Probably one of the best BBQ places I have ever been too. I am not much for BBQ like my own but this is out of this world. Everything is good can’t go wrong.

Very good and friendly service. The BBQ sandwich is prepared Arkansas style(i.e. on a butter toasted bun), though there is too much sauce and the bun is not large enough for the amount of meat provided. An overall good sandwich, but it does not stand out particularly.

Just a brief pit stop here on a road trip from Texas to Indiana. All I ate was the BBQ shoulder sandwich. Hard to describe how delicious and satisfying it was. The pork butt was tender but with a tasty, smoky crust. The sauce had just the right sweet-hot balance. Cole slaw was excellent too. Very basic establishment, as it should be. Friendly and clean. Go there!

Absolutely, hands down, the best ribs and catfish I’ve ever had. Hands down. The place is a throwback and you gotta love people who keep it real. The drive to Willie Mae’s was worth it — I was in Memphis TN and drove here. If you can get to this place, get here. Their sauce is amazing.

Fantastic chopped pork barbecue sandwich and the best BBQ beans I’ve ever had. Potato salad & Cole slaw also very good. We were too full for desert so got a piece of buttermilk pie to go. If I had known how good it was I would have bought the rest of the pie. I’ll have to time my next trip through Ark to make sure I can eat there again.

As I was travelling in Memphis(Tennessee), I crossed the state lines to Arkansas(in a town very informatively called West Memphis) and found a restaurant with the best Pork BBQ ever. I kid you not. The meat was succulent and tender, just at the point where it still sticks to the bone. Yet, when you bite into it, it falls right off. The sauce is just your ordinary BBQ sauce, but what makes it so unique is that it has been simmered into the meat for such a long time that it doesn’t have that sticky thickness to it. Instead, it melts into a rich sauce as it absorbs the juices from the meat. The best part of the restaurant? It’s such a hole in the wall place with only 2 men taking care of the restaurant. There are about 3 tables and both were watching football when I walked into the room. One of them stood up to serve and then went back to watching the game. That’s when I feel I’m really in the South — It’s just like walking into someone’s home and being served straight in their kitchen.

Excellent BBQ and friendly service. We showed up here early — something like 10:30 or 11 in the morning and were treated to excellent BBQ. Went for the ribs which were very meaty and succulent, with a good rub and sauce. The baked beans were absolutely delicious — a highlight — and the sweet tea was also excellent. Certainly authentic and the two guys working there, one of whom was very probably Willie Mae, were very friendly, to the point of warning us where on the road cops were going to be on our way to Nashville! Overall a very good, family run BBQ joint. Recommended.

Unfortunately regular business hours aren’t on the menu here. Went out of our way for a closed sign at 6 pm on a Thursday. Wound up at a mediocre Krystal instead :(

Great family restaurant. Excellent BBQ — rib sandwiches were exceptional. And the tea — it’s the REALTHING — deep, dark tea sweatened to perfection. And don’t forget the buttermilk pecan pie.

Barbecue in Dallas is such a different thing from Memphis style barbecue. We focus on brisket with a thick sweet sauce, they focus on tender, melt in your mouth, connective tissue dissolved pork shoulder in a light, tangy sauce. On a toasted bun. Willie Mae’s does all that perfectly. I could drive to West Memphis, Arkansas and never even venture into overpriced Memphis, TN and go home completely satiated with the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had. They also have amazing sides and very good pies. Best of all, the gentlemen that work there are accomodating and very friendly, albeit a tad puzzled when I tell them I’ve driven 7 hours just for their sandwich.
