So this is the first time I’ve ever had to use a real estate agent as my fiancé and I decided to buy a house. It seemed like the right time to jump in and we had been thinking about it for awhile. Jeffrey came recommended through close friends as he had helped them buy their home. We had met him the day our friends closed and he came by to give them their keys. Many months later, he became our agent. We had heard many a horror story about agents; particularly in the realm of not being able to reach them. I can attest to this as I helped with designing a website for one. You would think it would be in the agent’s best interest to call you back regarding properties of interest or anything that would be moving their business forward. Jeffrey does not have that problem. He usually called us or replied to e-mails within a day or less. When setting viewing appointments, he worked the best he could to accommodate both of our schedules: which meant multiple showings for the same properties. In terms of finding listings, I’d have to say I’m on the obsessive-compulsive end so I was able to locate listings a bit faster than Jeffrey as I was constantly searching multiple sites(Redfin and Ziprealty are the best IMHO). This has its pros and cons. I also was looking at properties that we wouldn’t necessarily have considered. Jeffrey will make it a point to understand your wants in a home and tries to get you to focus on that. We had quite a few discussions on the topic of what is ideal versus what would be a compromise. Once we were all on the same page, things really got moving. As a realtor, where Jeffrey shines really is in helping you to understand the process, communicating(he always kept us in the loop of negotiations) and watching out for your best interests. He makes it a point to help you get what you really want out of a home and, with him, we found it. No settling, no compromises– just everything we had given him on our wish list and, surprisingly, a bit more.
