Weddings By Cecilia

Poor customer service. We originally chose Weddings by Cecilia as she is a trilingual officiant. While Cecilia is very professional and organized regarding ceremony planning, and offers many customizable options and good ideas for the ceremony, she appears to lack compassion for her customers. My fiancé and I unexpectedly broke up before securing a ceremony date. We had already paid her a deposit for our ceremony. Under the one-​year contract, by the time we did work through things and eventually got engaged again, she refused to credit our entire deposit toward a ceremony. I understand the necessity for contracts, but weddings require long-​term planning and, quite frankly, sometimes s**t happens along that planning journey. Cecilia did offer to allow us to put roughly half of the deposit toward a future ceremony, but that seems like an unnecessary compromise, given that we would have no problem paying the difference in total fees since the contract was written. I’m positive there are more compassionate multi-​lingual officiants in South Florida.
