This is a very shady company and the whole sales experience was a big disappointment. First of all the salesperson was late and did not call ahead to let us know that he will be running late. well that if forgivable cause i understand they can run into other traffic and other unforseen circumstances. The salesman was nice and courteous to our needs and got us interested in the louver. We decided to go ahead and go with them. Since we couldnt afford to pay the whole patio cover with cash, they told us we could finance with their bank. What they didnt do is tell us that if you dont pay out within 1.5 years, your interest rate will rise to 28%. We found that out after a sales manager Max came by for a follow up after we had signed the contract and gave a 1000 dollar down payment. After cancelling, they kept the downpayment for breach of contract. Do not go with this company. It is ran by shysters. Yep

The Guy who came out to give us the estimate for a concrete wall was very rude. No people skills at all. We were trying to tell him exactly what we wanted done. We needed someone to lay out the concrete wall for a fence we want installed In front of our house. It’s our first time getting an estimate for this kind of work, so we don’t know all the jargon associated with it. He kept looking at us like we were speaking another language. And eventually started to be more rude.
The only good part was that he showed up on time.

I was very disappointed when I received a call from West Coast Exteriors. I had requested an in-​home estimate because the set up of the area I was doing was somewhat unique and not one standard area. When I told their scheduler that I was the decision maker and controlled the budget she refused to schedule the appointment until both of us could be here which is virtually impossible during daytime hours because we work different schedules.
If they are this difficult to deal with and unprofessional up front then I have no interest in working with them.
Bad job WCE!

I purchased a Louvretec powder-​coated aluminum opening roof from them for a major backyard remodel in late 2012. I appreciate that there was no «hard sell» during the sales process. There were cheaper products, but I wanted one where the louvres rotate the full 180 degrees to make them easier to clean and to give me maximum flexibility during summer.
I dealt with Max who is very professional and detail oriented. The latter point was important as I was pushing the limit on my setback. He picked up on a measurement error by my designer which made sure I stayed within code.
His installation crew did a great job. They installed 5 individually-​controlled panels because of the size of the area I wanted covered and to give me maximum flexibility. The roof has a rain sensor which automatically shuts all the panels when it rains.
I have already received many complimentary comments from friends who have seen the finished product. We had some very heavy rain in Palo Alto in December and there were no leaks.
I have no hesitation in recommending West Coast Exteriors or the Louvretec product.
