury brands? That seems insane to me.

So… Plato’s Closet: some of their items are a bit over priced for a second hand shop. HOWEVER, the actual name brand items that my teen has to have: reasonable and gently used.
There are other locations I have been to that have a better selection but this location is closest to me.

Unbelievable! Stopped by the store in Westerville on Sunday at 10 30 to buy a dress I saw the day before! Shop did not open til 12 O0 but manager was there… I begged her to let me in to buy a dress in the window as I was leaving town and said I would pay cash!, she said she couldn’t… Yet another example of someone in a managerial position who cannot think outside the box… turns out I found the dress on eBay for half the price… and I will receive it before the holidays… So long Platos Closet…

Another rip off that makes you feel like crap after bringing in bags of clothes and they buy a handful if you are lucky at $ 2 – 3 a piece. At least at this location you don’t have to wait for hours, but you will still only leave having enough money for a cup of coffee if you are lucky. I don’t get how they are so picky when the items on the rack are so yucky and I am trying to sell new shoes and true religion jeans?!!
