Amazing wholesome flavorful food! Big turkey panini is mouthwatering and the pesto inside just takes the cake. The pumpkin curry coconut chicken soup is(have I said it already?) AMAZING. For dessert, the apple turnover is flaky buttery heaven.

I’ve only stopped here for coffee and pastries, and they’re delicious. Love this place. It’s quaint and it has a relaxing atmosphere. Wish I worked close by to stop for some lunch, but I plan to on a day off. The service is always great, and if they’re going to take a while they have been upfront about it. I’ve had family and friends that have eaten here and they’ve all said positive things.

Super convenient being right next to where I work, but this place is cute as can be. I phoned in my to-go order at 10:30 so they would save a tri-tip sandwich for me. It came with a side salad with dried cranberries, Parmesan, sunflower seeds and balsamic vinaigrette. There was also a persimmon slice and half of a tiny little apple! Adorable presentation. This lunch made my day so much better. Be aware of the limited hours, but it’s a great spot.(Thank you!)

West Sacramento, particularly the Broderick and bridge neighborhood are so lucky to have the Third Strike Café! And now open on Saturdays from 8 – 12! Coffee, pastries, salads, sandwiches. BBQ. Even home made pies! Yummmmm.

I’ve been eying this place for months and finally made it in. I’m so glad I did! Lovely place and patio. Staff and other patrons are all very friendly. Everyone is happy! I’m such a macaroni and cheese addict so I had to try that first today and it’s amazing! I’m looking forward to coming back and trying other options from the menu. The patio is so shady and welcoming. I’ve turned it into my office for the hour, typing emails and checking voicemails while I enjoy this awesome tea and lunch. Thank you! I’ll be back!

Staff was super friendly and helpful while ordering. I had veggie quiche and mocha. Quiche was from Freeport bakery=yummy & they added a fresh slice of watermelon. It was brought out to patio with a smile. Water was also located outside. Nice. Since it was only 10:40 am, mainly breakfast items available but my partner was interested in lunch. She was flexible on everything but a chicken choice(that doesn’t seem to be on their online menu right now) because it wasn’t ready so he got the Turkey panini. It looked great. He was not excited about the combo of avacodo, tomato, and onions= slimy for him. I think that’s opinion so you decide. He also got a small salad, chips, and watermelon with his sandwich. I love the plants all around the patio. Enjoy.

This place is amazing! Service was phenomenal. The Han and Brie panini was the best panini I’ve ever had and it even came with a little side salad and a watermelon slice. I also got an iced coffee with salted caramel that was so delicious! I highly recommend stopping by this little hidden gem!

What a cute little place in West Sacramento! I went for a breakfast meeting the other day for work, and while they did have limited breakfast selections, the coffee was amazing and the Denver Omelette Panini I got was delicious. I asked for no tomato, and they obliged and offered me avocado free of charge. That right there gets them 5 stars.

This is an great little shop outside of the DGS and CalStars building. In plain site, it looks like any old house on the corner, don’t be confused this is a real coffee and lunch spot. Maybe even for a quick drink. The menu was pretty basic, any way you like your coffee. I went with a classic iced mocha. I was actually really impressed by the coffee! This ain’t no Starbucks and I’m glad it wasn’t. The coffee was not over powered by sweetness, just the perfect amount of mocha/chocolate. And the prices were much more reasonable than any Starbs coffee to begin with. I didn’t get a chance to try any pastries or any hot foods. But they all looked and smelled good, definitely worth trying so I might next time I am there.

This little hole in the wall is amazing! Everyone should make a stop, the service is awesome. Panini was delicous and hot as well as their bast variety of tea. They have WiFi and a terrace plenty of shade and space. Will be a returning customer. Super glad to have a local coffee shop near by.

Great place for a cup of coffee or soup and sandwich. I had the Tomatillo Pork Stew over Polenta. The polenta was soul satisfying, creamy deliciousness and was topped with the hearty pork stew. All made with real food, no pre-packaged processed food here. Monica and the lady at counter(I didn’t catch her name) were friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed my visit and will be back.

We had a great late lunch here today while Christmas shopping. Hubby had the Moroccan stew, very eye-appealing and very flavorful, I had the ham and brie panini, and I’d have it again. A nice addendum to our plates were the slices of fresh persimmon and orange from the productive trees in the yard. Lovely owners, lots of time to converse, and they gave us good advice for River Cats/Raley Field parking, too. We’ll be back, we want to delve further into their menu(which was abbreviated this holiday week).

Have come here several times for drinks and one time during their first month of being open to try their ribs and chicken. Every time I’ve come in they have been very friendly and engaging. The ribs, chicken and sides were enjoyed by all 4 people in our party. Even shared some mac and cheese with everyone. It’s nice to see them expanding their menu and having different daily specials, check their Facebook. Great spot to have some beers before a river cats game. Drinks have been on spot, and they have even added an extra shot to make them stronger. They use a good espresso, but have yet to try any of their brewed coffees. Owner has been there on most visits. She and the rest of employees have been very receptive to feedback, as they are catering to a very small audience. I feel bad, as Rich’s review doesn’t portray what this place is all about, but rather a flooded grand opening event that was bigger than anticipated. I look forward to enjoying the food on the beautiful patio next summer. Til then, they have erected an outdoor tent and a heater to keep it warm, still a very nice place to enjoy my food. Glad more small businesses are opening in the area.

Great smoked chicken and sundried tomato panini. The chicken was so very tender. The bacon Mac n cheese is a must try. The service was great and they were super nice and friendly. I’ll be back.

Surprise! The best BBQ in Sacramento. You read that right. So happy. Friendly service. Super clean! Not kidding. The ribs are transcendent. They don’t make it all the time. Get informed on when and GETHERE!

I was gonna get the ribs. But then the chicken plate looked amazing. SO. I got them both plus the jalapeño Mac n cheese. EVERYTHING was spectacular. Ice cold beer and great coffees. The entire staff is amazingly helpful. I will 100% be back soon.

Woohoo! I love new businesses in West Sacramento… especially coffee shops that moonlight as a BBQ stand when there are Home Games at Raley Field. I strolled in here on their first day of serving coffee and pastries. Beautiful outdoor patio, with lovely landscaping amongst the picnic tables. Eating outside is definitely in my future. I tested their latte and soon I’ll go straight coffee to really enjoy the barebones of the beans! I accompanied my latte with a delicious PRAGEL! Have you heard of this? It’s made from pretzel dough and it’s rolled into a bagel shape, slathered in herb cream cheese. What?!? So delicious… a must try. Hopefully there’s a Rivercats game soon, so I can partake in ribs and Mac n’ cheese. I can bike here and enjoy their wonderful selection of beers and lounge on the patio… man, summers in West Sac are starting to look a bit brighter!

It all started with me driving by the house I use to live in years ago and to my surprise it was converted into a café! I had to go and check it out. I looked them up and learned they only serve bbq on Rivercats games so the hubby and I rode our bikes over to see what they had to offer. We both wanted to like it so it could be a regular spot. WELOVEDIT! Not only was the food SO yummy the ladies who work/own the place are sweethearts! Part of me hates that they are so close because I will keep dreaming about that Mac n cheese but my shorts this summer won’t like that! Great food, great people. We will definitely keep going back!

Man… I really wanted to like this place. Beautifully cleaned-up, even with the rusty wrought iron fence. Small outdoor dinning area with a very low income multi family housing next door. The neighbors occasionally strolled by peering our direction, a bit creepy. I could also see the home sharing a varmint or two. Great job with the ADA compliant ramp then to the interior, absolutely beautiful. But we you walk up to the counter and the cashier tells me to slow down with my order, she has never done this before. Yup, were headed downhill. After finally placing our order, we have this awkward lull… do we wait for our drinks, wait for our order, go sit??? We decided were going to go sit. Out came our drinks, with a hint of «you forgot your drinks» Then the food… she’s yelling our number, I thought to myself«oooo this is going to be good» After seeing us, a young lady brings us a giant grocery bag. We kinda looked at each other with the I thought the cashier repeated it back correctly that it was to dine in. Yup, that’s what the receipt says. The young lady, said they were out of the small bacon Mac n Cheese so they gave us a large at no extra charge. We opened the ribs first, three medium ribs, rice, a pickled banana pepper and a small piece of lime. One of the ribs was the end piece, it was so dry, almost shards. This rib should have been thrown away. The chicken was two leg quarters that were cooked well but nothing special. It also was served the same sides as the ribs. The regular Mac n Cheese was good but once again nothing special. The bacon Mac n Cheese was very good, with decent pieces of smokey bacon. As we were leaving, we noticed a lady with a rib plate that had three very large and meaty ribs… well you know what we thought. Either we weren’t welcome or it’s just a very poorly managed kitchen. I’m sorry, our visit was not even ok.

I hear this place was the house of someones grandparents and the children have been working hard to convert it to this café. 4 stars for opening up a new business in what is an up and coming neighborhood. Right across 2 State buildings and a block away from Raley’s Field and the new expensive apartments next door that will cater to downtown life. This review is on their hard work, vision and dream, appearance and location, cant wait to eat and have a beer here when it fully opens!
