Modell Stores

Early today, one of my softball teammates and I went to Sports Authority to buy softball cleats. Unfortunately they only had one pair of women’s cleats in stock. Afterwards we drove right on over to this Modells, which I personally didn’t even know was there until she showed me. Great location with a parking lot right around the corner. The store had two floors. The first floor had different sport related clothing and the second floor consisted of footwear and sports equipment. Very small compared to other sports stores in the area. For footwear they had tons of options and my teammate found exactly what she wanted right away. While trying in her cleats I walked around a bit, mainly to check out their bat selection which was extremely limited– three Easton’s and maybe two types of Worths. My teammate was also looking to buy a bat and those that were there did not state the type of easton or worth bat they were. I asked for assistance and the man on that floor was professional, helpful and had the proper knowledge to answer the questions I was asking him. We did not wind up buying a bay because they did not have what we were looking for, but the help was appreciated. I looked around a but more before I left and noticed they had a decent selection of products to choose for younger kids and coaches (soccer, football, weightlifting, baseball etc). Checking out was also easy and quick. Overall, I consider this to be a decent place depending on what it is you are looking for. If your a parent, perfect place for kids, if your an adult, fantastic footwear but don’t come here expecting to buy outstanding equipment.
