I was craving a good Italian salad and looked at the online menu. Pepperoni, red onions on a house salad sounded perfect! I get the salad(take-out) and it’s missing the red onion and missing the pepperoni! I also got the over baked lasagna, which was drowning in their sauce. It was very average. About the only good thing was the bread. Then to top it off, I was overcharged, unless their online menu isn’t updated, who knows? I won’t be going back for over-price mediocrity. Olive Garden beats this place.

I’ve been a few times after my initial review on 12÷27÷11 and I’ve had some good sandwiches(the most recent being a chicken caesar wrap) so I’ll bump my rating up a bit. I wish they would replace their chip selection with Lay’s or Dirty Chips though because they’re pretty bad(Block & Barrel) and only give you a paltry 1oz in the bag. Darn it, I want at least 1.5oz!

I’m not sure if this is worthy of 1 star… But 5 meals out of 8 were delicious… The other 3 were … A chicken dish ordered with vegetables was brought with pasta. A steak tip Gorgonzola dish came with five pieces of steak that were smaller than a thumbnail.(When we complained about the lack of steak we were offered a deal of 10.00 instead of 18.00 — because that’s good customer service right??) Another steak dish came out with steak so tough that is was inedible . Terrible! At least three other tables complained while we waited FOREVER for apps, meals, check, etc. One table actually got up and left because they waited 23 minutes to order. Although some meals were good, this place is not worth the hit or miss food, the WAIT or the headache! Try somewhere else! I will never return! And another table just sent their food back!

Great stuff. Fresh, always made to order — I have only gotten lunch here and must say, I have not been disappointed. Every time I have gotten lunch there it has been terrific. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a place that I overlook because of its location but each time I remember it I am VERY happy that I did. Salads are super-fresh and the wraps have been delicious.

Pinelli’s is a great spot for some good ol’ italian cuisine. The portions are huge, the menu varied, and BYOB is a nice perk! The restaurant is a bit tight, so be ready for some lengthy wait times on Friday/Saturday nights.

Hadn’t been into Pinelli’s in years and wondered what it would be like now. We were not disappointed, they still had the sautéed mushroom app except it was on the menu and not just a special. It was a little different than years ago, a little more refined but still so good and great for using up the extra bread, if you know what I mean? ! We had dinner — a couple of old standbys-chicken parm and chicken marsala they were both very good with enough leftover for lunch the day after. Glad we stopped in again, will definitely be going back.

So, Pinelli’s isn’t as great as I thought it would be. I went in to grab lunch for my boyfriend and I, getting a salad for me and a chicken cutlet grinder for him. simple enough order. So I get back with the food and when he opened the container it was just a big ol piece of chicken by itself. I had to go all the way back and ask for the rest of the sandwich you know like the roll, lettuce and mayo that I had originally ordered in the first place. Went back another time for dinner and the portions were big but the food was just ehhhhh. It took ages to get seated and its BYOB which I think its lame. I would never go back here.

Okay, this is not something you get back home(meaning any place south of the Mason Dixon line). I guess it may be common place up here, which makes me kind of jealous. But for the time the family and I are here, I am glad to partake. So I have been here a couple a few times in the past and had their sandwiches which were always top notch(Meatball, Chicken Parm and Italian). This past trip though I noticed an item behind the glass. So I am sure to the locals, this is just funny to see a person ‘discover’ a new dish, but there it was. It was all beautiful, and round, glistening with a bright red sauce and colorful melted cheesed. I had no idea what I was looking at, but I wanted it, bad and right now. So when it was time ti order, I said I want that… and pointed as we sophisticated people do. Of course I had not accounted for the other 20 items behind the glass so when the to gent looked a little perplexed, I had to sheepishly say, «the rolled stuffed thing on the platter…» He laughed and said it was an eggplant Rollentine. I of course had never heard of such a thing. So off to the trusty Internet while I was waiting. His did not look like anything on line. Whew, his was special. Anyway, you can take this for what it is worth coming from a guy from the south(but I have traveled quite a bit in Italy), this thing was amazing. It was one of the top three Italian dishes I have ever had. I could probably eat one every other week but will resign myself to monthly just to make sure I do not grow tired of this manna form heaven. I will not be able to say enough. So to the other tourists /transplants. It is thinly sliced eggplant lightly battered and lightly fried, then loads of ricotta, mozzarella Basel spinach(I think) are loaded it and rolled. Then baked under more sauce and cheese. This does not sound that good I am sure but you are going to have to trust me, it is worth the trip.

Speaking for their dinners only, all I have to say is YUM! Huge portions, great high-quality food and friendly service. Their Veal Pizziola was straight up delicious. Similar to chicken cacciatore(but better), this was the best veal dish I’ve ever had… really. And it came with some seriously tasty mashed potatoes. Chicken parm was giant, I couldn’t even finish half of it. Sauce was perfect but a little on the sweeter side, which I like. The portions were huge and the food reminded me of something my Italian grandmother would have cooked for me. Oh and… BYOB!

My wife and I have visited at night and I decided to have lunch there while my car was being repaired. I ordered a non complicated ham and cheese sandwich, and asked for mayo instead of honey mustard. Sandwich arrived with honey mustard-which if I sent back would be discarded. I requested and received a side of mayo. During my entire stay in the deli, NOONEEVERINQUIREDIFMYFOODWASOK. First and last time I will be in for lunch. Overall, food was OK, service was nonexistent.
