So delicious! I can recommend the spicy pad thai and I can’t wait to try everything else. Also if you’re vegan or vegetarian, Corner Thai is always willing to accommodate this with no problem. As a plus, all the employees are super welcoming. I’d definitely recommend.

Excellent Gang Luang and Pad Thai, attentive owner, reasonable prices. I highly recommend this little restaurant. As another reviewer has stated, don’t be put off that it’s in a little strip mall.

Westerly has some great Thai food and Corner is definitely one of the best. Pickup or Dine-In, this place is always a good choice when in the area. I’ll admit I’m a bit preferential to Thong Thai down the street, but we do switch off between the two of these locations on a regular basis.

I absolutely love the Pad Cha Duck. It is my go to meal. It’s half a duck fried and then simmered in a delicious sauce. There’s baby corn, red and green bell peppers, onions, basil, bay leaves, lemon grass, carrots, green beans and even a strand of fresh peppercorns(I had to google what it was). The duck does not seem gamey or fatty. It’s served over white rice. The waitress, Anne, is such a hard worker but makes time to chat with us when ever we eat in. During the summer months the out door seating is prime! So the Pad Cha Duck and Chicken Fiery Pad Thai along with the Roti and Crispy Spring Roll appetizers is a perfect size for 3 or 4. It’s just about under $ 50 which is totally worth it. This is not express dining. It’s home cooked food. Great quality. Flavor explosion in your mouth. Seriously.

I’m a big fan of this restaurant. The food is great and the service is so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a little shopping plaza off of Route 1A and there is limited seating. Some of the dishes have a lot of heat to them, so if you don’t like spicy food you may want to ask them about preparing the dish with mild spices. I would highly recommend the soups as well as the rice noodles. Pricing is very reasonable given the portions and quality.

I went here for dinner recently after being ignored for 26 at the newest noodle place in town. We were sat right away and the customer service was phenomenal. We ordered an appetizer sampler and I had drunken noodles, and everything was very tasty and delicious. I will continue to come here whenever I get the craving for delicious Thai food. Thank you very much for saving our night and for having the best Thai food I’ve had in the area!

Excellent Thai! Authentic so while ordering you may want to double check. For example, drunken noodle everywhere else it is wide noodle and a thicker brown sauce. Not here! Glass noodles and the sauce is there but not heavy at all. The dish is light and delicious! Everything is honestly. Most dishes are very spicy but if that is not for you just ask for no spice or light and they will be happy to make it to your liking.

We were driving around, my friend and I. We hadn’t seen each other in a while. Of course it’s off season so between Charlestown and Westerly a good amount of restaurants are closed. We drove by Corner Thai Café and even though I didn’t see the sign for it, my friend spotted it and mentioned if we didn’t find something soon we’d go back and eat there. 10 minutes later we drive into the strange plaza/strip mall and find it tucked into a corner where if we didn’t see the lit open sign we’d have driven off. It’s a tiny place with a handful of tables, definitely unpretentious yet clean and a little bit whimsical with Thai cultural touches. We could tell it’s a family business as we were greeted by an elderly Thai Lady who didn’t speak English but referred to a little girl who could have been her granddaughter as to where we could sit. A woman who could have been the girl’s Mother came out and asked for our drink order. I asked if the Thai Tea was Green Tea and was told no it was orange. I wasn’t brave enough to try it. Maybe another time. We talked and caught up and looked at the menu, taking our time. Barely anyone else was there at 6pm on a Wednesday night. As an appetizer my friend ordered Crab Cheese — Crispy wanton with cheese, crab meat and onion served with orange sauce $ 4.95 which reminded me of Crab Rangoon but folded more elaborately and was accompanied by a sauce that could have been duck sauce or plum sauce, sweet and sour. My friend ordered Teriyaki Salmon — Grilled Salmon topped with sauteed Thai teriyaki sauce and onion served over a bed of broccoli, cabbage and carrot. $ 14.95 The filet was fat and red and covered in Teriyaki, a beautiful piece of fish. A side of white rice came on the side. I ordered Gai Grob — Crispy chicken sauteed in a pineapple sauce with onion served over a bed of cabbage, carrot and broccoli $ 11.95 which I’ve never had before and it didn’t disappoint. The chicken pieces were flattened and breaded and deep fried, covered in the pineapple sauce and presented over the vegetables which were crispy crunchy cooked except for the onions. The onions weren’t cooked much longer but long enough to take the zing out of the rawness of white onions. It was a satisfying sweet and tangy dish, not spicy hot at all. Even though we both were stuffed we ordered the Mango Rice dessert — Sticky rice with coconut milk and mango. I’d never tried the simple dish before and it was refreshing as well as not too sweet yet rich enough to be sinful. What luck that we found this place! Everyone there was happy. The atmosphere was laid back and the food was wonderful. I know I’ll be coming back here in the future. For the incomplete menu(it doesn’t include the desserts nor drinks,) go to:

Can’t say enough about this little place. Family owned, small, quiet, and the Tom Yum is ridiculously good. Have never had anything that disappointed me, have been 4 or 5 times over the last year. Don’t be snobby about the locale — strip malls can sometimes harbor amazing food finds.

Went for a second time and took my wife. She’d never had Thai before, but absolutely loved it… Especially the salad which I ordered for my dinner, but she ended up eating. She enjoyed her shrimp pad tai too. Even the next day leftovers. Owners were exceptionally nice. Going back soon! Very healthy.

If you like authentic Thai food and generous portions all at a good price than you’ll love Corner Thai Café. If you prefer super fast service, Corner Thai Café won’t be your favorite place to sit down and eat. If this is the case, I definitely recommend getting take out. Honestly the waitstaff is very friendly, they just don’t take things very fast. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. They offer takeout for people in a rush. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and it can be refreshing if you don’t have anywhere to be. I always get the Pat Thai with chicken… Not spicy. It’s definitely the best pad Thai I’ve had in Rhode Island. Their crab cheese is also delicious. You can tell that they’re fresh. Moral of the review is that if you’re craving good Thai food and you’re in Westerly, check out Corner Thai!

Cute décor, BYOB, friendly server. The downside is the service was painfully slow with almost no one there and the food was just ok. We waited forever just to get menus and water. We almost left to go somewhere else. I got the beef pad thai and chicken sate. I did not like the beef in the pad thai and something about the chicken was not great for me. I would give it another try though.

I spend a lot of time working in Asia, so I don’t like local Asian foot. It is not authentic enough for me, usually. I went into the this restaurant and asked for Som Tom. The owner was surprised when i ordered in Thai. I was surprised when I tasted the food. It is real Thai! This is a small restaurant that is owned by a very nice Thai lady. She tries very hard to keep the food authentic, even though Thai ingredients are hard to find here in the winter. Her business is an asset to the local community. I urge everyone to go to her restaurant and order Som Tom or Kao Pad Poo. You will love it. And, when she asks where you learned the Thai, just say Ray told me.

The pineapple fried rice was good. Opted for the chicken, which had meaty pieces of chicken, not slithers like some places. Also contained pineapple, nuts, raisins, onion. Generous portion for the money($ 10.95 dinner) The Grilled Combo was also good. Came with chicken, pork, beef and shrimp. One kebab had peppers and pineapple. The beef was a little tough, would try to get that replaced with another shrimp, etc. two sauces accompanied the plate, a spicy lime sauce and a BBQ sauce for the pork. I requested soy and peanut sauces and they were happy to do so. Peanut sauce better with chicken.($ 15.95) The Thai iced tea was very good.($ 2.50) The owner was kind enough to offer us a pumpkin custard for dessert, which we declined. Sounded good, but had enough food.
