La-Z-Boy Showcase

After twelve years, my La-​Z boy recliner was is sad shape. The rocking and recline feature still worked, but the fabric was shot. Off I went to buy another. Stopped at three locations and than stopped at La-​Z-​Boy showroom in West Springfield. The other locations had negatives such as higher prices, pressure from sales people and their recliners required a lot of pressure on the foot rest to make the chair move from a reclining position to a seated one. At La-​Z-​Boy showroom I found the smooth motion that I had in my old chair. With only using the side lever, the chair moved smoothly from reclined to a rocking chair again. The price was about $ 150 to $ 175 less than the other stores, but my chair was on sale. I guess Jan. and Feb. are great months to buy furniture, who knew, not me. A sales person greeted me at La-​Z-​Boy and than left me to look around. No pressure. I asked if I could take the chair that day and was told the back came off to make it easy to transport. A young guy brought it to my SUV and off I went. Parking out front is tight. Only about seven spots, but not a real hassle. Overall, I can’t think of one negative about this store. I hope they are in business in ten or twelve years from now when this recliner needs to be replaced.

My wife and I stopped into the store yesterday to look at recliners. We were looking for a chair that is solidly constructed and made in the USA. Upon our arrival, we headed down to the lower level to first see if there might be any bargains to be found. I noticed that the store’s public restrooms were down in the lower level. I must comment that the bathrooms were the filthiest, most disgusting bathrooms that I have ever seen in my entire life. The sink was literally black with grime, there was no soap, and there is some sort of drip basin that is part of the ancient plumbing. I am surprised that this bathroom did not give me nightmares last night. After seeing (and using) that bathroom, we left the store. If everything else in this store is wonderful, those bathrooms send a message that could not possibly be more negative. Customers deserve better. Much better. Based upon my experience with their bathroom, I would not make a purchase in this store.

Hands down the best furniture at the most reasonable prices. You won’t find more solidly-​constructed rocker-​recliners at any other furniture joint in the area. Now that we finally have our chair, my nursing wife could not be happier or more comfortable with our 4-​day old son in her arms in our chair. I would post a pic, but I think that’s inappropriate. I had some bumps during my purchase including an extra week of waiting and then receiving the incorrect chair due to warehouse worker error, but the owner, Kevin, more than made up for it. Shop everywhere else, then come here. It’s well worth it. Then go to the Donut Dip next door — delicious.
