We hired Wheaton to pack all our belongings, and then move us across the country from Coral Springs, FL to San Jose, CA. We had a 3 bedroom /2 bath house and sold most of our furniture. We came with our dining room table, 6 chairs, a recliner, sofa, coffee table, end table, two armoires, king size bed /mattress, two night stands, a desk and office chair. We had 286 items packed onto the truck, including the furniture, boxes, and various other items. We were originally quoted $ 1,700 for the packing and it wound up costing us $ 2,610, as the person conducting the estimate did not include packing all our paintings, mirrors, pictures, or wardrobes for our clothes. It was supposed to be around $ 7,000 for weight /distance and wound up costing us $ 8,910. Besides the difference in the pricing estimate, I would highly recommend this company for the promptness and professionalism of their workers. I would say to make sure that everything you are taking is included on the estimate worksheet, and be honest about exactly what you are taking. Our packers made sure everything was packed safely and everything arrived with no breaking, knicks, or anything that you would normally expect from another company. All of the boxes were labeled, which made it easy to find what we needed to get started in our new home. Our driver /mover, Bill, called us multiple times to ensure the correct addresses and arranged times that would suit us. He wrote down everything that was packed onto the van with a sticky numbering system, which ensured that all of our items arrived. The gentlemen hired to help Bill with loading and unloading the trucks were absolutely fantastic. Again, I would highly recommend this company.
