I used MCD in the past to repair my RV and I’ve purchased many items at their store located on Rte. 28 in Yarmouth, so I was a good customer. I had an actual appointment scheduled to fire up my furnace and they called me AFTER the appointment to say they could not make it, which was annoying yes but hey nobody’s perfect. I was then told that they would not be able to appear until AFTER the holidays so I waited until after the New Years and gave them a call to reschedule. I spoke with Deborah, who obviously could have cared less that the heater in my RV was not working… it’s JANUARY and it needs heat! So, believe it or not after they blew me off once and I patiently waited for about one month for them to return from vacation, she told me that«Deric does not work in the cold weather». Yeah, it’s cold out, that’s why I need heat! I’m in the construction business, we work YEARROUND here on Cape Cod. Basically, after all this Deborah told me to get someone else and was completely indifferent with respect to the fact that a good customer needed their help and had waited patiently to accommodate their schedule. She made two alternative recommendations; one of them does not do service work and the other is a drunk and does not know how to return phone calls. So, here we are with no heat other than electric space heaters once again after all this. I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDMCDRVCENTERATALL. If this is how they treat their good customers I can’t imagine how they’d treat others.

My wife and I were visiting Cape Cod and wanted something different than a typical home rental for the week with our kids. We decided to look into camping, but didn’t want to risk the weather and haul all of our gear. No problem! From a local campground, we found out MCD rented campers and even delivered them to the campgrounds! We arrived on our planned day, and the camper was already there, fully assembled, leveled and hooked up to water, electric and sewer lines. All we had to do was«move in» and set up our campfire for the night. The best thing was that their camper was a brand new, 2011 model and was in pristine condition. Full-size fridge, stovetop, oven, sink, microwave and even a TV — I have to admit we were definitely not«roughing it» this trip. MCD rents new units each season and sell them in the fall, so they are always virtually new. Not only were we happy, I have two major shout outs to MCD for outstanding customer service… First, there was a booking confusion which meant our full size camper was double-booked for the final night, but MCD not only brought a replacement one, swapped it and set it up for our final night, but they credited us for our trouble and gave us a free night. Later, they realized the model they had to use in a pinch for the one-night replacement wasn’t a newer one, so they gave us an additional credit. Both times, they asked if this would be an acceptable solution for our trouble. Now I wasn’t looking to chisel any discounts out of them, but their offer was proof they are all about customer service. We will DEFINITELY rent from MCD again, since they were great to work with and the camping experience added a whole new dimension of fun to our trip with the kids.
