Revolutions At City Place

Came in at around 5pm on a Friday night. No busy at all other than a corporate party playing on two lanes. Waited 33 minutes (there’s a timer on the bowling screen) for service because management called a «meeting» with all the employees 15 minutes into our wait, and the waitress had to wait for meeting to be over to bring us a few ice waters to start and a few cocktails to follow. It was really hot and frustrating.
Bowling was $ 30/​hr
Decided not to have dinner here and we went to brios instead which we thought was a brilliant idea.
I was pushing a double stroller and open the door with my back while three employees at the front were chatting and laughing. Terrible service.

The employees were very nice and very helpful, however, it doesn’t make up for the fact that the food is AWFUL. Great place for bowling with the kids, but eat somewhere else.

From the same people who bring you the dirty and poorly run Frank Theaters, there is little that is revolutionary about Revolution. The food is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick, but you might think about the stick a minute first. It has a bowling alley and arcade, and a pool table, so it has some level of entertainment going for it, when it works and when the staff, mostly pre-​Walmart greeter class hires, decide they want to offer you some decent service.

For starters, if you are a bowler — NEVER go here. It is not a bowling alley. It is an arcade with bowling lanes. The approach is laminate, not oak. The surface is sticky — maybe from all the kids running around and spilling stuff on it. I actually injured my leg because the surface was sticky and my slide stopped suddenly.
The lane we were on (9) was tilted to the right. I have a fast ball, so it didn’t affect me too much. My less aggressive companions found their ball drifting to the right — consistently.
We also had dinner there. The food was as one would expect from a «bar scene». It was «ok», but certainly nothing to consider for an evening out.
To wrap this up, I had my first and last visit to Revolutions yesterday. It is probably fun for a family night out, and I expect that is the goal. If you are a serious bowler or you are looking for a decent meal, look elsewhere.

Way over priced and over-​rated. Just save your money and go to a real bowling alley..

I really enjoyed this place. Went here with my co worker and friends. We got a VIP room. Only thing was that there’s a long waiting list so go ahead of time. We actually watched a movie before going. Also the VIP room is shared we thought it was only to ourselves, either way it was nice.
Will be coming back here the price is good as well.

Went for a dinner with gf and food was decent, HORRIBLE service, should have read Unilocal reviews with what everyone else said. There’s 400 different places to go in this area, go to any of them instead. Took 30 minutes to get a drink yet they still charged me for it after I said I didn’t want it.

The atmosphere was fun, for watching Sunday football and drinking at the bar but to sit down and have lunch the service was horrible. We were 4 of 5 and she took our drink order, we told her we were missing one and she said okay. After we were all complete she comes up wreaking of ciggerates asking if we were ready to order, we said we were not and she walked away not even bothering to give our friend who just joined us a menu or asking what’d he liked to drink. It wasn’t till we said we were ready to order that my friend had to read off my menu and ask for his water for her to realize she never offered either. We ordered appetizers and dinner right off the bat and the table that came 15 minutes after us got their food before us, we didn’t even receive our appetizers till we received our actual entrées. Service was absolutely horrible. Never again.

Waited 5 minutes to be seated as the hostess was busy talking to another employee. Waited another 20 minutes and none of the server even acknowledged. As I was writing the bad review, a server came by and asked me, if I was being helped. After I told her that for the past 20, Ashley the waiter offered a free beer on her and brought it out in 2 minutes. She asked for my name, kind of cool, and apologized once more. I asked for suggestion and she quickly pointed out her favorite. As a business consultant, a management realignment may be needed as it seemed as only couple of people really cared about the job. The employee environment felt as they lacked leadership and motivation. This place has potential and should be packed with better food, better morale and better leadership. I do not know the intricate detail of this establishment but there are positive ones. The bar tenders had no room for anyone to sit. They were engaged with their patrons.

I wouldn’t recommend this place the wait so not worth it and even more not worth people work there

Wow… waited 3 hours to bowling… horrible service horrible food, horrible, how is this place still open?

If you are planning to go to Revolutions (bowling) in WPB, FL don’t bother. Have been waiting 3 hours to bowl, and nobody who works here seems to care about their job let alone the patrons. Leaving now without even being able to bowl. Wish Unilocal would let me give it zero stars.

I would give them 0 stars if I could! This place sucks! Been waiting 2 ½ hours to bowl. Table service was the same. Workers have no clue! The manager was even worse. He was combative refusing to listen or take constructive criticism. My family has owed a restaurant for 28 years and I know how it can be but this was unexceptionable.
I don’t usually complain but couldn’t help this place. Save your money & don’t go!!!

This place was okay but I would have prefferd to do anything else on a FRIDAY night. Rhe food was bad the employees were rude. But really what do you expect from a bowling alley. Next week were going to city place and having some drinks.

Bowling, beers, tv’s everywhere and music what more can you ask for?! Lounges all around, great atmosphere!

Heard about all hype; but was very disappointed. the waitress service took forever. we were given a lane to bowl but when we went to sign up they had moved us to another lane without telling us and then had to move us back. had to go get the manager because at one point screen changed and we couldn’t figure out who was bowling which frames. the food was grossly overpriced. A Caesar salad look like a bag of lettuce they dumped in a bowl threw some kind of chicken on it! Then we went to play in the Arcade; put money into a «token machine» to get a playing card which in turn took our money and didn’t give us the card so we had to wait another 20 minutes for a technician to come and open the machine! Rest assured if we want to go bowling again we will go to a local place and save the money and the drive and the parking and avoid this ripoff!

Fun for bowling, but food (pizza & nachos) were only passable. Our group of 6 enjoyed the discount with a Groupon, other than that, I’d never pay the normal price for a Saturday afternoon.

As a local, I would never recommend this place. Went in with the husband and kids to play bowling, had to wait forever, decided to play pool instead. Told to go to the bar tender to get dented balls and only bent pool sticks available to play. There is more than enough room to place pool tables in another area with ample room to move around, yet they placed pool tables squished next to each other next to the bowling alley. Who had the bright idea to do that? Constantly having to stop playing so the people next to us could take their shot. Also, given where the pool table is, people going to play in the bowling lanes continue to walk through interrupting our game rather than go around the pool table area to not interrupt. Couldn’t move tables and chairs there and put the pool table in the back? With the prices, one would think they could afford proper sticks. What a joke for the price. If you enjoy being financially sodomized this is the place for you!
Customer service is horrific, food is disgusting, and no sense of organization given the lay out. For the prices, given the location, I expect perfection. We paid full price to come here and I noticed now they’re offering groupons. I would not even pay groupon price to go back to this establishment. Too bad too, it has such great potential.

The worst establishment i have ever been to in WPB. We wanted to sit at a booth and watch the playoffs but it took forever to get the table cleaned up. Once we sat we were handed menus and I ordered wine but was told they had no bartender so they had no wine opener! Ridiculous! The appetizer was decent — chicken quesadillas — but the service was deplorable. Their bowling alley is nice and has potential but this place isn’t cheap and they can’t justify their prices. The establishment itself is beautiful but it’s badly managed.

What an awesome place to watch a football game! Almost didn’t come because of the reviews and so happy we ignored them. The staff was so helpful and friendly and made our visit a blast. Katie was our waitress and really went out of her way to accommodate our group. The bar has many little nooks to watch the game and is great for groups. Outside and inside seating… we will definitely be back!
