ABC Fine Wine & Spirits

Nice clean and new store, but limited wine selection, stiff prices, mostly the widely distributed brands. Poor selection of roses. Okay prices on hard liquor.

Excellent wine selection and decent prices. If you are one of those people who don’t know which wine to buy if you’re giving it as a gift, or for a particular dinner ~ then, this is the place to go. I happen to be one of those people who thought she knew quite a bit about wines. ABC on Dixie Highway has a wine consultant, Richard ~ and what I don’t know about wines could fill a book! This guy is all over it. I’ve never had anything but smiling cashiers who are extremely helpful. The store is always clean and well lit when I’ve been here. You can sample wines before you buy them and it’s about the best selection of Scotch and high-​end Whiskey you’re going to find unless you visit «The Island.» (Why go there? Scotti’s prices are ridiculous. Unless you’re an Heiress — just stick to ABC! Don’t pay for the zip code!)

Giving this the one star because I have to. Went in a little before nine with a group of friends and the manager wouldn’t serve any of us because one of my friends didn’t have her license. We didn’t realize the hour and asked her to hold our stuff and said we’d be right back. She agreed to hold our stuff and didn’t say anything about the time or that they’d be closing. When we returned five minutes after nine her and the coworker she was with refused to look up and acknowledge the fact that we were there knocking on the door. Wouldn’t even give us a look or explanation when we could see our bottles sitting on the counter. Knowing that the liquor law allows sales till 10, we would’ve at least appreciated an acknowledgment. I’ve never received such terrible customer service. I’ve been a regular customer for the last couple months but now I will be taking my business elsewhere.
