I’ve used Prime Collision several times over the years on different Jeep and Audi models. I’ve found the business has been excellent in terms of setting expectations, communicating progress, transparency on pricing, and solid workmanship.
My most recent visit was for a quarter panel repair claim along with some cosmetic work not covered by insurance. I thought the cash portion of the transaction was fair and reasonably priced.
This location is not on any public transit and a bit out of the way, though they did provide a ride to the orange line on my prior visit. On my return from downtown Boston this time, I just did UberX at about $ 25.
Call out to Shayne J and Shawn B who got all the needed parts staged and claims readied so my vehicle could get in and out quickly before a long weekend! I had progress updates by email throughout, and got a phone call the moment the car was ready to pick up. Very satisfied with the quality of the repair, hope not to be back!

Can’t recommend these guys more. I needed my bumper fixed and they were super friendly, helpful and very fast. I then got my hail damage fixed here and had the same experience — they even managed to save me a bunch of money. Great folks, great service.

Prime Collision Center did a fantastic job with my 2015 GS 350. Shayne handled everything from getting my car towed to their shop to getting me into a rental. Updates every 2 – 3 days on how things were going. I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommended Prime Collision Center for anyone looking for any kind of body work. Fantastic job guys!!!

Do not bother spending money here — they ridiculously overcharge. I bumped into a car last week and opted not to file an insurance claim (didn’t want a hike in my premium), so the other driver took her leased Mercedes here for an estimate on the damage. Mind you, this was a slight dent and minor scratch on the fender and bumper. The total? $ 1,900 and 36 hrs of work to REPLACE barely damaged parts.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I received the estimate, so I called and spoke to the manager to see why they didn’t feel capable of doing quality work in a reasonable amount of time. $ 1,900 for a tiny fender bender is absolutely nuts. Guy said he has to be able to guarantee his work. Takes 3 hours to take off the bumper, 5 to take off the fender. Then paint, etc. Buddy, you’re in the wrong business if it takes you and your guys that long. Even another body shop reviewed the damage and your estimate and was shocked.
Nice try scamming me, but I’m going through my insurance, and they laughed at your suggestion to replace over 5 parts for this. It’s a Mercedes, not solid gold. Get over yourself.

This place is the WORST! My car was towed there after an accident and my $ 350 GPS was stolen! When I went to get stuff from my car after the accident and discovered it had been stolen, there was ZERO security. I was able to walk up to my car and take stuff out of it without one person asking who I was or why I was there. When I tried to talk to the woman who was working on my claim she basically just blamed me for not removing it, and didn’t take any responsibility at all. I told her that I left the accident in an ambulance and wasn’t in any shape to be removing valuables from my car, but she clearly did not care. The WORST!

Prime Collision is a Geico preferred location, so I decided to get my car serviced there and I was able to get a car rental on the spot from Enterprise. Don from Geico and the manager from Prime were excellent and very clear.

So some crazy lady rear-​ended my beloved Lesbaru the other day. I called Geico to make a claim and they mentioned going through one of their «preferred locations» to have the work done. I decided to give it a try.
Here’s the AMAZING part. Don Gracie from Geico (who works at Prime Collision) e-​mailed me and asked me to send pictures of the damage so he could PRE-​ORDER parts! Have you ever heard of a body shop actually this on top of things?
Dropped my car off at 2 pm Monday, picked up a rental car onsite (Enterprise), and got a text/​phone call at 2 pm Tuesday that it was ready. 24 hours for $ 1,200 worth of damage (new bumper and some big metal bar). I would definitely go back.

Chose prime because they were one of the few Toyota certified autobody shops in MA. They had the car for over two weeks and upon pick-​up, the paint did not match the rest of the car. It was not even close. Additionally, the lines were terrible. So much for Toyota certified. I would never go back.

I needed a body shop that could do quick, reasonable priced work on my Audi and drop me back home so that I would not have to pay for Über on top of the repair costs. Shayne arranged for me to get a ride back to my place for free and to have the car dropped off when it was done (also at no additional cost to me). The best part was that they took my car in the day after the estimate so that I did not have to loose another day from work. I was really happy with the job that they did. Honesty is the best policy? I drove it off the lot with damage and John of Prime claims that it is my fault. It’s my fault that they drove it around and put a nail in my tire and it’s my fault that the undercarriage panel covering that they replaced was improperly installed. Hope everyone reads the additional poor reviews and forms their own opinion!

I’ve had my share of texters damage my car, as well as a hit and run. Because of convenience, I go to Prime collision. Had to bring the car in a month ago because a liner had come unscrewed and was rubbing against the front tires. I also mentioned to them that the front bumper was not tight. They said «Okay, our work is guaranteed,» and fixed it. Two days ago I noticed that the bumper is actually separating from the car at the exact place I pointed out to them. I will bring it back to fix what they didn’t, but then never Prime again. There’s a nice place in Norwood which is not nearly as convenient but has always had raves from friends.

Best experience ever with an auto body shop. Shawn Bolger and team were amazing through check in and check out I knew exactly what was happening with my car step by step. The photos on the web were awesome an updated daily. Car came back looking like new!

After and accident I dropped my car at the prime collision center in west roxbury. Everybody was very welcoming and friendly and my car was fixed in a very short time. Shayne Preddie was taking care of me and my car. She was wonderful. She kept me updated and informed on the status of my car. I will definitely recommend this shop to everyone.

I love Prime. I bought a brand new CRV from Prime Honda and about a month later some dummy cab driver crashed into me! I was devastated… but luckily prime collision was one of the autobodies covered by the other guy’s insurance. They were great in so many ways. First, they have the option of appraising your car as they fix it. This saved me so much time because I didn’t need to get it appraised before I brought it into the shop and also saved me the hassle of possibly having to revise my appraisal, if they found more damage after it was fixed. Second, the staff there were great! My rep was Mandy and she was very friendly and kept me updated on my car via email. When I initially brought my car in, she was not in the office and another gentlemen helped me… I don’t know his name, but I think he sits next to the reception desk… anyway…not sure who he is, but that guy is AWESOME!!! Very friendly and helpful staff. They were also able to re-​add my Enviro-​coating back onto my car… if you don’t have that on your car… you NEED it… it looks like your car is waxed all the time and not to mention it protects your car from many environmental factors. Prime is one of the only places that offers it.
They also have enterprise on-​site, so it was very convenient for me to get my rental. The guys at enterprise are also very cool.
As for my car… I swear it drives better than it did when i first bought it and looks great… def recommend this place!
One last thing I wanted to add… in a previous review below, someone wrote that it took a very long time to get their car fixed and when I initially read that review, I was a little scared of taking my car here since the accident was not my fault at all and I didn’t want to have to pay extra for the rental if it took longer to fix, but my impression is that Prime is aware that this may affect your rental and I had no problems getting my car fixed on time (I had A LOT of damage too).

I had work done at Prime Collision Center they did a good job. The only thing that got me not liking that place was there payment policy. I had to pay my deduction and when the find the other party at fault my insurance sent the check to Prime. They claim that they could not stop the check that my insurance send them because it would mess-​up there payment system. Them once it shows that I have a zero balance they would cut me a check. I waited about a week to get my money and had to call the office to see what’s up. The billing lady Nancy was so rude about cutting me a check. They have no problem taking my money up front for work to my car but when it times to pay back the money it takes forever. They need to change their payment system to benefit other.

First, the good stuff: My car had some panel damage requiring replacement of 2 panels. I chose this shop based primarily on them being listed as an authorized Audi repair shop. The quality of the work they did is excellent, and you could never tell that any work had taken place at all. So high marks on quality.
The bad stuff: I was told within a few days of dropping the car off that the second panel needed replacement and not repair (as the insurance co. had indicated). I was given an estimated completion time for the car of about 10 days. The day came and I had heard nothing, so I emailed and called to ask whether the car was ready. I was told that the technician had been busy with another car, and so the car hadn’t been worked on for almost that entire time. I was given a revised estimated completion time.
That day came and went, and I was given another updated time, the day after Thanksgiving. I expressed my frustration with this but what could I do? The next week, I still didn’t have the car, and was told it was heading to the paint shop and was given yet *another* revised completion date.
By this point I was extremely annoyed for a few reasons. First, the shop knew what work needed to be done within a few days of my dropping the car off. Even if I factored in the time when their technician wasn’t available, they were off on their completion date by OVER THREE WEEKS. How a shop could be so wildly off on the length of time they would need is beyond me – this is ALL THEY DO, they should have some experience estimating this. The explanation I was given was «the extent and nature of the repairs took more time». To which I called bullsh*t, as they knew everything that needed to be worked on within the first few days.
Secondly, I had been given a guaranteed 10 day turnaround by another well-​respected shop in Allston, and so I was kicking myself for the decision I made – I had to rent a car during the repair time, which instead of being a 10 – 14 day rental was a month long rental, and ended up costing me over $ 1000 to rent (and I rented the cheapest car I could find).
Thirdly, after expressing my displeasure to the customer liason (more than once), I was told my frustrations would be forwarded to the manager and the body shop manager. I took this to mean I could expect *some* reply from someone, but I received nothing. No call, no e-​mail. And so the printout I got when I picked up my car exclaiming their committment to customer satisfaction and desire to hear from unhappy customers rang pretty hollow to me.
So the bullet here is – they do very solid work, as long as you are fine with a completely open-​ended amount of time they will take to finish the work, and with ultimately meaningless updates about when your vehicle will be ready.

Hassel free service, you can go in and get a quote on how much it will cost to repair your car. It doesn’t take weeks to fix your car, and one of the guys even gave me a tour of the place, along with the guy who worked on my front bumper. Generally a positive experience, the place is hard to find though.

Boston drivers get a bad rap. Sure, we have our share of Massholes and old people but for the most part I think we’re an effective, assertive bunch of drivers. But for the times when some douche in a Lexus sideswipes you, or some hooligans in JP steal the body moulding off your new Honda Fit and give it a swift kick to the door (yep), you’ll need get some work done. My insurance company guaranteed the work at Prime, and it was close by so I went. A few days and a monster deductible later, I had my car back and it was looking fly. The service was excellent, they called with updates every day and were very friendly in person. The woman who was in charge of my car was thorough and professional, so if you end up going here, ask for Shane. She handled all of the paperwork with the insurance company, so I just had to pay the deductible to Prime. The prices were comparable to other body shops too, so if you’re one of the terrible drivers who hits innocent Hondas with your stupid Lexus, you can get your car fixed here too without going through insurance. Even though money is no object to you, ya douche.
