Monte De Rey

Stopped in on June 17^th. Seating was very quick as was the service. Chips and salsa were brought to the table and right away I noticed that they were very fresh, not greasy (which I hate), the salsa had a little kick to it but not so hot that it felt like a flame thrower had been turned on me. For the meal I ordered the quesadilla grande. Not exaggerating it was the best one I have had in a VERY long time. All ingredients were fresh and very tasty !!! I will definitely be returning to this little gem in the near future ! Bottom line is that you need to try this place. You will be rewarded with great food and fast friendly service !!

Delicious! Hidden behind a few stores in the back of a Walmart parking lot. HUGE cheese dip! We ordered the special– the Pina Texana. Half a pineapple stuffed with chicken, steak, shrimp, and veggies! ACP was also very good. Service was great, drinks were refilled many times. Overall a hidden gem.

It’s not easy to see from the main road but easy to get to beyond the end of Walmart parking lot. This was our first visit and we will certainly return. We were under the mistaken impression the restaurant was permanently closed as was reported by another online site. Far from the truth as was evidenced by the number of cars in the parking lot. I had the combination plate and my wife a lunch special. We both felt that the food had much more flavor than similar dishes in other Mexican restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. The dishes were served hot as they should be.
We do recommend it based on this first experience and hope that those that follow will enjoy it also.
