5 stars for beer! The brew is as good as you will find anywhere!
So, 5 stars on the beer alone… the food just happens to be damn good in its own right.
I had the bison burger one night and the pork ribs another.
The bison burger was real tasty… a few basic options for the burgers, but each are cooked as you want (yup, you can get red and juicy)
The pork ribs were some of the «tenderest» country style pork ribs I’ve had anywhere… must have done some real good low and slow cooking. The fat on the ribs had a nice crunch… next time though I will be sure to order the sauce on the side. The sauce was flavorful and sweet and complemented the ribs, but, the sauce detracted from the crispy texture. The interior meet was most tender and would have done well with dipping into the sauce, while the exterior of the rib would have been better without sauce.
Wish it was in Leesburg. Slippery Rock is too remote for many people to enjoy this place.

Now I’ll start by saying that their selection won’t blow you away, if you want to browse for a while there are other places. That being said Northern Traders always has what I am looking for. They carry a fine selection of micros, crafts, and all the local stuff. Their prices on my 2 favorite breweries (Straub and Troeggs) are in contention for the best in the area. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s a mom and pop joint with the friendliest staff around.
