Absolutely amazing service AND haircut! My sons first time and Damien was a trooper! Aiden wouldn’t sit, wasn’t happy with the toys or TV, so Damien brought out the bubbles(which the receptionist happily came over to assist with), and it was much better from there! These people know what they’re doing and they do it all with a smile on their face! Highly recommended!!!

Went in for my sons first haircut. The stylist(can’t recall her name) was a doll. Salon was clean and well kept, toys to play with as well as to purchase. For those going for the first haircut, they do save a snip-it of hair and take a pic to put in a cute little display(like the ones you’d get from santa). Overall great experience.

our two kiddos absolutely LOVE getting their hair cut at sit still. charleston(four next week) our daughter, will actually allow her hair to be washed and blown dry/styled — which is a huge deal! our son huston(one year old), has painfully screamed through all of his haircuts… that is, until he jumped right into the taxi seat at sit still — the rest was a breeze! thank you for providing such a kid friendly atmosphere that makes children feel comfortable and important!

This place is great. My daughter was able to watch a DVD during her visit, which she thought was great. She had a haircut and pedicure. The lady we saw did a great job with my daughter’s hair and even gave us some great suggestions for getting knots out. We brought home some leave in conditioner and now my daughter is doing much better with brushing her hair!

Another successful visit! I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just catching the kiddos on a perfect day ;) Fast, friendly service. Lots of fun DVDs for the kids to watch. This is the second time I’ve received an appointment the same day that I called. I highly recommend this place to anyone with kiddos who wants an enjoyable hair experience.

We have been taking our now 23 month old son to see Damian for his last three cuts. Damian does an amazing job and he’s so patient and friendly. Although our son screams and fights the cut, damian can do the job quickly and yet so precise. We love taking him to sit still!

I didn’t expect to ever reach a point where I would have to pay $ 20 for my normally well behaved child to get his hair cut, however here we are! After several attempts to trim his hair at home, a trip to my regular stylist that ended in tears and several strangers thinking he was a little girl I finally broke down and made an appointment. He sat in a little yellow taxi cab, with a lolly pop, watching a movie, holding a toy monkey, and he was an angel. His hair looks great, the stylist moved fast and now I can say he has his first big boy haircut.

I’ve brought my son here five times, including his first haircut. All of the girls have done a great job and the only time he’s cried is when it’s time to leave. They have great toys and DVDs to distract the kids and fun, secure chairs for them to sit in(a plane, taxi, convertibles, etc.). I love the selection of products(Original Sprout, yay!) and funky toys. We keep coming back even though we could pay half as much somewhere else. It’s worth the $ 20 cut!

These folks know their business. I don’t have,(or need) one particular sylist, everyone I’ve had cut my daughter’s hair has been fantastic. This last visit though made me come to write a review. My 3 year old had long hair but hated having me brush it or do anything to it so I decided it was time to chop it off. I took a few pictures off Pinterest of an inverted bob/stack bob(?) and showed it to our stylist. 15 minutes later we were rocking the cutest haircut ever, and it keeps getting better honestly as her hair grows out, it is just adorable. The stylist was lightning fast, kept my daughter engaged, and gave us the perfect haircut. Highly recommend Sit Still!!!

I take my almost two yr old son to get his haircuts with Julie, we just love her. She’s amazing with him and patient and makes him feel very comfortable. Perfect place for kids haircuts and they have beautiful hair bows for little girls. If your looking for big gorgeous bows, this is the place!!! I would highly recommend this place especially for first haircuts, they make the experience soooo special.

We recently took our 11 month old here for his first haircut. Friends and family didn’t seem to understand why I wouldn’t just cut his hair myself but I am so glad we took him! We had such a wonderful experience! Our son sat in a little airplane and the woman cutting his hair turned Elmo on for him on the tv at her station. She was so patient with him as he is very squirmy. She did a wonderful job on his hair on upon completion, they take a photo and put it, and a lock of his hair in a little keepsake booklet for you to take home. It was $ 20 for the haircut and worth every penny! Although our son won’t remember, it was a fun experience and we will definitely be returning!

Tried this salon due to the high ratings, but was basically traumatized today. Where do I begin? I do not know the name of the stylist unfortunately. I am breathing hard and am very tense writing this review. I showed her a picture of my son’s hair that I wanted her to replicate. He has a lot of hair and it was very long and full. I wanted her to cut it like Elvis’s hair and asked her to keep the front length to wave up 2 inches and gradually layer it shorter to the back. I wanted the sides and back trimmed. She began by cutting off his front hair and made it the same length all over on top. She said it needed to be that way when I asked. My husband was trying to calm my 11 month old son down from crying. We understood it was hard for her since our son was crying and moving. I was coming and going trying to occupy our 2 year old daughter sitting in a chair next to us. I was back and forth wiping his nose. She recommends that we cut his hair in stages since he was so upset. Good idea, note taken, but it would have made sense if you had started in the back and sides since now you are asking us to leave with our son with a mullet. I was shocked. I asked her to try to cut around his ears and to please trim the back. She kept arguing saying that was his baby hair and it would be crooked. Crooked was better than a mullet so we asked her to trim it. Now it looked like a blunt cut. I picked up a comb and asked her to trim it with a buzzer. She kept asking with shears or clippers? I told her I didn’t know what it was called but obviously since she used the shears already, the clippers. You can put different length attachments on them, right? I asked her to thin it out with clippers and a comb. She kept arguing about every step. I told her to PLEASE stop telling me it won’t look good and to please just trim his back hair. Well, she buzzed him straight up all the same length with the shortest length attachment possible. I begged her to stop and she said she needed to even it out — well, she didn’t blend it with shears, she buzzed up further and further trying to «blend» it. A seasoned stylist would have blended it with shears. Two girls that worked there giving each other looks that I can clearly see. Were they judging us cause we were holding our son that was crying from minute one and was continuing the haircut? We were horrible parents for not stoppig and coming back later and leaving the salon with a mullet? Were they judging what the so-called stylist was doing to my beautiful son’s hair? What? Are we the only parents that has an 11 month old son that cries while getting his haircut? What would they do in this scenario? Help us! Don’t look us with glaring eyes right in front of us. We can see you in the mirror nonetheless hear you as you are standing next to us. To make it worse, my husband accidently gives a 50% tip on a $ 20 haircut due to just wanting the horrible experience to end. It was a horrible experience for all, we agree. my question: why are we even having this discussion over and over again? Answer: cause she didn’t know to trim the bottom back with a comb and clippers then blend it into the rest of the hair. I am seriously traumatized going over and over in my head the event. She might has well completely buzzed his head. His bangs no longer go up its so short– ¼ inch now versus 2 inches I asked her to keep. Thank goodness his hair will grow back and hopefully enough so he will look normal or have enough hair to shampoo. Its short as a five o’clock shadow 75% around his head. I pray he will look normal before his first birthday party in a month. I am just sick to my stomach.

i’m not a salon type of person but it is a nice place for hair cuts for little kids. didn’t grow up with a sister so don’t really understand the appeal of salons… but had a birthday party for my little girl there recently and all the little girls seemed to love it and they were super cute. got their hair, makeup, and nails done. the workers were all super nice.
