Romana Pizza

It’s not a fancy place by any means. Overall, I like the fresh quality of the pizza and toppings. Don’t expect stellar service. This isn’t a big box restaurant where they might focus on that. They focus on the food for the most part and I’ll say, it’s tasty and better than franchise.

I had delivery from Romana after the Thursday night art show at the marina. the order taker was friendly and helpful. we ordered one large sausage pie and it was pretty awful. NJ/​NY visitors will be very disappointed. A previous review i read said it was like chuck e cheese and frozen pizza … That was pretty accurate. Wish I listened to him instead of the ones who said it was the best pizza they ever ate in their lives. I would have been better off with a frozen pizza, & I don’t even like frozen pizza.
I have been to a lot of pizza places and this was down there with some of the worst in my life.

Nasty customer service all around. Can’t comprehend simple requests. Food was very basic & unappealing. If your thoughts are «maybe we’ll try it», just don’t.

Saturday, we called our local pizza place and they never answered the phone — we tried three times over the half hour just thinking they were really busy. (It was 430pm) — they never answered. After searching Unilocal we saw another place only 5 minutes away that was open, so we called romanos.
I’m so glad we did ! We ordered a large pizza for pickup, one side mushrooms. When I got there to pick it up, I was surprised at the price. Our other place charges 17 and change for our order every time and it’s super salty. Romanos was 13 and change, for the same exact size and it was not as salty. They were just as fast too. It seems like their pizza is hand made, with a nice thin crust. We were extremely happy with the taste and afterwards for hours we noticed that we were not drinking buckets if water to quench our thirst.
On the inside of this pizza place, it’s small and simple. You can tell most people order take out. On the walls the is decoration of all things Mafia. I thought that was really cool. Tony Soprano photos with cast and some scarface photos. The staff was really friendly. I’m writing this from my phone instead of my usual laptop, so please excuse the typos caused by autocorrect and fat fingers.
Most of all, I’m not sure if pizza Lino is closing or not. Maybe that day they were not open yet? Maybe they are moving? I don’t know what’s going on, but it seems every business in the island is either moving or closing to move into the big ocean mall center across the street.
To get to romanos just head west over the bridge and it will be on your left, in the last plaza before the gas station.

This place is so dirty it should be shut down! From when you walk up to the front door, to the floor, to where the pizza is made to the employes themselves.
If you don’t believe me then go take a look for yourself.

Fantastic service! Called prime time, they said 45 minutes. Took credit card over phone and said they would deliver to pool at our Resort. 36 minutes later it was here. Buffalo Chicken was Outstanding! Pizza arrived HOT! So hot, the heat escaping the box about burned my fingers. All in all — it’s an 11 out of 10

We get this pizza several times a month and it is the best pizza I’ve had.
Try the garlic rolls for a special treat; FABULOUS!!!

This place is PHENOMENAL. Delicious wings, amazingly fresh and flavorful pizza and the best meatball sub I have ever had in my life. They seriously know what they are doing. They really know how to SEASON meat very well. This really goes a long way in the meatball sub.
The customer service is great. There are 3 – 4 eat-​in tables and they deliver as well. I have had both delivery and eat in experiences with them. They are my favorite place for take-​out Italian food. No one in South Florida can compare.

This is true NY-​style pizza, with great salads too. We were staying at The Resort at Singer Island and kept seeing the Papa John boxes being brought in — but sought local, home grown italian style pizza. They delivered great service and brought it right to our hotel room.
