Zero stars for Tub Guru. I only gave one so I could post my review. A two-​day bathtub replacement job turned into 31 days with no shower and a portapotty in my backyard. The GC never came to the house after the quote, the trades were not coordinated well, many days’ gap when no one came to the house at all. Communication was poor to trades and to homeowner — jobs had to be redone a few times. It was a disaster. To get anything done it was like pulling teeth. Awful awful awful.

Chris is the most knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly guy in the area for tub refinishing. He knows his stuff, and is super friendly and communicative, and will not lead you astray. A friend of mine got his tub refinished by Chris and raves about his work.
For full disclosure, I actually didn’t end up using his services since he cannot change the color of the tub (he refinishes, doesn’t reglaze/​repaint), but he was willing to speak with me for a total of about 15 minutes (on two occasions, the second of which was a total mistake of mine accidentally calling the same place again) over the phone to give me advice and lead me in the right direction. His quote was very fair relative to the 4 other quotes I received for the work.
This is very rare for a business owner to not only field your phone calls and do the actual work himself, but to devote so much time to speaking with someone he already realized wouldn’t be his customer, giving friendly and valuable advice. Highly recommended for those who need a surface refinished (but not re-​colored).

Hired Tub Guru to refinish an old cast iron tub in a recently remodeled bathroom rather than install a new one. Chris was prompt and professional and the finished product is fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Chris and his company again. No chemicals just some hard work and expertise and our tub looks like it probably did 80 years ago.

I hired this company to fix a small crack in the bottom of my tub. Chris showed up on time on the day of the appointment, fixed the crack, cleaned and polished the tub without using any harsh chemicals or painting it over. He even cleaned our bathroom sink for free! My tub looks almost like a brand new tub. If you have a heavily used tub and were thinking about buying a new one, I suggest to give the Tub Guru a try to refinish your tub.
