West Palm Beach Service Plaza

Nothing but junk food to eat, so had to order from burger king which was exceptionally disgusting. Cold stale fries, flat sodas, no ice, and even parts of my burger were ice cold. What a disappointment. Take my advice, only stop here if you need to use a toilet, the food here sucks.

When I was in Italy I was utterly amazed at the rest stops. It was not the cleanliness, but the fact that that there was usually a chef preparing delicious meals with the freshest ingredients. Well, that is not the case with rest stops in the United States, but the ones nearby have still come a long way recently.
The rest stops from Pompano to Orlando have been completely redone or in the case of the West Palm Beach Service Station, completely knocked down and rebuilt. The result is a shiny, more compact, clean space that is worthy of a bathroom break or a quick bite.
The bathrooms are immaculate and are a great improvement from the old rest stop. The only thing that might need an upgrade in this rest stop are the concession stands: Dunking Donuts, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, & Earl of Sandwich. It’s pretty hard to get anything healthy, although I got a decent tasting sandwich from Earl of Sandwich. I know, there are many places right off the highway… but when you are on a long journey with kids and in a rush, well, sometimes you just have to make do!
It’s certainly not Italy, but it’s nice to know that Turnpike rest stops don’t have to be a scary place anymore!

I always like to stop by this location to wash my windshield and to use the restroom. The gas station is located on the north side of the service plaza which is perfect when I am heading south. Use the restrooms in the gas station, they are much less crowded.

Im not ashamed of Reviewing this location, as this is my weekly pit stop On my way home for my looooong drives.
This Service Plaza is by far the best Ive been to, and I visit plenty.
The staff is always cleaning the parking lot and assisting tourist with the gas pumps and directions. The station was recently rebuilt, so I hope they keep it up from the nightmare it used to be.
Bathrooms here are extremely clean!
