We have gone to Nineteen 33 more than a dozen time, Food is always great and drinks are prefect, service is a 10+. We go here once a week and have never been disappointed. Great tap selection too.

I’m giving the Taproom 5 stars because it seems to do exactly what it is trying to do, provide a great atmosphere with an excellent beer selection, cocktails and food a step above typical«bar fare». The service was excellent, and I’m looking forward to coming back.

This was our second visit. The service was bend over backwards phenomenal. They listened to me and anticipated my needs. Outstanding. I ordered the burger and it made me remember what burgers are supposed to be like. Juicy, meaty, with a fine supporting cast of condiments and bun. My wife ordered a salad of some kind and said it was delicious, but I was preoccupied with my burger so I’ve lost the details. For dessert, I ordered a Basecamp Smore Stout. Our server roasted a marshmallow table side. Beer selection was fun and interesting — but the service, ambiance and food set this place far ahead of other local tap rooms.

I love this place! Fantastic prohibition inspired speakeasy atmosphere combined with great beer, cider and wine. Add to that the seating selection was ostentatiously rich, luxurious and lavish. Service was perfect! Prompt professional. Good was fantastic as well as quickly prepared and served. I’ll be back!!! A+++

This is the coolest bar to hit Willamette. Prohibition era(ala 1933, the year prohibition ended) drinks and waitstaff dress the part. Immediate service, and nice moderate-high end selection of bourbons and appropriate cocktails. It is a taproom so, of course there is beer(yawn).

Now you can go to Old Willamette area and get great beers! The idea of this place is great! Everyone thinks the name is the address which is kind of funny! It’s nice to see they have a full bar(Limited selection but good selection!) They also have food, portions are too small, and a bit on the pricey side but the wings are good. Service has been pretty good. Hoping the food side of this place gets better as it could take over the area for being great! Bigger portions, bigger burgers…

I like the atmosphere. It reminded me of a speakeasy when I walked in. Old décor and well dressed bartenders. Upon entering there was some older music on, I am thinking it was Sinatra, but I didn’t really pay attention. I was taking in the atmosphere and talking with friends, trying to decide where to sit. I looked over their tap list. They had some really good selections of beer and cider. I saw some stuff I had never even heard of. It was cool to be able to sample a few of the unknown beverages and the tender was happy to grab a sample for patrons. They have quite a few beers. I can’t recall exactly but I would say high 20’s. I sampled a couple of appetizers and wasn’t extremely impressed by price or flavors. If I were to return I would likely avoid the menu and go straight for the tap list. Then I started picking up on things. If you are going to go for a 30’s theme, how about some consistency? I think the digital boards take away from the look. The theme they use for these boards make them nearly worthless anyhow. Very basic. If you are going to use digital boards you might as well use the system everyone else seems to have. It is interactive and friendly on the eyes. Now, another«Why?» If you are a «Taproom» why do you have liquor? I can understand a couple types of wine on hand. But a basic bar is just confusing. You don’t have a taproom, you have a bar. Then the music keeps changing over to different genres, or categories. Adult contemporary, 90’s? and some other basic non-offensive channels. But again, it is digital. Maybe I am too stuck on the décor/theme aspect, but it was just segmented and awkward. Then to top it off, a Kramer poster in the restroom. Not a painting, but a framed Seinfeld poster. I guess I don’t get it.

I came here the first day it opened to the public. I loved the atmosphere of the place. The wings were awesome and the drinks were great. My friend loved the beer collection and the manager said that if there’s a beer that you want, make a suggestion on their FB. I think for the first night they did a great job!

Nineteen 33 is off to a roaring(30’s) start. After months of anticipation, the Old Willamette district has a new watering hole. Every night has seen a flurry of activity as locals celebrate the holiday season while quaffing one of the 33 ales and hard ciders on tap( ). As a hard cider fan, I’m particularly thrilled that 4 of the taps currently contain different varieties of cider. In addition to the large beer menu, they also offer a small selection of wines and ‘Libations’(craft cocktails). While beer is the star of the show, they have a small, but interesting seasonal food menu with a mix of starters, small and large plates. The décor is dark woods and low lighting and a mix of seating areas from bar stools along the copper penny bar, to high-backed arm chairs, elevated tables and group seating on couches. Very much a gentleman’s parlor vibe and no minors are allowed. It has a nice sense of space, but at least in the early days, gets crowded quickly. I can tell you the worst seats, and the ones I’d avoid, are the low chairs along one of side of bar. The seating is uncomfortable and you feel like you are under the bar, without being soused. We moved as quickly as we could when a table opened up and had a much better experience. As is typically the case when a business is opening, our service wasn’t great. It is clear they still need to work on training(it was our barman’s first day), timing food delivery and attention to detail. We arrived at the tail end of other groups placing orders and had to wait at least 45 minutes for the first food items to hit our table. Even though we ordered a starter, the beautifully plated Caesar Cups, they were forgotten. So we received our large plates first, sans silverware, then had to dispatch the server to check on the missing starter. The food was all good, so(almost) worth the long wait. Orders are placed at the bar, so there is a bit of up-and-down and interacting with various employees to place orders, make corrections, etc. Since the business is brand new, it would have been nice to have a manager or owner checking in and moving things along. Another bit of feedback that the business may choose to implement or not, would be that I would like to see a few more serving size options. Because they have 33 taps, having beer/cider samplers, where you can get smaller portions of several beers in a flight or just order your ale by the glass would be great. At the moment, the choices are 16 or 20 oz. sizes. We had a good time, even with the service miscues, and are thrilled to have Nineteen 33 in our little town. And while I love a place to watch a game, that is already covered by ‘Lil Cooperstown, J. Willy’s and La Fiesta, so I enjoy the quieter subdued vibe here sans big screens. And bonus points for the ‘portrait’ in the bathroom. I’m looking forward to more visits and to see how they grow the business.
