I took a small 3 day cruise out of here. The cruise itself was actually pretty decent for a small boat and a short duration, but the actual port where you park was a nightmare. First they force you to valet($ 17 a day), then it probably took us 2.5 hours to board(insane lines not enough employees). If you do end up doing the cruise I recommend either doing the express check out or sleeping until they kick you out of your room because getting off and through customs was ridiculous. Between the line on the boat and after probably took 3.5 hours to get 100 yards from the boat through customs and to the valet. There were like 3 customs employees. Never taking a cruise out of WPB again no matter how good of a deal I get… Still at waiting at valet currently

What’s to say about the Port of Palm Beach? I guess all that I can say is it’s «Where the Boat Leaves From» as I visited PoPB to sail on the Bahamas Celebration. The port itself is a small port with that is primarily used as a shipping hub for importing and exporting, and as a cruise dock for the Bahamas Celebration cruise that leaves every 2 days for Freeport(Our Lucaya) Bahamas. From my experience I can say the process to board the cruise ship and to get off is a real pain in the rear! Boarding wasn’t as bad as getting off and having to pass through U.S. Customs. Basically when we boarded we gave our bags to a guy that gave us a thumbs up after they sent the bags through the scanning, then we went in the building where our carry on bags were then scanned, after that we went up an escalator where we had to fill out forms, wait in line, then see an attendant who took our paperwork and passports and sent us on our way to the ship. Upon arriving back to the port from Bahamas we had to go through Customs that seemed to take forever, but that is what you expect when the government is involved in anything; a slow and painful process. We got off the ship and walked though what looked like a prison hallway to the Customs area, there we waited and waited in line to get up to a point where a guy took our declaration form and looked at it, then we were sent to a counter where we had to hand over our passports, then after that we were on our way to wait in another line for the valet to get our valet ticket, then we waited for our car. All in all, the port is about waiting and waiting…
