My husband and I were driving back to Virginia from Texas after Thanksgiving and stopped at a hotel in West Memphis. The guy at the front desk recommended Margarita’s, which had only opened a few weeks earlier – looks like it used to be a casino, it is HUGE. Anyway, what a nice surprise– long menu with all the traditional Mexican dishes plus some riffs, and some really good Margaritas. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa tastes fresh and has a nice kick(could be hotter for us, but oh well). The portions were huge and everything was delicious, especially the beans that came in a little pot with my carne asada. Literally the best beans I have had in a Mexican restaurant. The décor is nice – murals and heavy carved Spanish chairs – although it is a bit cavernous. Very good service. If you get stuck in West Memphis, go have a Margarita!

Yuck! Don’t waste your time or money! I have had better Mexican food from TV dinners, and better service from at the DMV! We stopped in on our way to North Carolina and wished we didn’t!

For my class reunion, we spent the first night hanging out at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant. I started with a margarita, of course. It was tasty, but not very strong. They give you chips and salsa, like most Mexican restaurants. My friend ordered the cheese dip. It was delicious. I’m addicted to that cheese. Of course, they have standard Mexican fare. I ordered Eduardo’s special. It is rice with onions and peppers and your choice of meat. I got all three: chicken, steak, and shrimp. The best part is that it is topped with cheese sauce! So good! I can’t remember the price, but it’s under $ 10.

I had the Chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas. Massive portions so my wife and I could easily split the fajitas and walk away stuffed. Super friendly staff and the food came out quick and hot.

Margaritas has been going down hill lately, but still a great place to eat. The white cheese dip and steak fajita nachos keep me going back.

I came here for my niece’s 13th birthday. Regarding the food, it was just ok. BUT the fact that they were able to accommodate such a large party(of mostly 13 year old girls) and in such a friendly way PLUS the karaōke earns this place a solid 3 stars. Plus, it’s mexican food in Arkansas so you can’t have ridiculously high expectations of the food, anyway.

This place was ok. Better than I expected for this part of the country. We ate dinner here one night while staying in a hotel across the street. It is big and decorated with your typical murals and other bright, colorful accoutrement. There is a good-sized dance floor, with Mexican murals and also Elvis featured prominently on the walls. I had a margarita and something else I can’t remember. It was pretty good. My daughter scarfed her quesadilla like she hadn’t eaten in days, which is always a good sign. If I ever find myself in that neck of the woods again, I’d stop back in Margaritas again.

If you’re looking for standard, generic Mexican food as a roadside stop, this is it. The place is deceptively large, with a huge karaōke dance floor in the middle. Even though it wasn’t too busy when we were there, the service was a bit slow, as compared to other similar Mexican places. The service was friendly, though, including a free replacement meal when one of us spilled our plate. Our children enjoyed the quesadillas and other said the fajita burrito was delicious.

I live in LA and eat mexican food all the time. My band and I ate dinner here tonite and everyone was very happy. Service was slow to start, but once they finally took our order everything came out quickly. I had the carne asada(sp?) burrito. I thought it was great. Price was reasonable. Good stuff for this small town. Recommended.

This is a starter for the group often when going to the dog track. Karaōke in the back room can be a pretty entertaining thing to watch for few minutes. The food is not great. Not terrible. The Eduardo special is actually good and enough food for at least two.(Chicken breast, rice, cheese, and vegetables) The salsa and chips are pretty good and they make strong drinks. My experience is that the service is OK and usually nice enough.

The location of this restaurant is near the Southland Gaming and Dog Track close to the Ingram exit on the Interstate. I’ve been here on several occasions with my co-workers and friends. I always order the Shrimp Fajita Quesadilla because the veggies are perfectly cut and sauteed with the shrimp, with a side order of Guacamole salad. I am never let down when I eat here. The staff are friendly, prompt and courteous. I hear that they have Karaōke on the weekends, but I haven’t tried that, yet. LOL.

While this isn’t great mexican food, it’s much better than at ameca’s & Pancho’s. The salsa is kind of wimpy and the tortilla chips were stale. the soft chicken tacos were OK, but wouldn’t make the grade in California, New Mexico, Arizona or Texas. If I get a craving for mexican on this side of the river, this is where i will go.

Just across the Hernando-Desoto Bridge from Memphis, makes Margarita’s a great little lunch or happy hour destination for downtowners. It’s a fairly large restaurant with a lot of seating, both in the front and in the back. So you rarely have to wait, a nice benefit if you’re in a hurry or on your lunch hour. The food is traditional Mexican with favorites such as enchiladas, tacos and burritos. But I always get the fajitas. They do a great version of them here — piled high and piping hot with fresh everything. The margaritas are good and the wait staff is friendly.
