Tastiest burgers & root beer floats! I drive over a few cities just to eat there. The best part is the ma & pa service :) They’re so kind and humble. This is also a great place to get home cooked Chinese food! I usually go there for cheeseburgers and order some chicken chow mein to go. It comes with lots of veggies and the sauce is great. Worth checking out: D

Everyone run n tell your friends this place is hot in west sacramento. This was my first time stopping at this little family owned food stand and here goes my review. I First pulled up in parked my car right in front of the little building. I jumped out my car and was immediately greeted by the older gentlemen that worked there, he was super happy to see me i wish i could have gotten a pic of his face. He took my order i ended up getting a double cheese burger and some fries pretty decent sized portion for 7dollars. I waited five minutes and my food was ready i decided to take it home and boy was it good. This will be my new burger spot now in west sacramento. Nice friendly polite people awesome!!! Burgers good times i do recommend this 5 stars.

I had the Pastrami burger. It was fine. It’s strange to say this about a pastrami burger, but it actually needed salt. There wasn’t much in the way of seasoning. The portion size was a bit small as well. I was still hungry after I finished. There were some positives, though. The gentleman running the place was extremely nice and the menu is pretty diverse.

Being that I too have a small local business I go out of my way to find places like this. The food was ok, I ordered a strawberry shake, fries and two dbl cheeseburgers. When he said 12 and change I reiterated that I wanted 2 dbl cheeseburgers. He said yes this price was for 2. The hamburgers were small so that is why they were inexpensive. Fries needed salt. Milkshake was most excellent. I think that people will expect big burgers because that is the norm. I thought they were perfect size. If you go understand that you don’t have to eat large portions every time you have a meal. The asian gentleman behind the service window was friendly. Food was prompt. Nothing glamorous about this place. Took my food to go. Man this place has huge potential but being that it has been there for a long time I doubt that any major change will take place.

This was my first time visiting this place. The owners(husband & wife) were very friendly and wanted to make sure we were happy. We went there before reading the reviews about the Chinese food which was definately not authentic but was not bad. We may give it another visit to try the burger’s next time we are in the area. They have been in business for forty years so they must be doing something right.

I love this place, small but excellent customer service. The owners are very friendly, always have a smile on. When i go i always get their cheese burgers, French fries, a strawberry milkshake or a coke. Run and tell is one of my favorite small family businesses that west sacramento has to offer! :)

I love Run-n-Tell. I have been coming here since I was a very young girl. The owners are VERY friendly and always ask how my parents and brothers are doing. He always knows what I want to to order and service is quick. I love the milkshakes, fries and a burger. Cheap and Good! Chinese food is not good… stick to the burgers.

I had the cheeseburger, deep fried mushrooms and a large chocolate malt. The cheeseburger was blah, the mushrooms was gross and the malt was ok. I could have done better at home. My son had the corn dog and it was better than what I had. They don’t make the corn dogs here, its foster farm corn dog, all they have to do is deep fried. The corn dog was just perfect. They gave me ranch for my mushrooms. Yuck! Ranch sauce was gross, too gross. My son loves ranch and when he sees ranch, all he wants to go is dig in with his fingers. This ranch, he wasn’t trying to do anything with it. The owners are husband and wife. The wife cooks and husband takes the order. The husband was nice and pleasant man. I came here twice and I’m not coming back. Food was cheap.

Everything that these other reviewers, EXCEPT for Darlene M., have said is true especially about the husband & wife owners. I have to add that the secret entrance to the inside seating is the unmarked door on the right of the windows, and also that it’s cash only. so bring cash, ORELSE… or else you may need to run somewhere and get cash after the fact and make a hideous fool of yourself, like I did. While inside, I kept getting the feeling that I was in a movie on a dusty highway somewhere. Also while inside, I discovered that the onion rings are amazingly good and that the little peppers you get with a pastrami sandwich are NOT mild lunch peppers but ferocious i-can-barely-operate-my-brakes, or ICBOMB peppers. Milk shakes are excellent, but if your one of those obscure types that goes insane at the sound of metal on metal, prepare to flee in panic if you order one while inside.

A surprising find, I really liked the thick fries. The owners are super friendly. When I was there, several people came to on foot or on bicycles and ordered from the window. The people all seemed to know each other.

i am a firm believer hole in the wall establishments are some of the best places to eat. also they are becoming few and far between to find them nowadays and especially ones that are cheap. this place looks like a rundown shack from the outside. i think inside they don’t have ac or maybe even lights(no seriously). its very similar to a old school type burger joint. they even have a take out order menu. its always the same two couple that owns, runs and maybe live there. the prices at this place reminds me of like 15 years ago. burgers for like $ 4, drinks like a buck something. they do have a weird menu of burgers and chinese food. I’ve been scared to try any chinese food, but the burgers are on point. everything is especially better because it cheap. now when i have $ 5 in the wallet i know where to go and get food at. the people are nice, food is cooked in front of you and they will make it anyway you want. one note though, don’t get the chili, it looked a little weird cuz its not chunky.

This cute, yes I said cute(not so much from the outside), little place offers up some pretty tasty burgers. There are two disparate menus. One offering Chinese and the other is a typical drive-in menu of various burger variations, sandwiches, fries, shakes and whatnot. I don’t recommend the Chinese food, as it’s pretty average. But the burgers are great, not huge, but works for me. The cute part, to my nostalgic leaning, is the old fashioned indoor counter where you can cop a squat, eat indoors and watch the Mrs. getting her cook on. The owners are very nice and friendly. Some local boys from the neighborhood seemingly followed me in, asked to borrow my cell phone to call their mom, then plopped down some change and the Mr. gave them some water. They hung out a bit to drink their water as I, and another boy with his dad hung out a bit to enjoy burgers. The owner was equally cordial to me(asked me a couple times how I liked my burger), the regulars(new exactly what they wanted), and the water drinking boys(didn’t kick them out for ordering only water and loitering a bit in the parking lot). If you’re in West Sac(near the vague boundary of Bryte and Broderick), in a hurry, and Whitey’s is too busy, then get on over to the Run. *P.S. Yes Gordon B., I let them use my phone, but I dialed their Mom’s # — I’m too much of a softy.
