Pier Cleaners Coin Op Laundromat

Been going here on and off a few years. They are cheaper than others in the area. So that’s good. Laundered shirts on a hanger much cheaper than «boxed shirts».
Didn’t like that they may not be able to get normal stains out on a jacket, had to sign a waiver. First time I ever did that. Strange I thought. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Again, cheapest around the Westerly area. Some others are waaay overpriced!

Do not go to this laundry matt! I was a loyal customer untill now. They not only managed to loose an entire set of queen size bedding and expensive jeans. Easily over a hundred dollars worth of stuff. They dont even seem to care, im especially upset because according to the they only did three loads of laundry that day. How do manage to screw up so badly and not seem to care. I would be fired in a heartbeat for a screw up like that. Either do your own laundry or avoid them at all cost. I have used this place for years and will never step back in the door. Unless its to pick up my missing stuff.

Moved recently to the area and picked this location since it was the closest. Bad choice. Ask for heavy starch on a hangar and I get shirts back that look like there is no starch at all. In addition the woman behind the counter is slow and makes you wait for a receipt until she unbuttons every shirt. I’m going somewhere else to find someone who can do my shirts better.

Having had a bad experience with another dry cleaner in Westerly, I went to Pier cleaners. I can’t believe there isn’t a cleaner in Westerly that knows how to dry clean. I brought in two pairs of slacks, a blouse and a silk sweater. The slacks were poorly pressed but the blouse looked like they took it from the washing machine to the hanger. The sweater was a $ 150.00 that came back with a hole and it also looked like it came from the machine to the hanger. When I brought it back, they said that that was the best they could do & couldn’t return my money; I would have to go to their main store in Wakefield. Ironically, I received a letter today thanking me for trying their service. I promptly called and they apologized and said to bring it back to be redone. I don’t think so!

Best laundromat in Westerly!
I visit the area every summer and always do my washing and drying at The Laundry Mat. Been coming here for probably about 10 years now and every summer it seems like a new, updated machine is added to the ranks. One year I came back and all the dryers were double pockets. A huge update considering you used to fight for dryer space. They even have huge 75 lb dryers that allow me to wash all of my beach blankets and towels at once.
For a laundromat in a beach side town, you won’t get much cleaner. Don’t know how many times I’ve been in there and seen the owner or one of his workers cleaning machines, emptying garbage, or sweeping then floor. Very nice people too! Sand that is there when I put my clothes in the washer is usually gone by the time I have them dry.
Can’t wait to come back next summer!

I do my laundry here every week. The place is consistently clean and while the owner is not there ²⁴⁄₇ either he or his family is in and out regularly. The owner will address any problem that a customer has and makes sure the customer is happy. I’m not sure when Josh was in but his review is inaccurate with what I see each week.

I almost didn’t come to this laundry mat because of the one review, since the review was so bad. But my experience was nothing like the other person’s experience. It was clean, there were people working there, and everything went smoothly. So maybe the experience in the summer when they get a lot of business is different from the off season? Or maybe they’ve just improved.
