Dixie Grill & Bar

I love this place. I go there all the time. Inside is heavily decorated with antiques of all kinds. Lots of cool knick-​knacks to look at! I usually sit outside because I bring my dog. This place even has a doggy menu! I like the buffalo chicken sandwich, the pork sandwich or just a good olé burger, but I’ve ordered almost everything on the menu and I’ve been pleased with it all!

My husband and I were in town on vacation and went to Dixie Grill and Bar. The décor is amazing with nostalgic pieces displayed in a fun and imaginative way. There even classic cars parked in the lot!
We were greeted by friendly staff and seated in a comfortable table near the bar. I must say I was impressed by the number of beers available on tap. They are all special Brews from around the world and we had a wonderful time sampling a few.
The real showstopper is the food though. We would expect to get simple pub fare at a place that highlights so many choices in drafts, however our food was far from simple. We started with the pretzels and beer cheese. OMG is all I have to say! We then had two entrées which included the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and grouper with spinach and a sweet potato hash side dish. Both were specials and not in the menu. For dessert we were treated with a brownie sundae, and that was one of the best desserts I have ever had. To be honest the meal was one of the best I have ever had! Compliments to Chef Chris Healey!!!
In the future if I am anywhere near this area again I will rent a car and drive to Dixie Grill and Bar!!!

Great place to stop for lunch leaving PBI heading to the Keys! Staff was welcoming and attentive and the burgers were delicious. Thanks for the warm Florida welcome.

Went on Unilocal searching for a place to eat near where I was and I came across Dixie Grill and Bar, we decided to give it a try. We were welcomed by a friendly man who brought us to our table. The service all together was very good and so was the food. I ordered the mahi sandwich and a side of Mac and cheese for only $ 1 extra (amazing!) and the other person I was eating with ordered the black and blue burger which he enjoyed a lot also. They also had a decent size selection of craft beers, but we didn’t give them a try. Very decent prices, our bill came out to $ 30. I’m glad I found this place and will go back soon!

Resturants very clean and interesting things to look at. Staff very friendly and I had a hamburger. It was the best hamburger I have had. Fries perfect. I look forward to my next meal here.

With a cool, roadhouse-​style vibe filled with vintage memorabilia signs and nicknacks, Dixie has a killer menu filled with delicious burgers and sandwiches, awesome buffalo wings and the best fried chicken fingers in the county. Their beer cheese dip is also quite mind-​blowing! With 28 craft beers available on tap — and constantly rotating, you will definitely get your fill of some of the best beers around… and some you may have not heard of yet!

Came for drink and think Trivia last Tuesday and had so much fun! It helps that our team won the $ 20 bar tab. I took my time perusing the craft beer menu and the first one I thought I’d try had no price listed. It was called seasonal relief and featured elderberries and goji berries. the waiter came back and warned me that it was $ 20 a glass… I passed. I bet I can try a bottle from total wine for a fraction of that.
Instead I ordered a local seasonal brew called nib smuggler (LOL) from funky buddha that I had tried before and I was super pleased. At 9pm it became time for reverse happy hour (yaaaaaay) and I got a buck off my next one. I have eaten here before and was pleased with my slightly salty fish sandwich (I am a fish sammich connoisseur)
I think the team is going back tomorrow to defend our crowd so hope to see ya’ll there!

Everytime I come to this little treasure of a spot I find out something new about it. It’s almost mechanical at this point when I’m driving down Dixie Highway either hungry or in need of a drink this is thee spot.
The craft beer list is extensive, so much so that they rotate their beers. The bar is always full of locals, your guy harvey, sports fishing boating types. I like that, it reminds me of everything that is awesome about Florida.
Don’t even get me started on the food. FRESH. A big variety and they have awesome gator tail!
I do love the service so. They are happy you can tell that their management cares because I almost always see the same servers and they’re very attentive.
Dixie Bar and Grill, you have my love and tum-​tum.

Amazing beer selection that is always changing… a couple weeks ago I had Goose Island Bourbon County Stout & Prairie Artesian Ales Bomb (Imperial Stout aged on coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and chili peppers). I really like that they have a live beer menu on their website. The atmosphere is very chill with cool décor and mostly locals. All the food looks great, I usually get the fried buffalo chicken sandwich with mac on the side. Everyone is very friendly, good food and great beer… makes the Dixie the perfect neighborhood bar!

Great local spot! Love seeing my childhood lunch boxes hanging from the ceiling. Jessie provides the best service!

Can’t say enough about how impressed I’ve been by the food here. Everything I’ve had has been stellar. The beer cheese dip is currently my favorite menu item. So good!
And *outstanding* craft beer selection on tap as well. These folks really have a great thing going at this little unassuming spot.
Time for me to up them to 5 stars. They deserve it.

Fun décor and great beer. Wife gets the Fried Chicken and I love the Fire Burger. Please print new beer lists — Not that expensive/​difficult to maintain.

I really enjoyed this place. Quaint place with servers and management that make you feel right at home. Way better than several of my last few late night stops at Dixie Hwy. restaurants.
The fried chicken was awesome. Didn’t need any additional seasoning, and came with homemade mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. An absolute bargain at $ 11.95.

Love at first site. From the sign that offers 26 crafts beers to the hanging lunch boxes and super cool décor. This cozy local spot offers fresh burgers and crispy wings. Stopped in for some lite munchies. So glad we did. Great service super cheap! Get the beer flight and burger sliders. They have a pet friendly outdoor covered patio. Looks like a lively place during peek season.

I was visiting with a longtime friend while down in the area for Father’s Day, and she knows how I feel about craft beer. She knows people who run/​work Dixie Grill & Bar and that they had recently revamped their beer selection. I could not have been happier she took me there!
We sat directly at the bar, which is where I prefer. I feel I usually get the best service there. Our bartender KNEW HER STUFF! I’ve tried so many beers over time but their selection still had some local wonderful stuff. She made sure to let us try things even before we ordered them, and I actually ended up going with her recommendations more often than not.
The food was also on point. I ordered a simple chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fries. I got the chicken lightly blackened and it was perfect. The fries were crispy and wonderful. The presentation of the food was nice as well. You eat with your eyes first!
I will for sure visit this gem with my friend again next time I am down to visit!

Love this place! We had the pork sliders and the beer cheese sauce was amazing. The craft beer selection did not disappoint. This local bar has an eclectic atmosphere and décor. Our waitress had great recommendations and was very friendly. Would come here again!

U went there a while ago before it was under new management and was completely flabbergasted at how bad it was.
Then one day we decided to go back and were blown away by how many improvements had been made. The beer selection by itself is great, but the fried chicken. Omg. It is to die for.
Glad we went back and we will continue to visit for great food and a great staff

Again the fish dip and craft beer selection can’t be beat in this neck of the woods. Did not have the wings this time instead opting for the Taco special– they were ok but I think they were trying to be too trendy. The guacamole/​mayo on the steak taco was way to mayo and really did not add to the flavor — a little overpowering. Could not taste the Chipotle sauce they stayed was on there as the gauc sauce overshadowed it. The Mahi taco tasted good, but seemed to be lacking that freshness you get with a little cilantro.
Still the best place I’ve found for food and beer in this town. Service at the bar from Libby was great. I still give this place 5 stars.

After another Unilocaler informed me that they got a new chef at Dixie Grill and the burgers were 5 star I decided to give them another shot.
Server was better then the last one but nowhere near attentive. Drinks were left empty and I waited over 10 minutes for a water. She was at least friendly.
Pretzel bread and beer cheese dip was really good but that was the best thing we had. Burgers were horrible. I had the fire burger and it was meh… With a name and warring that came with it I would have thought it was spicier. Fried jalapeño pieces were the only thing that saved it. My husband ordered the Texas burger and it was worse then mine. ZERO seasoning on the burger. It was bad and over cooked. You get the choice of one side with each burger and he went with the mac n cheese. What came out was a half cousin of buttery corkscrew noodles. No cheese just a creamy buttery sauce. Mac n cheese from a blue box would have been a step up in the cheese department. What’s even worse was that when we got the bill there was an up charge for the mac n cheese which was never brought up to us. I don’t care if you want to nickle and dime me but at least give me a heads up.
When our waitress came over to clear our plates she noticed that my husband had only taken one bite out of his burger (at least she noticed) but after she asked him what was wrong and he explained to her it was not good she never offered to replace it or take it off the bill. We paid and ran out as fast as we could.
Never never never again!
