We have not been here for years… I know why, it is still not good. Let’s start with. The crab cakes, really? They are the size of a fifty cent piece and had NO flavor, the hamburger was alright, nothing to die for, squash ravioli in a soup base? NOT a fan… our opinion… tiny portions, over priced and you guessed it we will not be back…

Great spot for a nice long lunch. Cod in the fish in chips was tasty. Service couldn’t have been better. There may have been a mac n cheese we split as an appetizer that had a nice crispy(aka delicious) top.

My new year’s eve dinner at Five-O-Three? A wilted salad, under-cooked monkfish tails, and an entrée that never showed up. My wife and I walked out after waiting more than 90 minutes for our third course. Meanwhile, our waiter was not even slightly apologetic. In fact he seemed relieved to have one less table to worry about serving. And, he didn’t comp us when charging for the food we had already eaten. Never again.

The service is so bad and it takes forever to get the food, which is really mediocre.

I’d like to give a review on the food… but I never GOT the food. I called in an order to go & they said it would be 30 minutes. I drive through traffic at 5:00 on a Friday night, which took 40 minutes & I get there & the Hostess walks away, comes back 10 later & tells me it would be another 20 minutes. Clearly, she didn’t place my order & she didn’t really feel all that bad. 60 minutes to wait for a salad & burger is a bit insane. Sadly, this was my first attempt at eating here as I live nearby but was also my last attempt. If I was a Manager there, id be mortified at the«service». ZEROSTARS.

My husband and I have visited Five-0-Three many times because we loved the eccentric menu options and the price was fair…5 stars worthy. After waiting 2 long months, we finally had a date night and ventured across town to eat at our favorite restaurant… and were beyond disappointed with the restaurant. The menu lacked any imagination and even the specials, steelhead($ 27) or bacon wrapped filet($ 26) were boring. We ordered the crab cake appetizer(ands we had the last visit) and each ordered the filet. While waiting, we had a glass of wine. which was small considering the price… and bread. I was shocked to see the bread was store bought and pulled from a plastic bag to be warmed in the oven, but bread is bread for the most part… right? Crab cakes arrived and looked like a heap of fried half dollars. They were tasteless and NOTHING compared to our last visit. I’m not even convinced there was crabmeat in them. Our food arrived and my jaw nearly fell into my plate. The filet was tiny(looked like the ones available at Safeway), 2 charred pieces of broccolini, and a small(1⁄8 c or less) of parsnip/blue cheese purée. Definitely NOT worth $ 26…not even close. We asked for the dessert menu and passed because like the main menu, it too lacked imagination. I’m not sure if there was a change in management or chef… but whatever happened, the change has moved this from our favorite restaurant to one we won’t be visiting again. I’m very disappointed and saddened. :(

This is a diamond amidst the strip malls. Amazing food with fresh ideas, fun cocktails, and wonderful service! The aesthetic is classy yet modern. We are so happy to have found this place in our neighborhood.

Five O Three is fabulous! Delicious appetizers. The Pao Pao Fried Shrimp, and Steamed Manilla Clams, were almost impossible to stop eating!!! Unbelievable wine list. Creative cocktails as well as classic choices. My special, the grilled Mahi Mahi, had layers upon layers of flavor and texture. Dessert of Tiramisu with Spanish Coffee was the perfect finish. I love the atmosphere, the staff were attentive and efficient. Will definitely come back when for music on the patio.

We enjoyed the roast pork ravioli and steak frites. The wine was a Merlot from Chile which complimented both our dishes. The wine was on a great discount by the bottle which was a plus! Lavender crime brûlée for dessert was excellent! Live music was terrific as always and service was friendly and helpful. Five-O-Three is one of my go-to restaurants for a consistent 5 star experience!

Got reservations for 8 on a sat night which is not easy in Portland area. Everyone in the party loved their entrée which had a great well rounded selection but not overwhelming. Had the crab cake app, grilled romaine salad so good! And stuffed pork chop. Left stuffed after the deep dish cookie and apple pie alamode. Definitely return here for date night. Live music on patio was not to noisy for conversation but an added bonus.

We had yet another fine dining experience at 503 last night! Our whole party was pleased with the food and the atmosphere. There are some great new menu items. I had the blackened halibut and it was fantastic!!! Seriously so yummy! We are lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant in West Linn.

My husband and I have given a fair chance to this restaurant. We have ordered food to go twice. The first time was alright. The pork tenderloin was very dry, but the gnocchi was delicious. The second time we ordered we called it in. They called us back about 10 minutes later to tell us the online menu wasn’t accurate and the entrée we ordered is discontinued. They offered a substitute entrée which was $ 8 more. We were hungry and just went ahead and ordered it. When my husband went in to pick up our order we were shocked. $ 30 halibut looked more like something we used to feed our babies. It was 4 tiny halibut chunks smothered in a soupy corn mix. Such a disappointment. The bartender asked him if all looked good, when my husband said no, the bartender looked at him with disgust. The only thing worth getting at this restaurant is the Mac and cheese, which is only an appetizer. My advice… save your hard earned money and eat somewhere else.

Fantastic choice for our anniversary dinner. We had our 5 year old with us and were a little hesitant but we are so glad we went! Kids menu is decent and cheap! We both had the copper river salmon over wilted spinach and it was amazing. Will be back for sure! The space is small but there is a lot of outdoor seating if it’s not too hot. Live music weekly. Wonderful bar. Can’t go wrong here.

Went for the live music and took a chance on the menu. The music was great though kind of loud. The food was so-so. I order the Steak Frites. I asked for a medium steak and received blue-rare. The frites were interesting, not in a good way. Mixing spinach, blue cheese and a red-wine reduction just didn’t work for me. The wine made the fries soggy. It was like someone was shooting for a new age Poutine. They missed the target. My wife ordered the special, stuffed cod. It wasn’t that special. The only thing she had to say about it was bland. The weirdness continued when halfway through our meal the wait staff set up a line of chairs in front of the tables They were there to listen to the music but not eat dinner, We ended up with an audience watching us eat.

Zero patrons at 5 pm, yet snooty hostess says she can only seat me and husband at table in direct sun perched at top of cement stairs because«they’re all reserved». WTH?! This after I told her we would only be an hour. No freaking way does a restaurant sell out prior to 6pm. 503 – your loss is Lake Oswego’s gain. Guess I’m spending my money elsewhere.

Always great food. The live music on the weekends is also a nice touch. I had a smoked duck breast with risotto which was outstanding– it was moist and very flavorful.

Great food and wine list. Definitely recommend as a regular spot for West Linn residents. I especially like the pomme frites(sp?). Regular live music too.

My wife and I have been here twice, and both times we have really enjoyed the food! There isn’t a huge selection of food, but all the food is good. The service was excellent and the cocktail menu is amazing! I don’t think I would bring kids here, but it’s an excellent date night choice!

My wife and I had the pleasure to dine recently at Five-O-3. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful atmosphere and the diverse menu options available. The food was very good and the specialty cocktails didn’t disappoint either! We will definitely return soon to sample the other items on the menu! Our only wish, if we had one, was that our service was slower than usual. But the food made up for it!

We wanted to go to dinner near our house, and having just moved here from the city, we wanted to try something new. We came in with our 1 year old on a Monday night during the dinner hour, and we’re given the«pretty woman treatment” — you know, the scene where she walks into the pretentious store ready to buy, but was only given the cold shoulder? Yeah, that happened to us. Now, I know it’s not exactly marketed as family friendly, but to be stared at by staff, and sat in the back by the kitchen(in an empty restaurant) .it was a little off putting. The food– meh. Super pricey, and not anything awesome. The paella was good, but my sons quesadilla was definitely made with Kraft singles, and I guess the one advantage of sitting practically in the kitchen was I got to see the chef spray my food with Pam… don’t get me wrong, we really aren’t picky diners, or really, foodies even, but to charge $ 25 a plate for mediocrity, really doesn’t change my perception of suburban dining.
