Boardroom Salon for Men

I wanted to give love to The Boardroom. I recently purchased a year membership to The Boardroom and I love it. The membership allows me to come in as much as I want and get a great haircut or just get my neck cleaned up for the weekend. The people here are awesome and make you feel like you are a king. Special shout out to Brandi who checks me in and Jennifer who makes my hair look stylish! This is the perfect place for men to come and get taken care of. They even offer me a drink upon arrival. Thanks Boardroom!

I’ve been going to The Boardroom for several years. I’ve tried several locations from Houston to Bee Cave (now closed) to West Lake. I enjoy the care they put into providing an above average service, the membership offers great value for those who like to get cuts often and there is almost never a wait… Remember to book in advance (although walk-​ins are {sometimes} welcome).
They offer more than just haircuts so feel free to go all out and get your nails done too — your partner will thank you, even if they’ve never said anything to you about it before.
The only recommendation I would give to the business is, remember the names of your regulars and especially your members. Having to explain who I am after the 5^th+ visit gets frustrating. Also, it’s great to cultivate a relationship with your barber so he/​she knows you, your style, the look you’re going for and can provide the best cut. I have, until recently, had an issue booking with and actually meeting with the same person.
All in all, you won’t find anything else like this in ATX so if you’re willing to spend a bit more for the best, this is your place.

Brandi at the front desk was so nice and attentive to details and welcoming us for our first time. Also we had the best treatmets… thanks soooooooo much for the care that both stylists put into our treatments… they really care about you and make you feel you are the only person around and all the attention is on you… thanks again.

Great haircut in a upscale and relaxing setting… it’s also a rare treat to get a massage and hand treatment along the way. It was a delight and I recommend to anyone! Wonderful job!

I was running late and was told on the phone if I was 15 minutes late I’d have to get an express cut instead of an executive. I arrived 12 minutes late and they tried to force me to get an express cut anyway. I left. I will never go back. The place was dead. No customers at all. No excuse for not honoring your own policy!
Suffice it to say after discussion with the regional manager I am even unhappier. I feel that anyone who books appointments here is at risk of your service being lowered to a different tier at any time. The manager wouldn’t even admit to the 15 minute policy. She implied that they could claim that they don’t have time to do the massage or hot towel treatment even if you were less than 15 minutes late, I encourage you to stay far away. There are too many alternatives in this town to go back to the «Boardroom».
I suggested that they need to change their policies if they won’t even stand by them.
BTW I have time stamps (cell phone call and GPS tracking mileage app on my phone) to prove I had already been there, and left before the 15 minutes.

I’m a dude, going to a place supposedly designed for dudes. Making hair appointments isn’t something most of us do. Know your demographic and facilitate walk ins better. Guys don’t plan in advance and certainly not for our frickin hair. Just now there were like 10 chairs in there with not a single customer in the place, but the receptionist says «no availability, all booked up and we close at 5». Well, don’t expect someone to drive across town to get a haircut and get turned away from an empty salon and leave feeling satisfied, so you get 1 star. If you want repeat business, find away to facilitate the customers who want to walk in and give you their business. Or, just say by appointment only, don’t mislead us with «walk ins welcome».

Was on a weekend holiday visiting Austin and needed to be groomed up a bit (haircut)… Found this place and what can I say… I’m in love!
What a great concept for men. Total chill, have a beer (if you want), grab a haircut, shave and great relaxing scalp massage… This place rocks!

Been there 3 times. Manni O gave me a excellent haircut went back and he was no longer there. Called and went by to find out where he went and they wouldn’t tell me or even his last name. The other stylist gave me a horrible haircut and didn’t listen to anything I told her. So without Manni being there I have to give this place a one star instead of 5.

I took my 8 yr old son here for a quick hair cut. We called at 6:10pm, got us in for 6:30pm with Manni. We got there at 6:40pm due to heavy traffic, but they still cut my son’s hair (Manni supposed to get off at 7p, but he stayed late till 7:15p). They were very nice and friendly!

Best haircut experience I’ve had. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Met by Brandy at the door and felt welcomed immediately. Left relaxed and with a great cut. Will definitely be back!

This is a haircut experience! I have to say I was blown away by the service and overall experience! My stylist Christina H, who I have been seeing for about a year now, does a great job! I’m picky and hard to please and she ALWAYS takes care of me! The entire staff at this location greeted me and was very friendly! I recommend the benchmark service, you will enjoy this relaxing experience! I’ve seen a lot of places but Christina and The Boardroom are hard to beat! I will be back!

Thought it time for a change, so this place comes up on Unilocal.Walked in for my appointment – met immediately by Brandi, who warmly made me feel right at home. Then was taken by Lydia, who not only gave me an awesome cut – she consulted me about my particular (challenged) hair. Quite knowledgable and also made me feel comfortable. The included salon service was wonderful – never had paraffin wax on my hands before, but damn – this guy like lots. Same great service on the way out – lovely Brandi combined a great smile with a thorough explanation of the services and products. No pressure sales at all. I highly recommend this place – Lydia and Brandi are da’ bomb!

Great place to get a cut and relaxing massage. Went here for the first time earlier this week and was impressed with everything about it. I will certainly return!

This is not a haircut; this is a haircare experience. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than other establishments, but the old idiom is true: «You get what you pay for.» I have never felt like I overpaid once for the service, styling, and spa treatment I receive. It took two haircuts to decide I wanted to become an Executive member, and the more often one visits, it actually becomes much more cost effective.
You are greeted by warm receptionists, but Brandi is the bomb dot com. She is so friendly and recognizes my voice when I call in for an appointment. She is always smiling and engaging, especially with my sons. Even when they are not with me, she asks how they’re doing.
Lexi is the only one to cut my hair thus far, but I don’t even want to try anyone else. Wow. Why try to improve perfection? I’ve started going to see her on Mondays, and because of Lexi, I’m screaming T.G.I.M. My youngest son was diagnosed with autism, and Lexi goes out of her way to make sure he has a good haircut experience. She is so patient with him, which is necessary at times. Previously, he HATED haircuts, but now he actually looks forward to them.
I’ve recommended other men to go here, and every one of them that has tried out The Boardroom in West Lake has become a regular there now. You will not be disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Five stars seems like too low of a rating!

The experience was okay I guess. The place was really nice and friendly staff and I really liked my haircut and stylist… but $ 40 for simple haircut and shampoo was way overpriced! My wife doesn’t even pay that much for her hair cut and she has a lot more of it. I can go down the street (literally), and pay $ 10 less and get a cut, shampoo, straight razor neck shave, neck and shoulder massage, and complimentary edge-​out between appointments. Would consider returning if prices changed or they increased the services on their basic haircut package.

I booked my appointment for the Boardroom’s signature Benchmark service online, the process was fast and simple. The location is right off of Mopac so it was really easy to get to.
When I first arrived I was kindly greeted and asked if I was coming in for an appointment. I confirmed that I had made an appointment and was then introduced my hair stylist, Lydia H. I was offered a drink from a range of beers and other beverages before sitting down in an extremely comfortable large leather chair. The interior was stunning, everything looked brand new and clean and it smelled very fresh. The stylist asked if I liked the cut that I came in with (I didn’t, it was a bad cheap one) and what I was looking for. She made it really easy to tell her what I wanted even though I was quite bad at articulating it.
The hair cut was very enjoyable and is definitely the best hair cut I’ve EVER gotten. My wife was amazed at how good it looked!
After the hair cut I was taken to a comfortably lit room a little further in the back for the other Benchmark services. As a guy, I don’t usually have any «pampering» done… but after this I might have to reconsider my stance on that! I had my hands gently dipped in the paraffin then wrapped and put in a comfortable «mitten». The shampoo, conditioning, and scalp massage was wonderful. The hand massage was great, it especially felt good because of the warmth and texture of the paraffin.
The whole experience was very relaxing, I almost fell asleep a few times! I will definitely be coming back to this location for the next time I need a haircut!
