Se trata de un restaurante de comida española. Muy buena comida, con sabor a casero. La atención es excelente y esmerada y los precios muy accesibles.

I picked this place to have the Christmas dinner for my job. What a bad experience we had. There was this annoying little flies all over the table. When we asked for the menus they were dirty and one of them has oil on it. I have to asked the server for another one. They have this old curtains and I saw cockroach walking on it. Servers didn’t say excuse me for anything like to pick up the plates, put water on glass. We were talking under the waiter arms. Bad bad bad. Food and drinks were ok. Place needs a renovation or very good clean up asap…

Dropped in on Friday night. Try the chuletas they’re delicious! They make your sangria to your liking(sweet or not). Friendly staff, comfortable environment. Food portions are large and sides are equally delicious Some Friday nights they have had a lady preform and sing, it could be a little loud and show like, meaning you can’t hold a conversation and are asked to participate as the lady walks around(Not sure what happened to her because she wasn’t there) but if anything you can ask to be seated on the other side

I have been eating here on and off since the place opened. We usually stop in every month or so. We have gone to many parties here and celebrations, retirements you name it. The food is good with some exceptions, the daily specials are good and if Sea Bass is available it’s a must. Great ambience, loud and lively bar, and a regular bar crowd. Parking on site

Disappointed … $ 40 lobster tails dry and super sized my servings for a better tip. Should try though. Used to love this place

The food here is generally good if a bit overpriced but the paella is horrible. I get invited here for parties from time to time and have had problems with the paella every time. The mussels are not fresh and they smell like they are rotten. They literally stink up the whole place. I sent back the paella and they would not take it back and they made the people who had the party pay for the replacement dish. This is inexcusable.

Best Paella I ever had! Great for small parties in their downstairs hall. I went there for a graduation party and a baby shower and had a great time each time. Great sangria also!

Sitback and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner. Some friends recommended the place and stated the seafood was ample and fresh. We were not disappointed. The food was served hot and fresh. The drinks were also ample. We stayed 3 hours! Friendly staff. Nice unexpected indulgence.

I hesitate in writing this review because I don’t want this place to become a hot spot but at the same time… I feel the need to profess my love for this place from the proverbial mountain top. First of all, they have THE best sangria anywhere. It is full of apple and orange slices, and for as strong as it is, it goes down way to easy. Not uncommon for my girlfriends and I to polish off a pitcher+ at lunch. Second, their pulpo is legit. Just like enjoying pulpo in Spain, minus the part when you walk into the parking lot and realize you’re on JFK West. Anyhow, they’ll serve it with either chips or steamed potatoes, so good. Pechuga villaroy is served tapas style, like little chicken nuggets of béchamel deliciousness(I don’t eat meat but when I did, I enjoyed pechuga villaroy immensely). The bartender during the day is super sweet, but as a unit, everybody there is great. Another word on the sangria: they offer it in white, too. I can only vouch for the red but I’m sure the white is awesome. I also like the olive oil/spice mixture they serve with the pan tostada… I could be here every day. Vegetarians — be sure to ask about what goes into the soup, because they’re a little ham-happy here.

This is a serious staple in the community. I grew up with my dad being a waiter here for a few years and then us turning into permanent patrons. It serves solid Spanish food like paella, seafood, chorizo, and of course some delicious sangria. My favorite are the shrimp in garlic sauce and the seafood paella. Most weekends you will find this place crowded with regulars from the community, or even a baby shower/wedding. The prices are what a regular Spanish restaurant is, so if you are used to cheap meals from other places like the Cuban or Colombian places nearby expect to pay a little more, but the quailty is excellent. Some of the servers here have been working at this place since 1980s and really know their stuff. It has a classy ambiance(but old school) and is great for a date place or just a nice Sunday Lunch. They do offer parking, but it is very limited so be prepared.

Service is a little sub par. Took forever to get my check. Music was obnoxiously loud… Food was okay. I have passed by this place for 30 years of my life n im glad to say I crossed it off my list. Not the atmospheric comfortable sitdown dinner I was expecting.

Been coming here for years. Probably since 1989. The menu is the same and it’s delicious. Pollo Vicaroy to me is the best app. The paella is always on point. The waiters are old school. Service is to the T. Will continue to come here probably for ever.

Not going back again. It took more than 30 mins for our food to come, and the meat was dry and smelled disgusting. How could filet mignon be gamey??? I do not understand. If a chef’s special was that bad, I assume everything else would be the same or even worse. Well the service was okay and I liked their mashed potatoes but that was it.

Not a fan of their sangria. We had for an appetizer a huge portion of chorizo sausage, which were very good. The chicken and rice, and black beans and rice were very good as well. Kids had chicken fingers which were good too. Server was attentive and very nice. We will go back for more.

I had the paella and it was salty, not a big fan of this place, very pricey and I leave still hungry lol not good. Overrated and I don’t appreciate how loud it is in here, seems like it turned into a night club. Idk. Weird I give it 3 stars because I liked my drink it was pretty good, the service was okay, kind of unorganized

Came with my wife and family to celebrate Mothers Day and were very happy we did. We started with a pitcher of sangria which was fruity and refreshing. As appetizers we had the shrimp and garlic along with Spanish sausage. Both were excellent. The best was yet to come; the paella and the skirt steak were delicious. The steak was tender cooked perfectly medium rare. The service was excellent considering how busy they were for mothers day.

Definitely worth going too. Order their calamari and churrasco. The one waiter we had was pretty nice. Always was ontop of us but not in an annoying way. If you needed something someone was always attending you. Overall a good experience.

So, Meson is another one of those places that has been around FOREVER, but people tend to forget. It’s been the place for many a baby shower, family meal and general celebration. Meson is always consistent, reasonably priced, and delightfully old school. Not only is it a great place to be(service is solid, and the dark wood walls are nostalgic), but the food’s as great for takeout as it is in-house. Every time my family wants to have a gathering but wants to avoid the crazy amounts of cooking, I order up a couple of trays of their excellent, traditional and(here’s that word again) CONSISTENTLY great paella Valenciana(with lobster, of course). Not only does the paella rock every single time, but they include salad(a simple green salad, but welcomed nonetheless) with a tasty house dressing, bread, and thinly sliced fried potatoes(thicker than a standard chip, but definitely not fry thickness). Deliciousness PLUS value? I’m sold. Just last night, in fact the Mister and I were craving some of their paella. I called in an order(plus an appetizer sized order of mejillones en salsa verde — mussels in green sauce), and was told that we’d be ready to roll in minutes. Sure enough, everything was hot and fresh upon my arrival. There was nothing appetizer-sized about the mussels — this was literally a huge tray of these bad boys! In fact, the tray was the same size as the tray of paella! The best part? The fact that the mussels, paella, salad, bread and potatoes all cost only $ 33 bucks and left us with leftovers even after both of us(who, admittedly, were starving pre-meal) were done. SCORE. I’m going to reserve the possible 5th star for a dine-in experience… but for now, a VERY hearty 4 stars to the fine folks at Meson.
