Worst food ever! The bbq was cold and the fries hard cause the oil hadn’t been changed. And it’s very unprofessional for the owner to review her own business on here

We will not eat in this restaurant. Very small and dingy. Servers and workers are incredibly rude. We ordered carryout on wing Wednesday and it was supposed to be smoked wings but I could do better at home. The smoke must have been liquid smoke because the meat didn’t taste smoked. Very disappointed! I will not going back unless it’s a very last resort.

We’ve been here a bunch of times for BBQ and it was really good. So while we were visiting this time, we wanted to go with family from out of town. Unfortunately the food was not good. The waitress was nice and she tried hard, but she could only do so much since the food wasn’t really edible. The chicken was way over cooked and dry while being served cold and the ribs had been rubbed with seasonings that made them inedible. They had cooked them to the point where you couldn’t even cut through them. The pulled pork was ok on the sandwich, but a bit dry, and sweet potato fries were obviously previously frozen and when served, weren’t hot and were greasy at the same time. The best part was the coleslaw and hush puppies. The service was really slow, but apparently the waitress was stuck being the only person to help customers, because her staff all called in «sick». So she was doing her best, but we ended up having to wait quite a while for food and drinks. We came to find out when we were paying that they had just changed owners a couple weeks prior and things weren’t going well. Needless to say, we won’t be going back and would never recommend it to anyone. It’s a shame because this used to be a good place to eat at a decent price!

When you can tap on your smoked chicken with the edge of your knife and it goes«clunk», you know it’s not going to be a happy dinner. A chicken must never clunk. Then there were the ribs, which couldn’t even be divided for eating. The chicken and ribs were also seasoned with an overly spicy dry rub. The chicken was hot on the exterior and cold inside. When sent back we didn’t think it was going to return. It really didn’t matter, as it wasn’t worth eating. The pork was pretty good, but had more fat than usual and was barely lukewarm. I ordered the«large plate,» which was barely a lunch size portion. The sweet potato fries were obviously pre-packaged frozen. They were soggy with no sweetness. The cole slaw was okay. The only saving grace was the basket of hush puppies. They were hot, fluffy, well seasoned and non-greasy. Moving on to the sauces — there were two. The sweet sauce was runny and the Carolina vinegar based sauce had little tang or flavor. They both tasted watered down. They were also both served straight from the fridge, which didn’t help the matter of the already tepid food. The only waitress, who was juggling the entire room, said that they had been under new ownership for a short time. If the new owner doesn’t get this straightened out in short order, this place is just going to be going under for the last time.

One of the few places open on a Sunday in this Bible-beltish area. Tried the BBQ nachos which were made with homemade potato chips fresh from the fryer and a generous portion of pulled pork. Would have been better with real cheddar instead of processed cheese sauce, but still surprisingly good. Baby back ribs were also not too bad. Found a dead spider in my macaroni salad. I guess it happens. Worth trying, especially on a Sunday when it might be the only game in town.
