Three Islands Clothing

I will preface this by saying that I actually know the guys who make these clothes, but that has nothing to do with this 5 star rating. Their clothes are colorful and fun and scream Summer! They have great tunics and sundresses for women and colorful shirts for men (if you know a man who is not afraid to wear bold patterns and bright colors) and great bathing suits that are much cooler than Vilebrequin. I love their kids clothes as well – cute dresses for my daughter and adorable shirts and bathing suits for my 9 year old son. I couldn’t disagree more with the other review – nothing that I or my husband or kids have ever worn and we have worn them a lot in the summer, have ever bled… they are pricey but they are comparable to other brands I have hanging in my closet. I originally bought their stuff at a trunk show and just recently saw they have a store in Watch Hill and Newport RI. So if you find yourself in one of these charming little towns, check them out. Their colors and patterns will just make you happy…

Okay so I want to start this review off by saying that I REALLY REALLY love their clothes! I think they’re super adorable and super flattering. I love the simple cotton dresses and the super cute prints. However, I think they’re a little delusional on their prices. $ 70 for a cotton dress that probably costs $ 10 to make, seriously? Believe it or not this is not my biggest gripe! My problem comes into play with their «sample sale». Not only did I buy some things from the sale but so did my sisters. I bought a dress and a beach cover up both of which are now yellowing. My sister bought a dress for her daughter and her daughter sweat in the dress and the dress bled onto her little girl’s skin. When she called to tell them about it they informed her that she was supposed to wash the dress in cold water before wearing it. Seriously? Nobody said anything about having to wash it before wearing. Either way clothing should not be bleeding like that. I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying anything from there for full price. Wait until it goes on sale at the end of the season that way if it doesn’t work out you’re not out a bunch of cash!
