Branches Winery

We had a wonderful time and we’re delighted that we could get some great wine and pizza. We found excellent reds and whites. Dry and full of flavor. The staff was knowledgeable and when we told them we were not fans of sweet or fruity, they guided us to some options. Left with a case of 3 styles. We will be back soon!

The wines are typical Wisconsin made, which means way too sweet and fruity. Luckily, Branches has beer. Don’t expect a varied menu; the cheese and sausage appetizer plate could have been put together in a grocery deli. The pizzas are very good, unless you get sausage, which isn’t, but only two at a time can be cooked, so it’s about 15 minutes between when people are getting their meal. That’s it for food offerings.
The place was packed the night I went and it was near impossible to get the attention of a server. We ordered an appetizer, but before we could order beverages, our server took off. The same thing happened when we got glasses for tastings. The glasses were placed in front of us, then the server left to help someone else. We finally got someone to pour a tasting, but couldn’t get their attention for the second tasting. We ordered beer just to have a full glass of something. Did I mention (after we asked for it) we were given plastic water glasses for the four of us and a pitcher of ice water that filled two of the glasses.
Branches has potential and, maybe in a year or two, will develop into the kind of place you can come to, taste wine, and have a relaxing time.

What a great idea… Local winery with a small appetizer menu. Just enough to satisfy most appetites. Oh did I mention wood-​fired pizzas? Yea buddy! Couple that with a great selection of wines grown right here! The owners have a passion and genuine care for their customers and the products they served.
Stop here with your significant other or a group. Plenty of room and lots of sun! Prost to a great experience!
