Two drink minimum, non-alcoholic beverages $ 6 each. Too expensive for non-alcoholic drinks. Service is mediocre.

If you’re looking to laugh, this is the place to be! My wife and I have been here plenty of times throughout the years. We have seen Ralphie May, Broken Lizard, and Pauly Shore. This place is located on the second floor in CityPlace right near the movie theater. In fact, over the years, it’s gotten bigger! If I remember correctly, the Improv will start seating about thirty minutes before the show starts, just wait in line and show them your tickets. What I don’t like about the seating is that you are very close to everyone else seeing the same act. It’s like being on a cheap airline. The cool part is that you get to chat with new people that are sitting next to you, but seriously, there’s barely any room to move. I haven’t really had a lot of the food there since normally we go out somewhere close to eat, but this time we had the pretzel sticks appetizer. I thought it was pretty good, for a pretzel, that is. They have their own specialty drink menu. I got a couple of lemon mojitos, and it seems like the prices are in line with any other CityPlace restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, I hate paying $ 12 a drink, but it is what it is. At least what I got was on the strong side! :D It seems like the waiters and waitresses will go out of their way to try not to disturb you during the show, but it’s inevitable. A few times I had a hard time seeing the comic because they were helping out another guest, but if the improv didn’t shove us all in one crammed space, we wouldn’t have that problem. Overall, it’s not a bad experience and I like going here. I’d recommend it to a friend.

The Improv is a large club which isn’t necessarily a good thing. The«VIP» seating is a joke. You get to sit at a very crowded table where you can barely move or get through the aisle to your seat. The stage is very small basically cornering the comic and the place relies on video monitors for those in the back so you pay for a live show and watch it on tv. Drinks are absolutely terrible. Water, sugar, and ice mixed together. The prices are totally ridiculous. I’ve been to plenty of clubs with a two drink minimum where you get good drinks at a decent price. Not here. Bad drinks, bad seating, bad prices. So bad.

Great show, just saw SINBAD… I won Tickets from Radio Station, seating was good, I got there at least 2 hours before the show 2 Be up front. Its. First come, first served with Seating …2 Drink minimum, Drinks are $$$ Expensive, & food was Ok. …make sure u don’t park at the meter parking on street — 2 Hour Meters, so we had 2 Run back & feed meter before the Show started & still got a Ticket, $ 27.00…Make sure you Park in THE Garage !!!

Just saw Billy Gardell here last night and WOW! He was great! But. in specifically reviewing this venue, I’m giving it 4 stars in comparison to other comedy clubs. Palm Beach Improv is the second largest improv club in the country, and does a good job of serving a packed house. We arrived around 7:30pm for an 8pm show and were seated somewhat toward the back but could see the stage easily. They’ve got a few screens mounted up high for those who may be obstructed, but there were minimal poles(4, I believe) that could have caused some obstruction. Next time around, we’ll get there an hour before show time. The menu is pretty typical of a comedy club, as was the pricing, but my only disappointment were the restrooms. How can a comedy club this large only have 3… yes, THREE stalls in the women’s restroom? That’s just insanely small for such a large venue. Other than that, I really like this venue, the service, and the easy parking, and find it to be a much better option than the Hollywood Improv at the Seminole Casino.

4 stars– solely based on the venue appearance and comic selection. The drinks are way overpriced and cheaply made so that was very disappointing but for places like this, that’s where their money comes from so you have to expect it. The venue was nice and very spacious. You will pay $ 100 easily per couple with their 2 drink minimum rule. We saw Bryan Callen who was amazing… but for anyone else who is even closely short to amazing, I wouldn’t spend the crazy money we did here. It was also unusually warm inside, you’d think they could afford A/C charging $ 20 a drink :)

Really had an amazing time and incredible comedians. Brian Callen might be one if the funniest live shows I have seen in a very long time. Something about going to see a live comedy show that makes your stomach hurt for a few hours because you are laughing so hard. Food was decent but the show was awesome and the venue is great. They should book Callen more often because there wasn’t a single soul in the place not laughing.

Still the best venue to see new and top comedians live in the three counties. The menu has changed a bit now that their Copper Canyon eatery is open next door. The bar remains a mess. Watery drinks and they’re out of certain types of booze n the weekends which is not comedy friendly. If you get on their mailing list you will get called with«Free» tickets to the show for newer comics which you should try as many of them work harder than the Name acts. Beware though, they charge a «fee» to process the tickets of $ 5 a pair, but you save $ 20 a ticket so it is still a good deal.

Came here twice and both times my boyfriend and I have gone has been a great experience. Service was good and so was the food and drinks! Gratuity is also included which is nice.

I was on vacation last week in Florida and ordered a ticket ahead of time. When I arrived I was the only one sitting and they sat me right by the stage which was fun. Then the place filled up; I mean packed with people. The 3 comedians were so funny. Everyone just laughed and laughed. Was very worthwhile. I loved it. Waiter was terrific. What a great surprise!

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we had a great time. We did not order any food, but the cocktails were amazing and the service was on point despite the club being packed. Our server even gave us the check in advance so we wouldn’t have to wait and cash out at the same time as everyone else. The only downside was the 2 drink minimum on top of paying for the tickets. Since we live over 40 minutes away, I had to drive and ended up wasting most of my second drink. On a separate note, seating is on a first come, first serve basis so I suggest arriving very early to get a good spot!

Really upset. Came here for my bachelor party and really was not a great time. The AC was turned off. And when I asked the server he told me there’s a lot of people. Hmmm place has been open for a long time now I’m guessing. You don’t think they know how to prepare for this? Maybe this is a way to increase business for their drinks. Then I am the designated driver and they are still forcing me to buy drinks. What the hell ?? Can’t imagine why this place has only 3 stars. The show was good. The sound was a bit off. Didn’t have anything to eat. Drinks were terrible. My brother ordered his 2, 6 dollar sprites which were watered down. I had my 2 voss waters which were the mini ones for 6 a piece. Overall ehhh experience. Probably will stick to comedy club in boca.

I had a wonderful time at the Improv on Sat. Charlie Murphy was amazing. Our server Jessica was delightful. But after ordering only 2 drinks(2 drink minimum), my bill was over $ 45. I thought I was in WPB not Miami. Drink prices are ridiculous and I don’t like the fact that they don’t display it on the menu.

The first time that We come was for Carlos Mencia We got the VIP tickets but We arrive a little late because We live in Miami so driving to there is like a 1 and half hour We did it in 1 because We don’t want to miss my favorite comedian. When We arrive a host take us to our seat and the big surprise the VIP area was a crowded long table and my wife and I never seat apart We seat always next to each other but here you must seat front because they made the VIP area in that way. And We are seating with random people next to us. The last visit was worse They share your table with other people so you can’t have good space to eat. I don’t know if We come back again.

I want to tell you about the club, the wait staff, the menu, and the prices. I don’t want to talk about any particular show or any comic. That all changes and that research is on us when we buy the ticket. So what other research can you do? Exactly this. First up: the club’s air conditioning is dismal. Absolutely horrid. Sure, it can seat 300+ people. Sure it has a great location and is otherwise kept up pretty nice. But when you stand in line for an hour in 85+ degree weather at night, and then come to a club with 80+ degree weather, it really sets things off to a bad start. The wait staff is great, actually. They’re attentive, get you your needs, and explain stuff in a good way. In fact it’s incredible when you’re in the club(packed) and you consistently see their staff hustling to get everyone’s orders in. I do want to give them props for that. But that’s about where it stops. I already mentioned the dismal AC conditions. There weren’t even any fans. No moving air. So that brings me now to the menu and to the drinks. They enforce a two drink minimum. OK. I get it. They need to pay their bills. And really… are you going to a comedy club sober? Get outta here. But when I buy a drink I want an actual drink. Cost isn’t a factor. I want an actual drink. I asked for different brandies, cognacs, whiskeys, and they had nothing. Not even standard stuff like Jameson’s or Bushmill’s. At least they wouldn’t serve it to me straight. And why’s that? I don’t know. But I can guess. I had two«vodka» drinks that were mostly ice, and after I had them(one, gulp, gulp, two, gulp, gulp) I wasn’t sure I had drank any alcohol at all. I just find it very strange that they were happy to serve me «vodka», my friends«rum», but wouldn’t serve me a straight up drink. It could be the place was more crowded than usual. I get that. But don’t take my money and give me something besides what I ordered. And when you’re an all-inside event in the summer, I want relief from the heat. That’s why we go to the club and not to some outdoors concert. I have no idea what the owners are spending their money on. To be fair, the wait staff are cool. Just in a bad system. I would NOT recommend this to anybody in any event.

To add to the above, I didn’t find the headliner funny.(Warm-up act was better.) it seems it’s pitched at a much younger crowd than us(and he was much younger). And then making jokes about how people come to West Palm to die? Saying West Palm is all white people, twice, just isn’t true. It’s 28% black, 25% Hispanic, 43% white. So these jokes were ill-informed, which made the comic look bad(and not funny). At least we had comp tickets.(Got them on Goldstar.) Drinks, two each, were $ 35. That includes a 15% service charge(and then another line to write in a tip, which struck me as «hustling»). And then it wasn’t very funny. I’d wanted to go to the Improv for quite a while. Doubt we’ll be back. If anyone knows a venue for old geezer humor send me a message.

Had a blast last night! We got there early and had FRONTROW seats, an amazing waiter, and great drinks! My friend and I shared a yummy bottle of Champagne that counted as both of our 2 drinks and was priced really good. The two apps for 13 $ deal(we got four) was good for us to nibble. They had craft beer for my hubby(the birthday boy). My friends hub had 2 Long Islands that were souped up with good quality likkah and plenty of it.(Hence the 13 $ per drink price-duh) all four of us laughed our azz of and will def be back for more! Makes me think all the bad reviews are from people that were prob late, broke, and don’t understand that the comedians AND establishment got bills, so of course they don’t want u sipping water OR your own fifth of Bacardi(like the waisted redneck behind us was doin last night) PS-read the tips on the page, they were helpful!

Not sure how the improv ends up with an average rating of 3 stars. Tonight was the first time in a while but it delivers. The walk up is great. It’s in a spot surrounded by places in citiplace where you can«pregame». Heck right across is Blue Martini. Once inside we got a pretty good seat. Now it helps that I know some tricks to the comedy clubs. One is, don’t take the seat they tell you is there’s. Demand to sit where you feel comfortable. They will acquiesce. So we got the seat we wanted. We were served immediately. Again, it helps to know, GRAB a server because they are always under staffed compared to the number of tables. We ordered normal but another tip is, order all your food and drinks on the first try. You may not get their attention and service for an hour or so. I have been to all the improvs in south Florida and they are all more or less equally pretty great. Go for it. Last top: leave your email address and phone. They will send you free tickets all the time.
