So sad to see this restaurant closed. It was phenomenal!!!

Ceviche was so fresh and delicious! Seafood here is amazing. Coconut rice cannot be missed(and I don’t usually like rice!). Incredible service and relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely come here again!

Eclectic menu, the sea scallop carpacio is incredible, a lot of small plates to choose from. Somewhat pricey, but this is Miami. Great atmosphere and attentive service…

I sort of forgot that I had dined at this restaurant years ago when it was near the fountains further east on clematis. I remember thinking that the atmosphere was nice but that I could get better, cheaper, cuban food almost anywhere in South Florida(hashtag Blessed). I think that I have grown up and have a bigger dining budget because we had a truly lovely timing dining here en masse for a friends birthday. I love how much slower nice places are in the summer. You get all the service and none of the hassle. At the bar I had a red sangria. Yummy. Hubs was drinking the capirhinas. I tasted some tostones and some complimentary cuban bread. I have been erring on the side of vegetarianism lately so I chose the copa cabana veg dish and it was sensational. My carb hating friend ordered Paella and proceeded to eat all the seafood goodies off it and complain to the waiter that there was a bit too much rice which broke his heart. We skipped dessert but will be back here for a date night soon! Thanks Cabana!

Fantastic! Angelo was our server, and the manager Pedro — and they made us feel so welcome. Food was great! Highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently relocated from NY to South Florida. Cabana was one of my favorite restaurants in NY, so we started visiting the West Palm location. Pedro runs a tight ship. He always has a pleasant demeanor! Pedro, Angelo and Sergio are true professionals. They really know how to give a guest a warm dining experience. And to top it off the food never disappoint and is always consistent.

We frequent the Delray location all the time, but this day we were on Clematis St. and stopped in for some mojitos, which is the best I’ve had anywhere. This location did not disappoint, mojitos were delicious and the server/bartender was very friendly. As an added bonus, they feature a happy hour at this location which they do not in Delray so we got 2 mojitos for the price of one, bonus! The menu is exactly the same as Delray, although we didn’t eat this time since we had eaten recently. We’ll definately stop by again we we’re in West Palm, hopefully during happy hour!

We had a great experience! The food, service and atmosphere were beyond what was expected. From the moment we walked in the hostess and a gentleman greeted us, our water was constantly refilled and I never once had to refill my own sangria. Our waiter was Diego and he was very friendly, attentive and informative. I had the ropa veija and calamari and he had chicken with white rice and beans and no complaints at all! We will definitely return again! :)

We went here during a vacation stay in Singer Island. We we looking for something a little different and looked at reviews on Unilocal and TripAdvisor. This place seemed to do well and we decided to try it out. My wife and I had an excellent experience here. The drinks, food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. We had the plantain chips with guacamole, Empanades, and the Paella. Not only was the fod great, but there were generous portions, and had them for lunch the next day. We’d definitely come back when we’re in the area.

Service was short! Is everyone named Juan? Food was mediocre. Take the drive to Havana instead– it’s worth it.

The food here is mediocre. The menu is un imaginative and small. I wouldn’t go back, but it wasn’t awful. What was awful, though, is that we had a 7 pm reservation and the hostess saw us and continued to socialize and make us wait for 10 minutes and then seated us late for our reservation for which we showed up on time. Inexcusable. Seriously the worst restaurant behavior I have seen in a very long time.

Casually stopped in for a mojito one afternoon, it was so damn good, decided to stop in for dinner the next night. Service was great, food was amazing, and oh oh oh, more mojitos. The guava mojito is to DIE for. Real sugar cane, just enough rum, and yes, you can taste the guava. Visited several more times during our 4 week stay in CityPlace. Always came back for what I deem to be the best mojitos in WPB. And don’t forget to get the plaintain chips with garlic sauce. We parked ourselves at the bar each time, and no reason to leave for hours. Great place, kind service and pretty faces didn’t hurt!

Been here three times as it is right next to Oshea’s where I frequent for drinks, play darts etc. The first time I came I ordered food and a fountain soda, the soda being mostly ice in about 6 oz glass(at the bar) when I was finished in about maybe 1 minute they informed me I would be charged another 3 dollars for a refill. Um, no thanks. Second time I went with about 4 friends for dinner, dinner was decent but took about 40– 50 minutes to get food. The third and the last time(tonight) I went with my boyfriend to get to go from the bar. The bartender asked us for ID’s even though we were not ordering drinks, just food to go. I’m 29 and my boyfriend 30. I provided my ID since I do look young but my boyfriend had left his in the car. We were told we could not order. This place will go out of business in a matter of weeks. Horrible business and rude help. STAYAWAY

My fiancé really loves the food here, I think it’s okay. He likes cuban food! We had sinner here for his 30th birthday, 20 people. The service was a but slow, but I understand we were a lot of people. The server was very nice and catered to all my requests. Everything was a success, and they even let me decorate with balloons and confetti! It was a great experience and my fiancé was happy!

My wife and her sister’s often go here for drinks and appetizers. So one day we decided to go and eat dinner. I was very shocked that a place that looks so good and down town had such horrible over priced food. I don’t mind paying for good food but I was not satisfied with my meal. Drinks were good, service was top notch, everyone was friendly but my dinner just wasn’t that great. Not sure if I’ll give it another try.

You know how there are moments and occasions where something is so enjoyable that you do not want it to end? Might be a book you’re reading, a movie you’re watching, some event you are participating in or anything else where you are so in the moment and enjoying yourself that you want it to continue on and on? Well our dinner at Cabana Restaurant fits into that category. Down here on vacation with my daughters and their friends so there were five of us here. And even though we’ve been coming down to Palm Beach for 10 years, we always try to find some new places to go eat. Thanks to you Unilocalers!(Elana G and Ryan S in particular) my two daughters and their two friends and I headed off to Cabana Restaurant. What a find, what a time and what a place! We started with a Mojito Pisco or something like that for me which completely rocked. Then we had appetizers of some mushroom combo steeped in a savory broth with some grilled Cuban bread that I sopped into the mushroom mixture and sat back as the flavors exploded in my mouth. We all loved it including my younger girl who at 16 is finally beginning to try new food. We also had some fired plantains with a mojo sauce and guacamole which was also righteous. For entrees, two kids split the Churrasco skirt steak with chimchurri while my older daughter had the salmon with black rice and my younger one went with the grileld chicken breasts with plantains and rice. I opted for the Copa Cabana or something like that which was an amazing combination of shrimp in coconut milk, curry and other spices with Yuca, purple potatoes, broccoli, peppers and coconut rice. The combo of flavors and textures made me wanna get up a do a little Cuban dance! My older daughter’s friend — who has traveled the world — said it was the best meal she has ever had. And her skirt steak was amazing. Service was attentive. The manager checked on us, people stopped on the street to talk to us(I think it’s a little unusual for a single man to be with four normal teenage girls) and tried to figure out our relationship to each other. And the waiter was helpful in each of his suggestions. We have a few more days to spend down here at our timeshare before we roll back north to Naperville, IL and we may stop in here again to sample other stuff on the menu. So bottom line? If you’re near Cabana Nuevo Latina, stop in and savor your ability to partake in such a wide array of food choices, textures and flavors. You’ll be happy you did — and probably won’t want it to end either.

Dude, was a I worried! I found this restaurant here on Unilocal,it had some good reviews, I called and made a reservation, and THEN I looked at it on Google Maps Street View. It was not an impressive view.(And by now you should be able to tell that I am obsessive.) I needn’t have worried. You should know that this is on Clematis Street… along with about 3,213,130 other restaurants and bars. This one is worth getting to. One thing that surprised me is how empty the restaurant was on a Friday night. We didn’t need reservations, there was no wait, they were adequately staffed and the service was great. Our waiter was friendly and he knew the dishes well. We started with the Empanadas Jamaiquinas, which I enjoyed while sipping on one of the best Mojitos I’ve ever had(it had Peru in the name). You get four empanadas, which is generous compared with other restaurants in the area. They were hot, cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and I could eat them all day long. For the main course, my wife enjoyed the Mero Chileno, which she could not stop raving about. She’s a dedicated foodie, an excellent cook herself, and she was quite impressed with how well the sea bass was cooked. I am predicting that the mysterious«yuca manchego cheese mash» is something that she will be trying to duplicate here in the near future. I ordered the Salmon a la Zarzuela… a rather complicated dish with lots of my favorite ingredients in it… salmon… lobster… empanadas… shrimp… black rice… wait! what??? BLACK rice? What the heck is BLACK rice? Me: «I wonder how they made the rice black?» Wifey: «Squid ink.» Me to the waiter: «How did they make the rice black?» Waiter: «Squid ink.» I should know by now that wifey is always right. Anyway, my dish was excellent. I did add a little salt to the rice, but I would rather have to do that than to have it come out too salty. For dessert, we had flan. It was simple and delicious, just like flan is supposed to be. In conclusion, if you don’t mind spending a few bucks, and you’re looking for some excellent latin American food, especially seafood, this is the place!

What can I add about a restaurant that has so many reviews? I can only relate my experience and food choice. I went with my husband and another couple. The place was fairly empty at 5:30 pm on a Sunday, but filled up by the time we left. The atmosphere is pleasant with Cuban music playing in the background and the wait service was attentive and pleasant. Table linens and comfortable chairs added to the comfort. We did have to wait awhile for our drinks but we were in no hurry. The Mojitos we ordered may have taken some additional time to prepare. They were excellent for my taste, not overly sweet, but had plenty of lime and mint(and rum). We began with appetizers to share: Tapas de Hongos, mushrooms in a garlic sauce, and the Tostones Rellenos, fried green plantains filled with ropa vieja. Both appetizers were delicious and there was plenty to share for four people. For dinner, I ordered the Coco Cabana with Chicken, which was also excellent. It had a taste of curry and was spicy enough to make my lips tingle,(not a bad thing). The vegetables were cooked perfectly, even the broccoli. There was plenty of flavor and I had enough to take home. My husband ordered the Chuletas de Cerdo, two pork chops with a strong garlic mojo. Delicious! Fortunately, we had enough left from both meals to bring home for the next day’s lunch. Our friends ordered the Vegetarian Coco Cabana and the Arroz con Pollo. They were very happy with their choices and raved about the flavors. All four dinners came with rice and Cuban black beans which for me, is always the highlight of a Cuban meal. The presentation for all four meals was excellent as well. So, I would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you like the food from this region. Hope that helps!
