This place came recommended by a couple we met at another restaurant, who recommended that we try mom and pops. This place certainly didn’t disappoint. My hubby and I had the chicken chimichanga, and the food was flavorful and packed a serious punch. Also inexpensive which anyone can appreciate, and didn’t taste like inexpensive food. Food was also fast, was ready in under 8 minutes. Didn’t try their salsa bar but my hubby did and enjoyed it. Great place overall. Will be back!

Came here for dinner for the first time and it was alright. The Caldo de res which was beef soup with vegetables were not bad. I ordered nachos with cheese and guac and it was pretty plain nothing exciting. I think Taco Bell’s nachos were better. Had two tacos which was lengua and al pastor and they were so dry, bland and burnt and only took 1 bite out of each one of it. Ehh I dont know if Im ever coming back.

The number of stars was a tough decision. We really need a ½ star, so I could have gone with 3 ½. Since that isn’t possible, I’m giving it an extra half star just because it’s better than most of the Mexican restaurants we’ve found since we moved here. When it comes to Mexican food, I’m picky. We came here because of the price and the overall star rating. This is a tiny little place in an area that looks pretty sketchy, especially at night. Then again, maybe I was just thrown off by the cops arresting some guy in the parking lot. Either way, we reconsidered trying it, but it was, after all, an adventure night. I don’t think we’ve ever eaten in West Palm. The menu is posted on the wall, with pics of some of the dishes. You order and pay at the counter and then find a place to sit. There are about 8 booths, and a few tables. Most of their business seems to be take-out. I started off with a large horchata, which is rapidly becoming one of my favorite drinks. It was cold, sweet and had just the right balance of cinnamon. It’s the perfect drink to go with Mexican foods. I opted for combo #3, a shredded beef burrito and cheese enchilada. It took about 10 minutes for it to come out. The enchilada was better than most that we’ve had here. It could have used some cotija cheese, for a better flavor, but it was still good. As soon as I cut into the burrito, I noticed a wonderful aroma of slow cooked pot roast. This is always a good sign. The meat was tender, juicy and plentiful. It was also very lean, which is something that’s important to me. I hate finding big clumps of fat in my shredded beef. The rice and beans on the side lacked flavor but weren’t bad, they just needed more seasoning. There was a small salsa bar, with selections of mild, medium, medium hot, hot and extra hot. I tried the mild and medium. The mild was more of a pico than what I would call a salsa, but it was fresh and flavorful, without any heat. The medium was smoother and had a distinct warmth that probably increases the more you eat it. My husband said that the medium hot was a nice step up. It was nice to find a salsa bar with the heat levels properly labeled. The plate of food was less than $ 8, more than reasonable for the amount of food. What bumps this up the extra half star is that I have a soft spot for hard working family businesses. This one is definitely making an effort at providing decent food for a decent price.

Authentic, unbelievable good, and quick. It’s a small unit in a small plaza that you might miss driving by. But don’t. It’s too good to pass up. You go to the counter order your food, sit down and wait, served on plastic plates w/plastic utensils. The food itself is very very reasonably priced, very delicious, fresh, and authentic. Very pleased! I got carne asda tacos which were served on soft corn tortillas topped with diced Pico and guac served with a side of authentic Mexican yellow rice and smooth blended refried beans. They had a small salsa bar you could dish up ranging from chunky mild to dip your chips or spicy ones to top your meal with. They have a large photos of all of their food on the walls which was nice to see what it looks like in they have lunch specials as well. Uploading a pic of my food here too!

Very happy to make this my first stop upon landing at PBI one morning. Tiny strip mall authentic Mexican fare with kicking fresh salsa bar that was only missing slices of fresh limes. Even though it was breakfast time, I ordered 3 tacos. They overcooked the carne asada taco, the Barbacoa pulled pork was juicy and succulent, and the best was the crunchy fish taco with its white sauce, cabbage and fresh cilantro, the best of the 3 tacos that I had. I washed it down with a very good café con leche. Will go back for more burritos, tostadas, etc.

Wonderful, flavorful, INEXPENSIVE Mexican food. Bursting burritos, choice of salsas, WONDERFUL tongue tacos(I know, sounds gross, but they were great). Very casual — order at the counter, sit and eat or take-out. I’ll go back for this delicious, affordable food!!!

I stopped in this morning to order breakfast to-go for us. I got a potato, egg, and cheese burrito and huevos rancheros along with a Jarritos and horchata. The woman taking my order was friendly and attentive. There is a salsa bar to choose your own salsa(I got mild and medium). The food came out quick and was still hot when I got back to the hotel. Overall a great breakfast spot.

A hidden treasure in West Palm Beach. Mr Trump, I love Mexicans too. Especially their food. Ground beef Chimichanga combo platter with rice/beans, delicious. Jarritos soda selection(I had mandarin). This is your classic neighborhood food shack. It’s delightful simple décor fills you with surroundings of Mexico. Save on the airfare. Eat here. La comida que es tan bueno.

Really delighted to find a Mexican place in West Palm that didn’t break the bank. I love Mexican food and eat it several times a week, but don’t really want to shell out $ 20 every time I go. Unilocal led me to Anita’s and I am glad it did. The restaurant is located sort of near Westchase(so be aware of your surroundings) but is in a plaza sort of near the highway. The place itself isn’t very large but their menu offerings are pretty vast. Lots of tacos and different types of Mexican dishes. I ordered the fajitas. I really wanted just shrimp fajitas, but I guess they don’t do that here? So I had to get shrimp and chicken fajitas. Weird. The fajitas were prepared with loads of flavor which came out pretty quickly. You are given tortillas and sides of rice and beans. No cheese though. The fresh salsas at this place are really delicious. They don’t taste like they came out of a bottle and were really good to put on my fajitas! The service was fairly friendly but again when I asked why I could just have shrimp fajitas the woman working looked at me like I was crazy and gave no explanation other than they just«don’t do that.» Prices are pretty cheap. Would return to try out some tacos in the future and I would easily recommend Anita’s to anyone in West Palm looking for good Mexican food that won’t break the bank.

The takeout menus for Anita’s boasts California-style Mexican food, and it does satisfy the craving. The food is pretty good and reminded me of the delicious indulgences of Southern California, but it’s also not the most spectacular stuff I’ve had. The location is a fair drive from me, but I’d swing by again if I wanted some tacos and guac. There are a number of options on the menu, and the prices are quite reasonable.

The guacamole was great, simple but very tasteful. Small place, not the most clean but the food is delicious. I took chicken chimichanga and my husband a burrito. I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants but this has become my favorite. Not expensive at all! You must try it.

Though it may seem a bit random and unassuming/sketchy from the outside, Anita’s is a gem. Lots of simple tables, a counter where you order, menus displayed on the wall, and — most importantly — the salsa bar, which houses some of the best salsa I’ve had. Personally, I love the medium: just enough kick to not overwhelm the smokey flavor. As for the food, I ordered the fish tacos, which took a solid 10⁄15 minutes to arrive. Worth every minute. The fish was flavorful, fresh, and the tortilla was awesome too. Especially when highlighted by the salsa, some of the best fish tacos I’ve had.

Food is decent — but not worth going back :( From the outside this is our kind of place — we love finding hole-in-the-wall places that have to-die-for food. Sadly this place didn’t meet our expectations. The tacos were good — the only ones traditionally made were the goat and tongue — the other types as well as most of the menu is Americanized Mexican. Topped with tomatoes, shredded cheese etc… Other than tacos we had the Menudo soup — it was okay — had a good base flavor but too much of the fatty parts added in. Although we are a bit biased, because no ones makes this dish better than the hubby’s grandma! Also ordered the Chile Rellenos — so disappointed. Looks like they used shredded cheese instead of a mexican cheese and it was swimming in it. The sauce however, was excellent — had great flavor and heat! Overall the experience was okay — but with so many other mexican places to try and a couple already on our go-to list — this one doesn’t make the cut.
