El Tejon Motel

This motel is only for prostitutes and drug dealers. If you stay here, you will get bed bugs and body lice or your money back. last year, one of the patrons beat her pimp to death with a brick in the parking lot. Perhaps that means that it is a little safer now though.

Manager is unreasonable and lies to your face about the stupidest and smallest things, and doesn’t let you finish a sentence without talking over you.
Complained about the poor WiFi signal in my room (somehow the only one) so she turned it off and said it was only a courtesy that was being taken away.
Tv freezes occasionally and when I complain (somehow I’m the only one) they say they’ll call the next morning (always happens all night) for Wave, which has 24 hour service; when I press them to call now (every freaking time), it always comes back in minutes or while I’m still on with them, which leads me to believe that it is the house wiring they jiggle.
When she cleans the room, she has to sweep the carpet first because the ancient vacuum must have a broken brush; the floor will still have noticeable stuff on it; I have to wear flip flops.
The ac/​heat doesn’t recognize you’re asleep and turns off.
The toilet flapper doesn’t seat correctly; it leaks and fills constantly; they don’t care it’s wasting water in a years long drought.
The toilet flapper is some weird useless design that requires you to hold the lever down to flush; they don’t care I have to stand there for 30 seconds every time.
The grassy area is always filled with dog crap.
The dumpster is always overflowing and surrounded by trash.
There is graphitti on the interior walls.
The fridge doesn’t work correctly; ice cream melts while milk and juice freezes, on the same setting!
The only reason I’m here is that they allowed my cat, which the manager now says was not allowed, and because it’s $ 100 cheaper than Motel 6. If I wasn’t on a fixed income, I’d be at Motel 6.
Since they don’t take cats anymore, I can’t see a reason to stay here as I believe the dozen or more other motels in this area are all about the same price.
