When I visit West Yellowstone I usually stop to dine in at Beartooth BBQ. This year, I had a special family gathering that I needed a delicious meal to be catered in at my cabin north of town. I ordered several days ahead of time and I appreciate Josh and Eric helping me order the right amounts of food for 15 people. The pulled pork, Brisket and ribs were great and had the perfect smokey flavor. We had both choices of BBQ sauce, regular and spicy, both were good and I heard lots of compliments from my guests. The beans, mixed salad and corn bread completed the meal. I did order cole slaw which was not as tasty and we ended up with a lot of that side left over. Overall, the meal was exactly what we were hoping and the restaurant team made my event a success. Thank you Beartooth BBQ!

Me and my wife eat here about once a year. We have never been disappointed. The hot links are great. The brisket is tender(I recommend getting it sliced), my wife’s favorite is the pulled pork, and the ribs at amazing. I love that they are all dry rubbed, giving you the option of using the spicy or mild sauce, or none, or both. They have a great bear selection too. Attentive and friendly staff, and a clean casual atmosphere. Just damn good!

Food was good. Had the beef brisket, ribs and smoked sausage, meat was tender and sausage was just the right amount of smokiness in it. We were curios about the cheese fries from a picture on one of the reviews and ordered it as well… it was good but just too big for a party of 4. I would say all in all, its a good place if you are craving for bbq. Decent place and service was good.

Our party of 8 ate here. It was the fattiest beef we’ve ever had. Hubby had the mad dog which was greasy and fatty. I had sliced beef brisket sandwich. I asked the waitress before ordering if it was lean meat which she said yes. It was full of fatty pieces and the grease soaked the bun. So nasty. The baked beans were a little spicy. I added ketchup to mine which made it better. The others ordered chicken, pulled pork, rib and other sides. They said pulled pork was the best part of the meal and they did not care for the rest. Yucky potato salad and cole slaw. I would have rather had the corn dog from my daughter’s meal. The prices were too high for everything. Very disappointed. We felt our server had a bad attitude as well. Spent too much money on less than ok food. Go to Dairy Queen across the street.

It is a good restro. We loved their food — 2 pulled chicken burger with fries, baked beans and pickles with cokes($ 26.72). Liked their rustic ambience and friendly waitress. For us baked beans was way too sweet but their homemade bbq sauce was great !

Food was a bit overpriced for the portion size. Also growing up in the Midwest I have had my fair share of BBQ. The meat was good very tinder and well cooked but the actual BBQ sauce was a little mediocre. Sides were nothing special either(cheesy grits and potato salad) Positives were that the wait staff was very friendly and helpful on giving suggestions. Also they had a pretty extensive list of local beers.

Good place to check out! Great beer selection. Ordered burnt ends brisket and they catered to this very well! Was a bit dry(which is the risk w this order) but some of the pieces were great. Cooked very well. Only downside was it was strange to sit at the bar. There is a half wall right in front of you with prep area behind it. Strange feel.

Had dinner here when I was in West Yellowstone. I had the sliced beef brisket with sides of baked beans and cheese grits. Service was extremely quick and I received the entire meal in about 5 minutes. The brisket was cooked well but the grits were a bit strange and potato-like.

Just went there for dinner and I must say I was Impressed. I ordered the beef brisket with bbq beans and potato salad. The brisket was very tender, flavorful, and not dry. The portions were also hearty. Service was good as well. If I had to pick a one negative it would be that it’s a bit pricey. All in all I would recommend if in West Yellowstone, MT.

Decent food and good service, but definitely nothing to write home about. We had the chicken sandwich and pulled brisket. The jalepeno poppers with huckleberry sauce were interesting, but I’m not as crazy about all things huckleberry as everyone else seems to be. I found the cheese grits to be super bland, couldn’t eat them. This was also my first time trying grits, so maybe that’s how it is? I don’t know.

Service was fast and good! Food was very tasty. Both of us couples shared the two meat combo with two sides. Hubby and I had BBQ brisket and pulled pork with homemade BBQ potato chips and cheesy grits. Grits were okay, everything else was delicious! Plenty for both of us, we came out satisfied but not stuffed. Our friends had the brisket and smoked sausage with cheesy grits and tabouli(they said it actually did go well with BBQ as menu said).

Quick service and decent BBQ. Brisket was moist and flavorful and the chicken was spot on. The chicken sandwich was also very good. Had fries and potato salad which were good also. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Good enough to recommend to some nice ladies looking for some good grub who asked us as we walked out.

I was not expecting a good BBQ place while visiting Yellowstone, but this place didn’t disappoint. Beef brisket was soso, sausage was good and pork ribs was delicious. The server, if I remember correctly, whose name is Michael, is supper friendly, which makes my experience really unforgettable.

The food was good but the portion sizes are small for the price we paid. If the price was lower or size of portion was bigger could get better review.

We wanted to try out the Taco Bus but sign said Closed, so we ended up at Beartooth Barbecue. B. got a beer Cold Smoke Scotch Ale $ 4.5 — he liked it Cobb Salad — he thought not enough salad, too much meat! I got pulled pork sandwich w/side of cheese grits. It was dry rubbed meat so had to drown the hot bbq sauce all over it, then it tasted ok. Cheese grits was ok, not enough cheese for me. St. Lou Ribs ½ $ 18.99 — H. got & didn’t really like, she had to drown in bbq sauce too. sliced brisket sandwich $ 11.99 didn’t look that good either. raspberry iced tea $ 2.49 ea x 2 Total before tip $ 69.46. Charge it. Place got busy so others like it more than we did.
