Randomly stopped at this diner and discovered the best lobster roll and burgers ever! Service was great.

This restaurant is not even worth the star. By far the worst experience, everything seemed fine till we started ordering. The cups of coffee we received was dirty on the outside and the coffee was old so I decided to order juice, in which there was hair in it. When receiving the food the plates were not clean, it had barbeque and all I did was order a cheeseburger with fries… I can go on but cutting it short.

My wife and I stopped in to the walk up take out window for a quick sundae before a movie. There was a guy in front of us waiting. The sundae area was filthy! I’m mean, really dirty! Open boxes of ice cream, sitting on the counter, used vinyl gloves on the counter, the floor was badly in need of at least sweep. Anyway, we waited a bit for the 1 young woman who was working the sundae bar to also come and take our order for a good 5 – 10 minutes. The guy in front of us asks where the food he had ordered an hour ago is? The girl runs and grabs it, the guys says it’s totally cold, he send it back asks for fresh food. Then after the girl takes our order(she was very nice don;t get me wrong) she goes back to the bar for a minute to make some other peoples’ sundaes for a couple of minutes. Then she’s back at the register fiddling around on it and with some swipe card for while. All the while, waitresses are storming back to make their own sundaes and complaining about the manager and how this is the worst day ever etc. Did I mention there was one girl working the sundae bar at 7pm on a Saturday at an ice cream place? The place was pretty busy, but they looked pretty well staffed. I saw at least 10 – 12 people running around, but not looking like they had any plan or organization! One waitress comes back, I ask her if she’s having a tough day, and she goes off on the ineptitude of the manager. Now, I’ve seen who I can only assume is the manager due to him not being in the regular uniform, come out back a couple of times, talk to some people then disappear again. HE seemed totally disinterested in doing anything to actually help out. Anyway, the foo the guy had sent back now came back up. He had left to take ride around the block or whatever, and the girl who had brought it back up gets pretty perturbed that he’s gone and storms off with his food! I finally asked somebody if we had any chance of getting our two sundaes soon so we wouldn’t miss our movie. The girl apologized again, made our sundaes, and we left. That was without a doubt the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Friendly’s in 40 years! Everybody seemed totally frantic, mismanaged, stressed out, unhappy and disgruntled. Friendly’s Corporate needs to take look at this one and maybe hire a manager who knows how to lead by example and actually take some pride in what his restaurant looks like, put some effort into creating a game plan for his people and maybe stepping in and helping out when it looks like his staff is in the weeds. It was rough.

Portion sizes on the small side. Not much value. Plus where I was seated there was a panel missing from the drop ceiling which caused cold air to blow on me and my food the whole time. Food tasted good but like I said, not enough for the money.

Worst display of terrible service ever! Went there with my daughter for dinner. I should have turned around when, as I entered, two people were leaving before they even ordered! Upon entering I notice there were only about 3 parties in the area I was in, however every non occupied table was loaded with dirty dishes! The employees were milling around trying to figure out who was going to seat us and wait on us. Finally we were sat, our order taken and food brought out. What was brought out to me was something I did not order. My daughters order was fine. I had to send it back twice for them to get it right! It wasn’t complicated… A cheeseburger with just cheese! When the waitress brought it back to the kitchen I heard yelling and swearing by her and other workers about my order. They were yelling about whose fault it was that my order was wrong. If my daughter wasn’t with me I would have walked out right then. She was already eating so I didn’t. When my food finally came I never saw any waitstaff or manager to ask how everything was. Only when it was time to leave the check. You can’t bet I won’t be going back there!

On a recent business trip with two breakfast visits at the Riverdale Rd Friendly’s, Great general reno of the store! Menu(s) have been shortened up with plus/negatives. Staff was all on the ball and the breakfast(s) hit the mark! Thank you Friendly’s!

The décor was nice and the food was good but the service was awful. I went in on a Saturday night with a co-worker and we waited probably 5 minutes for someone to come over and get us a table. Which seemed strange since the restaurant was quiet. But that was fine, no big deal. Finally once we were seated we both ordered the same meal. It came out within a reasonable time but after that he didn’t return to our table for at least 30+ minutes. We could see his reflection off the windows hiding in the kitchen chatting. Not once were we offered refills on drinks and both of our meals were missing bacon off the sandwiches, which was the first ingredient in the name of the meal«bacon & swiss turkey burger». At the time we had been there so long it wasn’t even worth complaining about. We were going to order ice cream but figured with how long it took him to do anything else we could be stuck there all night. The meal was good but it would have been better if they actually made it correctly. Maybe it was just an off night but with so many other options on riverdale I don’t think I’ll be rushing back there anytime soon.

Very slow service, they got our order wrong, a HAIR in our food, and the didn’t put toppings on our sundaes… BLECH, is all I can say! We walked in and it was chaotic. Lots of open tables, no hostess or sign saying to wait. I called out to a passing waitress to ask if we seat ourselves and she rudely said no, they were taking names, as if it were obvious. Eventually we sat, our waitress was pleasant… but our food took 50 minutes AND was wrong. My son found a really long hair in his french fries, too. And THEN we ordered sundaes to go. They came with meals or we wouldn’t have bothered. When we got home to eat them we discovered that while the child’s sundae was correct, the 2 adult sundaes were just scoops of ice cream with whipped cream on top! So not really sundaes. Anyway, very unimpressed all around.

Good just any late night place. I tried the buffalo wings and they were really good. The milkshake I had was also tasty. The fish and chips were decent. I have been to friendlys a few times for breakfast in Orlando too and again pretty good. A good option to go if it’s the only spot in the area.

It’s unfortunate that Friendly’s has gone downhill so much, and I was disappointed that there seem to be no efforts to change this. My friends and I stopped in for breakfast the other day. Service was terrible, the kitchen took over a half an hour to get out food out, and the food was bland and lukewarm. I used to love coming here as a kid, and it’s sad to see the downward spiral of this restaurant.

The service is slow and the food is god awful. I love ordering a watery salad. It’s great that they wash the lettuce leaves but maybe they should try drying them too. The ice cream when it is finally served is mostly melted and not what you pay for. It’s such a disappointment especially since Friendly’s originated from Western MA.

I was in town visiting when I thought we’d stop by Friendly’s since the last time I was here we had a fun time having ice cream. We went at 9pm on a Monday night. It wasn’t busy by a long shot, yet the waitress couldn’t have been any slower. She got our order wrong(and others that we overheard) and took ages to get us the check. She never asked us if we needed anything or if we wanted more drinks once we had gotten through our first drink while eating our meal. Even though it wasn’t busy, as we walked out I noticed several dirty empty tables, cleaning buckets on top of tables with no one using them, and crap that the overweight lackluster male manager on-duty should have been harping on everyone to do. Dirty floors. I certainly won’t make this mistake again!

stopped by to grab an ice cream cone with a friend. service was alright(the guy behind the counter prob wasn’t havin a good day). but the ice cream was real good. i got the chocolate ice cream cone(nice and malty). i heard a grip of people tell me about Friendly’s so i definitely made sure to stop by. Didn’t get to try the food though.

This place was pretty decent for a Friendly’s. We went for lunch… Mark got wings and I got the Honey BBQ chicken sandwich. It was excellent. The only thing was the fries were cold… my chicken and Mark’s were hot though and tasted great. Also I ordered Coke but it tasted like root-beer mixed in with coke, so someone screwed up the syrup on the machine lol. but the service was great. they got a huge menu now and its hard to pick out what you want most the time tho. I got a free 2 scoop 1 topping ice cream we shared too. Bill was about $ 22 for two people for lunch
