I love Texas honey ham! These are hands down the BEST breakfast tacos in Austin. I used to go to high school right across the street and come here every day for lunch growing up. I also love their half grilled cheese and tomato soup. If you are in Austin you MUST make the trek to Westlake for the bfast tacos!!!

The staff is AWESOME!!! Friendly, funny, engaging. Food was mixed. Pulled pork, off the chain. Had a taco with pulled pork, onion, jalapeño and it was excellent. Bacon egg and cheese… mediocre. Hash browns are weird… mashed potatoes crusted up on the flat top. Tasty but weird. Green sauce good… red sauce boring. The staff and the pork will have me coming back.

What a great treat when someone brings breakfast tacos from THH to start the day at work. No matter what combination I have ever had, they are delicious and the tortillas are always delicious too.

Not bad food, but I can’t say I am a huge fan nor will I ever crave this restaurant. I came for the breakfast tacos and the breakfast roll with honey ham added. The breakfast tacos are average prices at $ 2.29 per taco, and they are build your own. I tried some with potato hash and honey ham, which was a good mix for me. The breakfast roll is warm and hearty, and the runny egg yolk is a plus. I do not see the specialness of this restaurant. There are better breakfast tacos all over Austin, and I’m not a die hard fan of honey ham either. I probably won’t come back unless whoever I’m eating with really wants it.

Let’s say, just for argument’s sake, that you’re the parent of a 10-year-old boy who will eat no food on the breakfast menu of any restaurant in this country. And let’s say that you have to hit the pediatrician early one morning, with no time to cook his pasta and Italian sausage in marinara and also(criminally) no Campbell’s chicken soup in the house. This would be the beginning of a magnificently horrible day. Lucky and very thankful is this hypothetical mom for the existence of Texas Honey Ham Company. They serve a Frito pie at breakfast and beyond that is worlds beyond any Frito pie served anywhere else on the planet. Warm Fritos; sweet, tender, moist pulled pork and house-made barbeque sauce; a light blanket of grated Cheddar. I got to try one bite, one time. It was really, really good. The pie comes in large and extremely huge portions. It soothes the savage breast. The more usual breakfast plates are equally awesome, for those who love an egg in the morning time or after. The baked potato hash is crispy and salty and not nearly enough of a great thing. The ham is moist and they give you plenty. Pancakes are made to order, massive, and come in very handy for wrapping around your extra ham, which is too good to leave on the plate, but dangerous if you have any plans for actually moving your stuffed-full body through whatever part of your day still lies ahead. I have only ever eaten breakfast here, which makes the best lunch ever, but friends and my mother have ordered sandwiches that by their looks make me think one day it will be worthwhile to branch out. Further evidence is the refusal of those friends and family members, every stingy one of them, to share anything more than the crusts of the fresh sourdough bread those sandwiches come on. For those who love variety on the plate, Texas Honey Ham makes a bunch of special-recipe sides, including a fresh, tasty apple slaw. It is not easy to find these little places with living, local people behind them whose main interest in life is to make good food their own way and serve it up for their neighbors. This is one. They will be happy to see and feed you, and you will be happier for being fed.

This place has been on my to-try list for awhile and I finally went last week. I have to say it definitely lived up to expectations and I was really impressed by how good/worth everything was. It’s a pretty casual place, one of those where you order up front and it’ll get brought out to your table later. I got the breakfast plate with their honey ham and a sausage/egg/potato hash breakfast taco. If you let them know it’s your first time there, they’ll give you a free sample platter of all their sides which was excellent! I’m really impressed by how good all the sides were. My favorites were the baked potato casserole, ham salad, and shells & cheese. Definitely getting those next time! The breakfast plate was really good and their honey ham is perfect. The baked potato hash is pretty unique, haven’t had anything like it before. I really really loved their breakfast taco! It was one of the best that I’ve eaten for sure. It’s kind of hard to describe exactly what’s so good about it but everything about it was amazing, even the flour tortilla! I’m totally in love with this place and I can’t wait to come back and pig out on everything again! It’s definitely worth a try if you’ve never been here before.

SOGOOD! I checked this place out due to its Unilocal reviews. It did not disappoint. Very friendly staff with lots of recommendations for first timers. Indoor and outdoor seating and tacos were delicious. I would also highly recommend getting a pancake. Although I’m not a huge pancake person the man working there suggested it and OMG it was so good! I’ll be back!

The best part about this place is the staff. They are so chipper and so accommodating, even in the earlier hours of the morning. I’m a somewhat picky eater and placed a complicated order, and the lady behind the counter gave me no problems or no attitude(this is a first). I’m not a huge fan of breakfast tacos, but my friends who had them said that they were absolutely delicious. I got a pulled pork sandwich(nothing special, it tasted like pulled pork.) The tacos were a little small and some of the bigger guys needed 3 to 4 of them to fill up, so even though it’s reasonably priced, it can get pricy if you have a big eater with you.

Overall great experience!!! The service was excellent and food did not disappoint. Highly recommend the breakfast tacos. My wife ordered the sausage taco, and I ordered the pulled pork build your own taco. Both were delicious. I highly recommend this place.

The best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. I get bacon egg cheese potato. The staff is so nice, and everything they make is delicious. Rob is so friendly, and so many of their staff remember names and faces so it feels very much like a neighborhood environment. Their cookies are AMAZING, and my secret pro tip is to ask for them to put it on the grill. They heat it up and it gets super melty and gooey on the inside while remaining crispy on the outside. It’s fantastic. They also have great sandwiches — namely the BLT. Only drawback is that it’s usually really crowded at peak hours(breakfast, lunch, and after school), and it can get kind of pricey for breakfast tacos. But the employees and food are amazing, and it’s still my favorite breakfast taco in Austin by a long shot.

They have everything ham, from breakfast to lunch to dinner! That’s pretty unique and interesting and generally everything tastes good. I’ve had the Frito pie(hearty) and sandwiches here and they’re good. Definitely a good option for lunch. Note that they can get crowded during lunch.

Yummy sandwiches. Yummy Hambone Soup. Yummy shells and cheese. Yummy breakfast tacos with not just your average ingredients. Yummy Salad. Yummy Potato Salad. I think that’s everything I’ve tried. All of it really good. Not always the healthiest, but way better quality than it’s competitors in the immediate vicinity(Popeyes and subway… how does subway stay in business with THH next door???). I call it in and in 10 minutes I walk over and pick it up. Solid. Don’t let their long lines fool ya that it’s gonna take forever; these kids have it down to a science. The line is long because it’s good. Friendly staff to boot, so they definitely get high marks in my book. Love ‘em!

SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR. I never thought I could find a breakfast taco that spoke to me like tacodeli. Until I wandered into this place. You won’t notice it for any flashy signs. Unilocal led me to this goodness and I must share. The potato, egg, cheese and sometimes Serrano(if I’m feeling spicy!) is TODIEFOR. Its gooey and you can tell those tortillas came from somewhere I want to be. Of course their ham sandwich is almost equally as awesome(but with the name was there any doubt) but this breakfast taco was such a surprise! The salsa is perfect and everything I would want from red salsa. This is a little piece of heaven!

The staff is so nice and the service is great! Truman was very tentative and showed me around the menu. If you’ve never been before, let them know and you can try all the sides on their menu for FREE! Shell and cheese … Enough said

Went on a Sunday morning; wasn’t very crowded. Told the greeter this was my first time and he made really great recommendations. Everyone was really nice and helpful and I will DEFINITELY visit again when I’m in Austin. I got the hambone bean soup which was absolutely delicious with good pieces of their honey ham throughout. I also ordered the club sandwich with ham and it was delicious as well! Looking forward to going back real soon!

This is a great find that I would’ve never known about without Unilocal. It’s kinda hidden in a shopping strip but what a gem! Had the breakfast plate with ham. They gave me samples of all the sides they offer since it was my first time and that was a great move on their part. Everything I tasted was awesome and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. I honestly wish I could give them 6 stars just because the staff was that great!!! I look forward to coming back frequently!

My favorite breakfast tacos in Austin! Texas Honey Ham is a local favorite that came back strong after a fire last year and there’s a reason they’re busier than ever. They cook everything all together on the grill which does amazing things for the flavor! My favorite is the simple egg, bacon, and potato. And there’s always sweet tea. From kids to clients, Honey Ham is a sure thing.

I love this place so much for their breakfast tacos and sweet tea. It is WLH’s secret local breakfast diner of choice. It does get busy especially on weekends. Tip for the wise: call in your breakfast order to go and go straight to the cash registers on the left side; it’s much faster. Their honey ham is like crack, my children absolutely devour it. I think their potato egg and cheese breakfast taco is my fave in town, and that is really saying something. Their breakfast sandwiches are also yummy, that’s what my hubs likes to get here. I’m not as enraptured by their lunch offerings, but maybe that’s because I am so rarely in this area at lunch time. I am so glad they rebuilt after the fire, and they are better than ever now. Keep on rockin’ it out TXHHC!
