Camera Shy Photography

We went for my son’s first birthday family pictures and cake smash. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. They just kind of assign you a room to start and at the beginning I kind of felt disappointed about it but it turns out there are a lot of places and backgrounds in one single room and by the middle of the session we changed to a different room where we also had more choices for the background. Our photographer was Jocelyn and she was amazing!!! She made my son laugh all the time and we all had a wonderful day! And the pictures are awesome, a family treasure !!!

I am so disappointed in Camera Shy. I have been to Camera Shy twice now. Before my last session I had emailed them on Facebook to see if there were any promotions going on. I didn’t get a response until after my session that there was a deal for $ 5 off plus two free sheets (It was over a week later I got this response). The day of the session I had also asked them if they had any promotions and they said no. They didn’t give me the offer, but said they would give it to me on my next session.
I make an appt. for a third session and emailed them to make sure that they apply the offer. They emailed me back saying they would apply it, but then told me they didn’t see my appt. I had made the appt. a month ago online. They weren’t able to get my time that I had booked it for, but rescheduled it to a later time. For the inconvenience they would only give me $ 5 off. They said that is all they can do. This is coming from the director and the owner of the company.
So I missed out on a promotion on my last session because they didn’t get back to me on time and didn’t even offer it to me, but would give it to me if I book another session. Then they lose my appt. and move it to a later time. For the inconvenience they only give me $ 5 off. You would think for being a repeat customer that they would bend over backwards for you, but no. Thank goodness I found out before I went there. I have twins that are going to be one and a 4 yr old and I don’t live close to their West Jordan location. It would have been awful. I ended up canceling my appt. I’m just not happy with how they have consistently treated me with poor customer service.

We came here for a family photo session, and liked our experience very much. This place is not extravagant or extremely expensive, but it is nice, simple, effective, and friendly. Our photographer did well with the two kids (5 and 3) to keep them in good moods and smiling for the camera.
The photographer asked before we started if we had any preferences as to the background, types of shots, or combinations of people, etc. My sister had only a few loose requests, so the photographer ran with it and quickly came up with ideas and bounced them off of us. She was very sensitive to any preferences we had and was very flexible.
The results were ready an hour later, and the family got to view a slideshow of all the pictures in their viewing room. We ended up with a DVD of them for what I think is a reasonable price. The shoot itself lasted around an hour, and pictures were done an hour later, so it’s not a bad deal to be able to get it done all before lunch.
